Good Morning All,
Regular and a donur please especially if the tabs still on Dan. Above the frost point this morning but stil overcast. Looks like Thanksgiving dinner at the waffle house again as I'll be on my way to Summit Point Raceway tomorrow.
Should be able to finish the Lotus 7 in time though we have half the shop on it now doing the detail stuff that makes a race car.
Dan - any good industrial supply should be able to get the small drills taps and screws you need. Typically HD doesn't stock anything smaller than #4 screws. The best bet is a set of # 60 to 80 drill bits so you have the proper tap drill sizes for the screws. You will of course also need a tap handle and a micro drill chuck if you don't already own that stuff. A good start and compromise I found is a set of welding tip drills at my local welding supply house. There are enough different sizes to be useful, and the set I found had a hand drill with it.as well. When you buy taps it is always better to get two of each just in case. When drilling and taping in metal use cutting lubricant on the drill and tap not engine oil or 3 in 1 etc. Most times a bit of candle wax will suffice for small jobs and is less messy. Plastic usually doesn't need any lube to drill or tap. If you do not have a local industrial supply and you want larger quantities than economically available through Walthers or Micro Mark, try MSC. www.MSCdirect.com . They have good prices and fantastic service. I have an account with them and usually phone in my orders so they can check stock and price immediately. Hope that helps.
Colby - you got some good advice here, and it's good you shared the problem with your Dad. Some people can apply sexual connotations to a brick so just ignore the hecklers.
Coffees ready to go and it's time to pick up tools. My prayers for those in need and hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving ! CUL,J.R.

We have the nor’easter sittin’ over us the past 24 hours and dumping all kinds of rain, the gauge is full already, 5” + and counting. The creek is flowing like white water behind the house; wish I still had a canoe.
Already started preparing for the big meal, will be baking the pies tonight and putting the turkey in the salt brine marinade tonight. Then tomorrow morning the injector gets filled with an olive oil and butter herb infusion and the turkey seasoned up and in the oven.
You all have a great and Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm hungry! But there's no way I can finish this by myself. Anyone want to help me with this Thanksgiving sized cheeseburger?

Sure Philip, I can help, but you got any fries with that too?

HEY!!!!
My man Ryan has just what I need! Hook me up man!
Hello all, I'm home! Ok David, give up the computer so I can log on.
Been cutting up more plywood today. I cut over 1,500 pieces, mostly box bottoms, tops and ends. I had one moment there when I thought I might get hurt badly. I was cutting a piece of 3/4" CDX measuring 4' x 3 1/5' when it slipped and got gaught on top of the saw blade. the saw threw it back at me. It hit me right above the belt buckle with enough force that it knocked the wind out of me and pushed me back about a foot. I'm glad it hit me on a broad edge and not with a corner. As it is, I have a somewhat nasty bruise there now, and I don't bruise easily.

Hi Gang:
Dan: That sounds like a good deal from Micro Mark. That would get you started and as you figure out what else you want you could add. I've got 50 years of tools and still find something that I need. OK want.
Happy Turkey Day to everyone. Mary Ann and I are going to spend the day at home. She is going to cook up a turkey and trimings and we'll have our own little party.
Jeff: I had that happen to me also. I guess if you use a table saw for any amount of time it will happen.
Well I'm going to head for bed.
Good Night All

Here's a recipe for turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Subject:Fw: Thanksgiving TurkeyRecipe
1 whole chicken or turkey1 large lemon, cut into halvessprig of rosemarysalt and pepper to tastebutter or olive oil, whichever you prefer
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Rub butter or oil over the skin of the chicken/turkey until it iscompletely coated. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any otherseasonings you prefer.
Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the *** meat; Slidelemon halves under the skin ; with the peel side up, one on eachside. This way the juice from the lemon will release into the breasts.Place sprig of rosemary into the chicken/turkey.
Cover and bake for 30-45 minutes. Remove cover and continue to roastuntil juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes. If you've followed these steps correctly, your chicken/turkey should look like the one in the picture.

jeffrey-wimberly wrote:It's a good day for everyone but the turkey, but did you know that the turkey was nearly listed as our nations national symbol instead of the bald eagle?
Franklin's Letter to His Daughter (excerpt)
"For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country. He is a Bird of bad moral Character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk; and when that diligent Bird has at length taken a Fish, and is bearing it to his Nest for the Support of his Mate and young Ones, the Bald Eagle pursues him and takes it from him.
"With all this Injustice, he is never in good Case but like those among Men who live by Sharping & Robbing he is generally poor and often very lousy. Besides he is a rank Coward: The little King Bird not bigger than a Sparrow attacks him boldly and drives him out of the District. He is therefore by no means a proper Emblem for the brave and honest Cincinnati of America who have driven all the King birds from our Country . . .
"I am on this account not displeased that the Figure is not known as a Bald Eagle, but looks more like a Turkey. For the Truth the Turkey is in Comparison a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America . . . He is besides, though a little vain & silly, a Bird of Courage, and would not hesitate to attack a Grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his Farm Yard with a red Coat on."
