Evening everyone. Speaking of bugs, seems there's one or two in the new forum software. When I just logged in I typed my email addy and password as required, hit the login button and was promptly sent to the home page of a snowmobiling magazine. I hit the back button on my browser and ended up at trains.com customer support already logged in. Go figure.
JP, a little late. BTW, I'm jealous. Not of your age, my 35th year was not a very good one, but your high speed internet service. The local cable company says they will have it available here next month. If I knew the exact date I would be counting the days.
Not much else happening around here. Weather is supposed to be hot and humid most of this coming week. I'm taking a break from cleaning the basement tonight. Tomorrow I'll start up the new saw and start cutting out drywall. That shouldn't take too long. Then I can start putting it back together the way I want it.
Guess that's about it. See you later.
Evening all
Jerry The Berk was part of a fan trip from Bay City to Grayling that Bill N told me about last Oct. I took the stills from my camcorder and it was a learning experience because I hadn’t had the camera long. That shot was taken on the North side of St Helen. I have more pics of it in my Photobucket account, but here is one more for you.
That’s about it and I think the learning curve is going to be a long one for me and before I forget, to the newbies.
Has anyone noticed that you can no longer tell if someone has come into the CS while you are in.
Talk to you later

It's upstair in the storage bin so I can't measure it exactly but it is about 11.5 inches. The point being, wasting a nano-seconds doesn't sound like a big deal until you think in terms of feet. Now waste one second in a day and it adds up. Looks like I'm taking over for Phil.

Noah, I am getting the Digitrax Super Chief Premium 5 amp Wireless and IR system. The LHS is a registered supplier and does great support on the system.
Noah,
Do you know how to get hold of swdave? have not seen him on the forum lately?
happy jack
Hi Noah,
how have you been, sounds like that should be a good time Sunday, but it suppose to be 104 so make sure you drink alot of water.
Jerry, The Layout has actually been kind of neglected lately since I’ve been working on the module for my club. I’ve got my DCC system all hooked up a section of track so that I can test things and such, but its not fluid all the way around, and the scenery is really lacking. I figure after I get some more work done on the module I’ll back to that, probably this winter sometime.
Boy is it going to be a hot one here this weekend. They are talking high 90s plus humidity, and we just aren’t used to that in Wisconsin. So we are all preparing by getting the AC preped for a 48 hour marathon of working.
Good news is that on Sunday I’m going down with a friend to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union Illinois. They are having a special Diesel Days celebration where the bring out a bunch of their diesel locomotives and do photo run bys and give rides. Supposedly the UP/CNW heritage unit is supposed to make an appearance there as well, which would be really nice.

Good Morning all! A tall cup a Joe please Chloe! And how about some country ham with those grits and two sunny side up eggs with some home fried potatoes too. And a tall cup a OJ from Ed’s Reserve.
Well I see the growing pangs of the new forum are still getting worked out, seems the learning curve is still on the up swing.
On the model railroading front I am picking up my first DCC unit tomorrow from the LHS! Taking the plunge into the realm of DCC……

Hey Inch, great joke. And speaking of “bugs” do you all know how and who coined the computer phrase “there is a bug in the system”?
Good Morning Coffee Shop!!!
Coffee and a donut please, Chloe. Thanks.
It looks like we are all gettig use to the new fourm. I think it is great that they save the old posts but it looks like links to posts in other threads in all goofed up. Still better than losing all the old stuff.
Is anyone else having problems with the search function?? I know certain keywords exist but when I use them I get no results or a lock up. Maybe I'm doing some thing wrong.
Got to run. Later.

Signature pictures may not get resized like pictures in a thread do. Try cutting the pixels down on BB-64 and see if it helps. I was just looking at some other signatures and it looks like the new BBS only alots a certain amount of space for the signature. Whether it's words or pictures, one only get a set amount of space for the signature. I maybe wrong but it sure looks like this is the case.

I noticed that too. I had to do some shifting around and still couldn't get all my old stuff in. Guess thats the price of progress.
Mornin all, just some coffee fur now Zoe,
Another hot one, it already feels like it’s in the 80’s and it’s not 6am yet, won’t be doing a lot outside today without plenty of water handy,
Paul, hope the vet can help yur mare sounds like she’s a member of the family.
Timothy , welcome to the CS, don’t remember ya being around afor. One thing please, enlarge your text, that small stuff hard for me to read.

I thought I had succeeded in re-registering and unlocking my ID last night (Wednesday ). I was even able to post replies to a couple topics. But tonight, my password won't work. Several attempts to have a temporary password emailed to me have failed (so far).
So, I created a new ID just so I could get back onto the Forums. I did contact Bergie; but until he can look into the problem and get back to me, I'll have to use this new ID.
I've also figured out how to get my signature to appear. It seems we're limited to 512 characters (including the code to format the text).
If you want to add colour text, just use the following ...
If you want to change the size of the text, use this ...
I haven't figured out how to get the "highlight" function to work yet.

Hi Gang: I had some problems getting back on here. I couldn't get re-resgestered. I got several different problem messages. I didn't have my number from my subscription because that sticker is the first thing that I take of and destroy. Anyway I sent Kalmbach a message asking for help and expected to get an answere tomorrow sometime. Would you believe an answere poped up about 20 min. later and here I am.
JimCG: It's a good thing that you posted the way to do posts. I thought about using the reply button but figured that would only be to the post it was on. As for the other stuff, maybe someday.
We spent the afternoon with the vet. The 32yr old horse was down on Tuesday evening. I thought she was going to die then but she finally got up. She hasen't been eating well and I couldn't figure out any reason. The vet came out and said she needed work on here teeth and that she had some sores in her mouth. The other vet was already sceduled to come out today so he did the work and now we are going to change her diet and hope that she will be OK. She really looked better tonight so I guess we'll have her around for awhile.
Nothing on the MRR stuff. I can't get any time to do anything but work and ranch lately. The weather is still very hot and dry. It was 102 today and will be the same tomorrow. *** load up some of that rain and hail and send it down. Use some of those empty tank cars of Eds.
I'll agree with the others that have bemoaned the loss of the quick reply. I guess we'll get used to it though. I need to also find out how to install my signature. I'll get this posted and try to figure it out. In the mean time I'll do it the hard way
I'm going to head on out and go to bed. Have a good night and I'll see you tomorrow.

Ok,I need to see if I can get a pic to post so here goes
All I did was type my post in Word and then copy from Photobucket, paste in word, and then post to the CS. I hope that it is clear because I don't always make it clear.
Evening all, barley pop Cleo please,
A long hot day and it looks like a bunch more a comin according to the weather guessers. We were thinking bout camping tomorrow night, but I purrty sure Mother will say noway. Nothin much done today, the kids didn’t want to be out to long and KC had the pa pa hold me’s..
I see PC finally made it in, good to see ya again feller.
Gumby, I found it best not to post over 4 pics at a time. I was guessing bout 10 to 12,000 feet on the yard pics, good job on them even through the hazel thanks.
I see RT’s having trouble posting pics, so I’m going to try and do some reading, maybe I can figure something out on all this new stuff. See you in the morn

It probably is, but that's OK. How else are we going to work out the bugs?

Gumby Nice pics and I like the ones of the yard where they show the ladder
Grayfox (wouldn't let me use your name) I didn’t buy anything at the show but I did decided which DCC system and track I will be using.
I haven’t been to one of these shows before but I will agree with Noah that I was disappointed that there weren’t more vendors. I also didn’t get any show specials of a couple things because they were the manufacture and you need to go to your LHS or online and I don’t have a problem with supporting my LHS.
That’s about it
