Not a good day for picture taking at altitude. Unstable airmass and humid. I'll try again in the fall.

Could be my pictures on this page.
Sometimes the page loads in a flash, and then other times it stalls and takes about a minute to load. Inconsistent at this time it seems bugs need working out still...

Yea, PC, it took me awhile to figure it out too! I ended up clicking on the subscriber button and then added my personal info then it found my old forum profile ID, then I added the password and it took. Finally!

As promised, some pictures. I had a long latover in Grand Forks, ND or as we call it - El Forko Grande. So to kill time I gave railfanning a try. Let me know what you think.
First, some pictures from my office window.
As I was walking to the yard, this passed in front of me.
Finally, made it to the yard...
Edited to remove pictures after many complaints. If this is still too much I will delete the post.
Hi All...
Just trying out forum, we are having a hard time at home both down. Like the new look, I miss the fast way at the bottom of page but will learn.
Chuck and Kathy . Prayers and best wishes to all.
Well hello all.
Just made it back in town and got myself logged back in. I see it is going to take a little getting use to the new format but I think it will work out. I am really surprised that they managed to save to old data. Trust me, that was not an option a few years ago.
Hope all of you are doing well. When I get a chance I will post some new pics that I think some of you are really going to enjoy.
Later.
Glad to see that I haven’t been run out of the shop yet at least, so people must still like me somewhat
Greyfox, I only made off with a few things this year from the show, there weren’t as many “good deal” dealers there this year as in past years. There weren’t as many layouts either, there was actually a lot of dead space that they could have filled up if they had tried. Having been to three National Train Shows before I was kind of disappointed in how this one was done. I still am glad I went, but it just wasn’t as good as past years. I did pick up a magazine I had been looking for on the Wisconsin and Southern, a Refrigerated boxcar, and a car for Davies Steel from the NMRA (Dean Fraytag’s layout). I would have picked up a V&O car and a Alleghany Midland car, but they were sold out in HO already. Oh well.
I kinda like the new format, although I miss the “quick reply box” at the bottom of each page. It always saved me loading an extra page, which can be important on my slow dial up. We may have to start a petition to get that feature back.....
Well guys, I’ve got some other stuff to get to today, but I’ll get back to the shop a little later. For now I’ll just take a cappuccino to go.
Noah
Hi! all
Well Gloria is resting so I'm taking a quick break from my chores...
Fist a big welcome to all the new comers, I've missed so many of you and apololize. This is a fun place and I hope you'll drop in often.
OK, so it is good morning to all. The good news is that I can drop in from time to time while Gloria recovers, a long and fustrating road ahead, the bad news is the Gloetown has to take a back seat for now.
Break over, Hope you'll all have a great day.
Happy MRRing.

Good to see everyone back! Just stopped in to try out the new forum.
Check out tstage`s web site it looks great Tom !!
Have a good day all!!!
Well all -
Since JimCG told me how to reply, I figured I might as well do so and let everyone know I am alive, safe and sound. I had my 35th b'day yesterday. Nothing fancy other than 5 phonecalls for wishes from the wife, the boss, the parents, the step-son, and finally from my bro and his soon-to-be bride.
I'm pulling 'duty' tonight for the fire dept. till 6am, that is why I am on this late. We got a gully washer today, courtesy of Mother Nature. Some surrounding suburbs are reporting up to 7" today from 5am to 8pm.with most of it falling between noon and 6pm. Had to go on a 'dryer' fire to a neighboring district. We were 1 block from the scene when they 'canceled' us. So, we headed back to the firehouse and hung out till 11 when we are able to go home for the rest of the duty shift.
Well, not much new on the MRR front, other than this redesigned site. It will take me a few days to get used to it.
On the homefront, I got High Speed Internet today. Man what a difference compared to dial up service.
Ok, time for me to get going.
Take care!JP

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017
Well hello everyone. It has been a real long time. Zoe, I'll have a tall glass of ice water. It's hot and dry here in east central Alabama. I see I am not the only one that re-appeared when the new site debuted. I have missed talking with all of you, but I have been busy with other tasks that I will not bore any of you with at the moment. I'll get everyone up to date when we all have a little more time.
The new site looks great. I have not looked at all the new stuff, but I like what I've seen so far.

I hope you get that job in Va. I hate to see a fellow MRR leave the great state of Alabama, but I guess it will be Virginia's gain.
It's getting late, I better go check on Gman before he goes to sleep. I'll try not to be such a stranger anymore.

Hi, guys, thought I'd drop in and make sure I could find my way around after the remodeling.
The basement cleanup is going slower than expected but it is going. At least I managed to use it as an excuse to get some new tools. Picked up a ten cubic foot trailer for my lawn tractor to haul garbage out of the basement, and a reciprocating saw to make the job easier. I've wanted both for some time but wasn't sure I could justify the expense.
Looks like the face lift has encouraged a few folks who haven't visited for a while to stop in and look around. Good to see you again KJ, Noah, and anyone I may have missed.
Okay, enough for now, let's see if this posts without any problems.
Hi Guys,
Hi Zoe. I like the tan. I'll have a ginger ale if you don't mind.
Glad to see you're all here. I'm glad to see I got logged in correctly. I'm still alive and kicking, though in Norfolk VA rather than Huntsville AL. I'm interviewing for a new job tomorrow, with Old Dominion University.
Miae and Jamie are doing fine and hoping to move to Norfolk. Railroading has taken a back seat during the summer but if I get this job I'll have to spend a good bit of time here so I think I'll start a modular railroad.
It's good to see all you fellas again. I'll try to be more regular now that things might be settling down.
