Evening all, barley pop please dear,
Been a very long day round here. Got nothing done I should have, to many kids and other goings on
. No change in Becky yet, but they think she is responding to the anti-boiatics now. Geuss we'll know more in two, three days.

LUCT,,, liked the joke.

Chuck n Kathy,,, hope the health stuff clears up soon, and your surgery goes well.

PA,,, I agree with Flip, when your legal ok.. Of all the stunts I've pulled growing up and I done alot, racing a lawn mower with a car wasn't one of them.

Mike ,,, a girl ask mother for her ID awhile back, and I got to laughing. Then Mother ask what I laughing for, the girl didn't ask me for mine. Wasn't near as funny then.

Jim CG,,,, Glad ya liked the photo, just got lucky again. Like I've said before don't know bout any mag. wanting it.

Best get off here, bout time to put kids to bed and me too. Gotta get two of them up n ready for school early. I'll have J Bird, Leroy and KC tomorrow also, I think it'll be another long one.

Evenin’ Chloe - a cup of mocha and a hot fudge brownie sundae, please. Thanks, Chuck & Kathy!

PC, really like your food pics. Of course, it puzzles me sometimes - how do you find some of those other pics. Confused [%-)] Think I’ll have some of that salmon, too, please, Chloe.

Neal, loved your Marriage-RR sign tale. Thumbs Up [tup] Good one!

Jeff, I’d just Sign - Ditto [#ditto] what the others said on teens - leave a little slack in the line, but teach him what he needs to learn on the website (and the 'why' - I recall that was my favorite word when I was a teenager - about drove my Mom up the wall with that). Hey - did you get an aerial photo of PC’s house? Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Mike, will be praying for Becky (and the rest of the family, especially Heather). I liked your pic, and would agree with the others on the Trains mag idea. Yeah!! [yeah]

Fergie, I can understand the “Where can I hide until the remodel is done?” feelings there. Will pray for both your Dad’s health (and motivation) to improve, as well as for the construction crew to be amazingly efficient and quick.

Jerry, we had our first frost of this season Friday morning - light stuff, but slowed me down on the way to work (had training). Neighbor was adding antifreeze to his SUV when I went out to the car that afternoon, too. Had another freeze Friday night, but at least none to scrape this morning.

RT, sorry to hear about your Mom. Will keep you, Donna and the family in my prayers. Angel [angel] Angel [angel]

Lisa, good to know you’re still around. Sorry to hear about your MIL, and hope your hubbie’s tests find out whatever is going on with his sight so they can take care of it. Sign - Ditto [#ditto] what PC said about the Real Healer!

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Perry - especially liked the cabinets (and the T-Rex! (Kind of in the line of the Gorre and Daphetid RR... Big Smile [:D]  But it looks like a couple of spots got a bit tooooo close to fire season there! Shock [:O] Hope you’ve been enjoying the Shop here. My layout is set in the late 1950’s, out in your general neck o’the woods (Four Corners) - a freelanced RR. Now, I wonder if I could find some HO scale dinos?...Wink [;)] Looks like you’ve put some good work into your layout already. Thumbs Up [tup]

Hi again, Attaboy - good to see you in the Shop!

Saturday morning, went with some other MRR club members to a train show in Kirkwood (St. Louis suburb, basically). It was held by the Mississippi Valley N Scalers (but they had N, HO and O scale layouts, plus the dealers had a lot of HO - which made me happy). I was surprised at all the O scale dealers (fair amount of Lionel stuff - must be lot of collectors out there, or those with eyesight worse than mine...) Wink [;)] I bought a couple of MOW cars - a boom tender, and another one with several windows (but it wasn’t a bunk car - I know what those are like - besides, he had one of those, too). Also, I got another ATSF 50’ SD boxcar (AAR type), which luckily had a different car number than the one I already had.

Paul, good to hear your report from the Dr. Oh, Paul - I also bought another ore car (SP, silver - will definitely have to paint that). In talking with some of the club guys on the return trip, their take was that about trying to order the Walthers unlettered ore cars, I may be better off to just order some lettered cars and re-do them for my CAW (Past couple of times I’ve tried to order them, Walthers has run out of the unlettered ones before my order gets filled, and I refuse to sit on back order for a year to get them). Might have a better chance that way, at least.

Cool day this afternoon. The short sleeve shirts are going to the back of the closet for a few months.

Got some track nailed down this afternoon (maybe a third or so), and re-did most of the mainline roadbed (for the curves at the edges of the layout I showed several pages back). Also got the uneven patch on one spot across the join line between sections evened out, too. So it was a pretty good weekend for my MRR'ing. Smile [:)]

Watching the Cardinals tonight - hope they win another one! Amazing that they're doing things better now than they were usually able to during the regular season games. Buy hey, so long as their pitchers hold up and Pujol and the other batters deliver, they just might get to trounce the Mets! Wink [;)] Go, Redbirds! Yeah!! [yeah]

Blessings and prayers for healing and peace,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

Flip,    Man did you ever make my day... I remember about 7 years ago I was in a convenience store buying beer and the emploee ask me for an ID. I could have kissed her, showed her my ID and told her I have been 21 for over 25 years.   I love it when a plan comes together.              Mike

How about this nice home going up in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Should be a great train watching spot. Just sit out on the porch and watch them rumble by.

Hi All;

Haven't had much time to work here, tryinging to get ready to go to Quartsite, Az. Son has a sale there for 3 months to get rid of 1600 bars of soap in about 15 different smells, his biggest money maker all year, supports himself and house for this work. Trying to get truck and my 30ft. trailer ready for him, his first time with a trailer this big.

Kathy spent 3 days in hosp. has "D' type Hepatitius; has something to do with liver; to much fat around liver. Put her on diet and pills; she has to lose 60lbs and excerize. How can you excerize when you cannot even walk??????? So we started to do as said and she is getting much better. My surg. is trying to set up a time to operate on my back, upper part; nerve caught in neck, this will be the 3rd time for this; making all my left shoulder and arm and hand full of pain and sleep. They finally found out. HOORAY..................

Oh!!!!! I'm not going to Az. the truck and trailer is going.......

I've been slowly working on my scratchbuilt buildings a little at a time 15min here and there. Kathy says to tell you why!!!!!!!!!! She cut my allowence down.............

Prayers and thanks to all who are in need. I'm going back to catchup.....Later

Afternoon Everyone:

Her I am at work again. I went to a train show yesterday at the Lockheed-Martin Recreational Area. It's a yearly show and was all right. There were 3 layouts on exibit besides the LMRA club layout. There layout is nice but crowed for spectators during a show. There were plenty of vendors but I only got one G scale wood ore car by Bachman. It seems that Brad with Brad's Trains brings one to every show and I end up buying it. He does give a healthy discount. I'm going to stop on the way home and see if one of the vendors has the MDC ore car that I saw. His price was alittle steep so I'll see if he'll come down since the show is almost over.

RT: I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Even though it was expected it is sad. My thoughts are with you and the family.

My best wishes to everyone in need. It's time to hit the clock so I'll say So Long.

At a station stop, the railroad's president walked up to the locomotive and spoke to the engineer. "You were going 65 mph and the speed limit is only 60 mph, I saw it myself on the speedometer in the business car!" After a heated exchange, the engineer finally said "you couldn't possibly have been going 65, my speedometer said 60 mph and we never saw you go by us!"

Good Morning All

Another glorious but cool (48f) here in Nova Scotia but warm enough to go riding in shorts. We've had three inches of rain in the past two days better than snow but still very wet. I finished planting Dad's Rose Garden yesterday before the rains started again.

As for Dad he's still along way from being healthy  again as they GI infection has been negative for two days but there is still a small amount of fluid in the lungs. He's started his physio but he was very discouraged as he is so very week right now and requires a walker. A hard bitter pill to swallow when you've been healthy all your life. Again thanks for the prayers.

Today I mount the assault on the garage as I have to have it cleared out before the builders start within the next week or so. In other words another week of no MR'ngSad [:(]

Later All

Morning all!

Glad to see  everyone straggling in this morning.

Hi Chloe!  Awww, you didn't have to do that!  What will everyone else think when they find out you cooked me a special breakfast?

So whats everyone got in mind for the day?  Me, I'm going to do a little schoolwork and hang out with the family.  I might swing by the old house and pick up a few things, but I don't know.

Fergie, glad to hear your dad is doing better.  I've been praying for him.

Well, I'm off!

Check ya later!

Good Evening All

RT: I'm sorry for your loss. My Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time as it is surely difficult for you and your family.

Not much on this end as it is quickly becoming fall here as the colours of the trees are turning and mother nature is in her full glory.

Dad is still in the hospital but on the mend. I suspect he'll be in for another week or so providing he stays healthy.

Builders start in just over a week and Dad;s house is now on the market. Give me a quiet place to rest and hide until this storm passes.

Have a good night

RT-Thanks for the pics.

Ryan- Campbell Soups used to sell Ox-Tail soup in cans. Thanks for the pics. Ya'll make a good threesome. Yes, it is nice to meet up with others from the CS.

Got lucky at the train show. $3 for a Rivarossi B-M snowplow, $5 each for a r-t-r B-M 50 ft. box and a D&RG Cookie boxcar. It is the third in that series. Now have 60026,60028 and now 60052. Also picked up a couple Southerns and an FEC 50 ft.box.

Prayers for us all and Thankyou Lord for all our Blessings.
