It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

You're right. "Who Cares" was made in 1925 by Paramount and starred Clara Bow, William Boyd (who later became 'Hopalong Cassidy' )and Richard Arlen. It was about two rival firemen, one on the Broadway Limited, the other on the 20th Century Limited and their love for the girl that ran the interlocking out of Chicago. The climax was a tremenduous train wreck that killed them both because the girl decided the heck with it and left the interlocking tower at a crucial point in the film to run off with a young Gary Cooper.

Lord of the Rings:Return of the King. That is a cool movie indeed.

I challenge Peter Jackson to the most difficult movie to do from Tolkien though,.......

The Silmarilion....Good Luck With That!

Just for those who don't know it; it tells the story of before the Lord of the Rings. You would get to see Sauron a lot more plus his master Morgoth. You get to see several balrogs, a dragon, shelob's mother (the giant spider), the valar (gods), and a lot of heros.

Major battles, gruesome victories, terrible defeats, wrath of the gods.........

Sounds like a cool movie to me.

Aggro asked us, "What are your favorite movies?"

Clint Eastwood's The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, and maybe one or two of his lesser known movies.

CJM: Add "Where Eagles Dare", the film he made back in '69 with Richard Burton. Beautiful Austrian alpine scenery and everything in the world gets blown up. Reason I like it so much is that Eastwood only has about a page worth of dialogue in the whole film, so I don't have to listen to that raspy voice of his.

Where Eagles Dare is a rather good movie, After reading Clint Eastwood's Biography, I guess Richard Burton was tanked pretty much through the whole shoot.

CJM, Eastwood said in his book he think's unnecessary dialogue takes away from the movie. Manerisims give more depth to most of his characters.
