Yup!! And I hope everyone has enjoyed them.

Ok, I have the last ones to post and they are the special ones to me. Some of you that have been in the CS since last Nov might remember that I had a good friend by the name of Jack Evans pass away. I hope you don’t mind if I post a plaque that was made by a friend that works in a sign shop and helped Jack out quite a bit in his last couple weeks. It has been put up on the side of the barn and next to the steaming bay that Jack used at the steam meets.

The plaque before his picture was put on it

See if the X is gone now. I didn't have any trouble before and they came up in the preview as well.

If they still don't come up you can see them in my Photobucket account under Apex 2006 and I think you will know which ones they are.

Duke

I think I know what happened. From the time I posted to when you came in I moved them in my account from the main page to the Apex 2006 album and the forum couldn't find them, but it should be ok now because I took them from the new album.

Check this out!

This happened just a couple of minutes ago. What's wrong with this picture?

Did you notice? They're still coupled together. These are non-shelf couplers. What are the chances of them staying together?

Evenin’ Chloe - a cup of coffee and an apple pie a la mode, please. Give Jerry my thank-you when he gets back in the Shop! Dinner [dinner]

Duke’s pics aren’t showing up on some of the pages for me, either. They showed up on this page (1237) okay, though... Go figure! [%] Thanks for the pics on Jack, though, Duke.

RT, good to see you back in the Shop. But take care of yourself - we don't want to be missing you! On our mystery visitor, I’d also mentioned to Bergie, so I’m sure he was the one who took care of things. I’d been inclined to think along the same lines as you mentioned about that guy (though we may never know for sure). Guess I missed some of the fireworks here before Bergie stepped in.

PC - are you sure you didn’t date dirt earlier in your life? (tee hee...Evil [}:)]Wink [;)])? But I would agree with you - since we’re only here for a few years, makes more sense to enjoy things now (until we go home). And Sign - Ditto [#ditto] Jerry’s quote - an excellent one!

Jeff, good advice there - I’ve found that I’m watching my sugar/sweets intake the past several years (though I’ve not had signs of diabetes - contrary to my ex-wife’s predictions... Wink [;)] ) That was weird with the coupler picture - does it do that often?

Mike, that bird/bat droppings thing is bad news. South of here, they occasionally get large flocks of starlings coming around to roost in all the trees in the winter, and they have to fire off cannons, spray ‘em with water if it’s close to freezing, etc. to move 'em along). I think the disease’s called histoplasmosis (or close to that), and it’s nasty stuff. Will be praying for Becky (and her immune system to kick that bug’s ****). Good thing you survived the ‘parachuting’ incident when you were younger. Shock [:O]

 steveblackledge wrote:

can't do anything outside as it's raining,,, so what can i do,,, MRing i think
Excellent idea, Steve! Smile [:)]

Colby - THANK YOU! for that public service announcement - we just need to warn others who are unaware of treatment methods for this (wonderful) disease. I think I need to pass that announcement along to some of my friends locally. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Lisa, sorry to hear about your MIL’s passing, but glad it was peaceful and that she’s on the other (better) side now. Hope Tom gets the info from his Dr. and a treatment that’ll help things out. Angel [angel] Angel [angel] for him and all the medical staff treating your hubby. Sign - Ditto [#ditto] and Amen to JP’s comment.

Went by Hobby Lobby and the (in-town) LHS this afternoon and picked up a few things - some brushes for MRR painting, plus the ‘HO Trackside Structures You Can Build’ book and a Woodland Scenics wood culvert (an N scale, for a small creek underpass). Have been going back and re-checking the fit of my track. I really need to drill the holes under where the switches will go (for the throw rods and/or motors) before I can get much further along on the track right now. Just dreading having to take up all the track so I can drill...

Yippee - the Cards made it to the Series (in spite of themselves?), and they’re doing all right so far tonight against Detroit. Smile [:)] No offense to anyone rooting for other teams, of course. (Tigers in three, indeed! Harrumppph!) YAYY - Duncan and Pujols are both doing great, and the Cards are leading! Yeah!! [yeah]Big Smile [:D]

Prayers for those in need of them, and for healing as well. I'm heading back to watch the ball game. Smile [:)]

Blessings,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

Howdy hey everyone...I can't find where I last posted...Oh well. How's everyone doing?

So, I quit my job at Sears because I was staying up too long on too many nights doing homework. A job I don't particularly care for isn't worth losing that much sleep over; especially when I have school that could possibly be affected by that. But I need to find some way to make a bit more money...I'm going to try to make a few more of my license plate frames to sell at Purkeys and maybe on eBay. I also may look for a publisher to publish some of the poems I have written over the years. And I'm also looking for better second job to hold...

But on the good news side; I went to the York, PA TCA meet yesterday and had a blast. Got an A/B of PRR Sharknoses for my N scale collection; and even got a picture of me with Mike Wolf of MTH.

I'll talk to y'all later.

Morning all, just some for coffee Janie,
It's rain off an on most all night, darn weather got me hurting so much, couldn't hardly sleep. Suppose to end later and turn off cold.
Was going to work on the layout some last evening, but just couldn't get into it. Plan on some today during the football games, if nothing else happens.
We think moms home , haven't talk to her yet. We set over there most the day waitng on the doc to come in, till we had to leave for other things. Mom was doing good  then, complaining bout the food and nothing to do.
Beck seemed some better, she was breathing on her own more. Their suppose to start waking her hope more Mon. or Tue.

PC,,,,, I sure hope thing quiet down here soon, so we can get off the list, this last week or so has been kinda rough here. Liked the words to the song you posted.

Jerry ,,, I was one of those who would stand in the lobby and watch the radar sometimes, when Mother would shop in Casey. Hope Sally's feelin some better.

Colby,,, liked all the funnies you've posted, thanks.

Duke ,,, thanks again for all the pics.

Rt,,, sorry to hear bout your freind. We've been through losing freinds like that also, makes it tough sometimes, hang in there.

Jeff,,, I had a pin come out that had the truck on, but it never stayed coupled. Had a 9 car derailment.

JIM CG,,,, you got it right, with the HISTOPLSAMOSI is what Beck. The kids didn't know how to say it right and I didn't have any idea how to spell it.

Scott,,, glad you quite Sears, thought maybe you were spreadin yourself thin. Why don't ya just layback awhile and stick with school and being a kid. Glad you had some fun at the show.

OK on the BARN JUMP,,, I wasn't a big dummy back, just dum. We had a big pile of loose hay there below me to land in. Did learn a pile of hay 6 ft. deep was not enough. No broken bones, Just a dis-located knee and wrist. I thought dad would tan my hide when he found out, but he thought I'd learned my lesson well that day.
Guess not 10 years later I learned how to jump from airplanes. Now thats fun.

Nothing planned for the day with this weather. Mothers got a jewerly show this afternoon, bout it. Bout time for chores, hope ya'll  has a good one

I once met a man who told me he goes to church 6 times a week. When I asked him why he went so many times a week, he said it was to re-affirm his faith. I told him in no uncertain terms that if he needs to re-affirm his faith that many times in one week, he better do some serious soul searching, because something's wrong.

Maybe he was taking the "renewing" refered to here, that extra mile?
