Packers#1Probably going to give them reporting marks for the South Carolina, Georgia, and Western
Awwww...the car looks red and rusted enough to be owned by the WRS!
lol, gives me another project. Probably going to give them reporting marks for the South Carolina, Georgia, and Western (the Aiken Northern RR history will be up soon)

Hey guys. No video this time, as there really isn't much to discuss/explain. Been making some headway on scenery, although the pace has slowed. Also finished up both engines; someday in the future I will get undec. shells for all three ANRR locos (both geeps and the U23B) and paint it in the red and white scheme, but this will work for now.GP9:GP35:Tracks:Improved hoppers:Overview:
To be honest I probably don't have anything you'd want.
I've got a spare Metroliner shell that i might part with if you have anything i'm interested in. I could also probably give you the trucks, less the wheels (you don't want them anyway, plastic junk). its a first run Metroliner, so it's frame is crumbled, so i can't provide you with that.

Yep! P42, some amfleets, and a 9600. I am need of way to much money so it will be awhile but still, yes.

Or you could WAIT until I have my Amtrak push pull set...
You building a Metroliner Cab? I'm doing one Phase III, and i might do another more recent one.
I still need to get some more Metroliners. I've decided I'm going to try and build up a large fleet of them, but not just the standard bachmann paints. I'm going to try and do the later-run Metroliners with the different paint and roof humps, as well as put some in Penn Central paint. I should be able to make stemman pans after my arrow III experiences.
It will be fun if i can find some more dummies.
I actually have it painted, but i don't have any photos of it. I just need to modify the doors, and its done.
Yeah...I'm thinking that this will be a long-time goal for me - there is money for trains in the budget (my Kodak Zi8 camera is coming in this week and I'm not getting a DSLR until I need to!) but I have loads of projects that take priority over an optional passenger train...which I'd still need a locomotive plus a decoder for.
Walthers Amfleet coaches are on sale!

Guilford GuyPffft! Buy your own commmuter trains!
You were the one lobbying for them in the first place!
Maybe I'll get a long-distance Boston - White River Junction (to connect with the Montrealer) Amtrak service. An F40PH and a trio of Amfleet coaches should do it. I'll name it the Red Wing or the Alouette after the Boston & Maine trains that once served the line... Nashua, Manchester, and Concord have wanted passenger service for a long time and I bet Boston would like a connection to Montreal that doesn't require going via Springfield.
Sweet pics GG.
Finished up the weathering on my locos today. Surprised at how easily that red weathers compared w/ ATSF blue. Think I WELL overdid it though, so while they still aren't horrible, I will probably end up redoing them along with the U23B when I get the funding for some new shells etc. from Atlas (just something I've wanted to do, and keeps these original shells how they are for comparison/memories). but anyways, did a bit more scenery work today, though the weathering was the main focus.
Pffft! Buy your own commmuter trains! I'll take decoders anyway though!
When I buy 4 and 6 function decoders for ditch lights on the GP15s and GP18s, then I can give you a decoder to put in one of the RDCs plus alpha-numeric decals to reletter one "NHDOT" because the citizens on my railroad WANT COMMUTER RAIL!
I didn't want to over-do it but yes, they all have weathering on the under frames.
Nice buy GG. The weathering looks good. I can't tell if you did or not by the photos, but if you didn't, I think you should add (add more) grime to the bottom of the cars to represent dirt/mud being thrown up from the balast and the wheels. I don't think there would be very much soot along the bottom of cars (especially the pilots). The only place you could have soot is around the two Detroit Diesel engines located in the middle of either side of the car.
RDC Pix!
Noses, heh, they have 2.

modelbnsfer Hey Is your layout finished and do you operate yours with like car cards or a switch list and is this your first layout because your diorama pixs were really nice, better then some of the ones in mr. What kind of airbrush do you use because I would like to get one but have no idea what brands are good or what I even need. Taylor

I have an old Passhe that was my dad's, I love it and still sprays great. I have had my eye on the SATA minijets. They are automotive grade airbrushs, cost about $300. Good quality though.

When in doubt. grab a hammer.
If it moves and isn't supposed to, get a hammer
If it doesn't move and is supposed to, get a hammer
If it's broken, get a hammer
If it can't be fixed with a hammer... DUCK TAPE!
I found the coupler boxes, just need to strip off the old weathering from the RDC3s and I'll have a 5 car train!
Sweet GG, looking forward to those pics!
My RDCs arrived today! I'm still hunting for the coupler boxes to my 2 RDC3s so I can run those in consist with my 3 new RDC2s. I just finished weathering them, pix will be up later tonight when the parents come back with the camera. Still waiting on that second GP15 though.
modelbnsferSawyer- haven't touched the train in a month and havent worked on it for over 6 so don't feel bad.

lol, ok man. I'm hopefully going to add some more woodland scenics grass tonight, either to the ditch or the other "field" by the interchange track.
WCfanThat's pretty neat Tyler, although I wouldn't mind some captions under the pictures.
The actual calendar has them under all the photos - I've just replaced the old screenshot on the download page with an image of the new calendar, with the captions.
Tyler: That calendar is sick! I'm gonna haveta print me out one...
modelbnsferMy high school is small though so you guys probably go to big high schools.
Not even close. We only have about 500 kids. Catholic school, that's why. And it seems like it's shinking by the second, since people keep leaving...
Jordan- That makes zero sense to me...
Here's mine:Monday LabDouble 1, 2, 3, 5, 56, 6, Double 7 (no 4 and 8)Tuesday LabDouble 2, 3, 4, 5, 56, 6, Double 8 (no 1 and 7)Wednesday Non-Lab1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 56, 6, 7, 8 (all classes)Thursday LabDouble 3, 4, 1, Double 5, 56, 8, 7 (no 2 and 6)Friday LabDouble 4, 1, 2, 56, Double 6, 7, 8 (no 3 and 5)
For me, 1st is Chem H, 2 is Band, 3 is Theology, 4 is Gym (driver's ed 1st quarter, gym 2nd and 4th quarters, and writing [ugh] 3rd quarter), 5 is lunch, 56 is English H, 6 is Algebra 2 H, 7 is US History, and 8 is Spanish 2.On Thursdays and Fridays, you usually end up with a different lunch. For example, my regular lunch (M-W) is A (period 5). On Thursdays, I have B, and I have C on Fridays. I just wish there was double lunch.
Each class is 40 minutes, with 3 minutes in between, and doubles are 83 minutes. Homeroom starts at 8 and ends at 8:07 (first block [I would say period, but 1st period is not always first] starts at 8:10). I'm not gonna go through the entire day, but I'll say that last period ends at 2:34. On Faculty Meeting days (1st Wednesday of the month), classes are 30 minutes, and we get out at 1:04. On Liturgy days (when we have Mass), it's wierd (it's like homeroom, 1, 2, homeroom again, liturgy, 5, 56, 6, 4, 7, 8, or something like that [I'm too lazy to reach over and look at the schedules in our planner...]). We have a different schedule for every possible scenario, and it gets kinda annoying...
I'll shut up now...

Cool. Thanks Ty!
And I can beat all of your crazy schedules, I definately have the simplest:
7 periods of 50 minutes, 5 minutes between each class except between periods 2 and 3, we get 15 minutes break. Period 5 is lunch.
Hey Everyone
You guys all have confusing schedules. Mine is 1,2,3(15 minutes longer for homeroom time),4, lunch 5,6 hour and its like that everyday of the year. My high school is small though so you guys probably go to big high schools.
