That's what I figured. It would be cool, though. The PRR scheme is a nice one. Since, the car has a similar color already. Keep us posted.
Got this abit ago and just had to share it
Why parents drink!!!!
A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not phoned in
sick one day Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he
dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper.
"Hello." "Is your daddy home?" he asked.
"Yes," whispered the small voice. May I talk with him?" The child whispered, "No."
Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"
"Yes" "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered,
"No." Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave! a message,
the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?" "Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman"
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss
asked, May I speak with the policeman?"
"No, he's busy", whispered the child.
"Busy doing what?"
"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman," came the whispered answer.
Growing more worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through
the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?"
"A helicopter" answered the whispering voice.
"What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.
Again! , whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed the helicopter."
Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"
Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle:

Hi everyone, hope all is well with you.
409, like, the paint job just do it don't be asking for the green light on who owns what, you will be playing the chase game till your old and grey like I am starting to get Of course we will be arch reviles because I am for the time being modeling NYC. Speaking of which my FA2's arrived and are already in service. The FA2s where one of the first engines P2K did so they are just a basic Athearn engine with better flywheels. Now I am thinking about starting my layout over. I have a L shaped layout space, right now I have a single track main done up has a dog bone, with a huge area for switching. It runs along three walls of my basement, so there are no duck unders.
What I am looking at doing is to keep it a L shape but move it out from the walls and have aleast a 3ft aisle all the way around it and have a double track main with a third track running on the inside like a branchline. Than way I can turn two trains loose on the mains , and still have alot of switching work to do on the third.
I use to be big into operations with all the paper work and all but just got bored with it, now I have turned in to a rounde rounder, love to sit back and just watch a 50 car train run its paces.
Well good night to all its almost bed time, about 6:30 is it for me. I get to be up at 3:00am each morning.
Howdy Folk's
how ya'll doing over there, not been around much of late, i finally got invited to have the surgery on my sinus's tommorow, only been waiting since January, better late than never i suppose. when i come home i have got myself some nice kit's to build, i got a 30" girder bridge kit and a satellite station kit with moving 40" satellite dish on top, that should be a fun kit to build
this is the OO scale layout i just built for my children over the space of a week
Hope everyone is well. This is a short update. Gloria had a MD appointment today and things are looking better. We finally have a light at the end of the tunnel.
I did a little be of work on Gloetown, added a couple of sidings. I hoping to have the track layed by end of month. Then it will be ballast time and scenery.
To all new comers to the shop. I see a few new regulars. Do drop in often and have fun.
Ed - You survived the treck to the rock. Welcome back.
Got an E-mail from Flip, he says hello to all. He's been quite busy these days with little time for dropping ing in because of long days.
Well, must go, hope you all had a great day.

Evening All:
Ryan: Yep, that’s the original Six Flags. Astroworld is closed. They decieded the land was worth more than the operating park. We got some of the rides here this year. It looks like the New Orleans park will not be opened again. I guess there was too much damage and the park didn’t do that well. Several of the folks that worked there have transferred to our park.
We got up to go out to son John’s place to get some hay. The plan was to take his truck pulling my trailer and Mary Ann and I to drive our truck and haul a couple of bails in it. First we had to stop and put gas in John’s truck. Of course we bought. We drove out to Mineral Wells and stopped at the What-a-burger for breakfast. I spilled my coffee in my lap. Day is beginning to go south. Got out to son’s place and tractor had a flat. The power had been cut to the house because the rear wall had fallen in and electric company cut power for safety reasons. Good call, but they forgot to call and let us know. No way to air up tire no way to load hay. Went to town to talk to electric co and find out when power was cut. Power was cut 4 months ago and we’ve been still getting bills for service. Got tire fixed. Now too late to go load hay. John and I had to pick up a friend of mine who has had knee surgery and go to not so LHS. Got there and shop was closed until Monday. Back to Ft. Worth and new to me more local hobby shop. Nice shop. Small but very well stocked. Got some mini metal trucks on sale and Bobby Halls book. John was offered a LGB 2-6-0 new in box retail $699 for $220. Will pick it up Sat. Also this place is open on Sunday! I guess things worked out OK in the long run.
I’m going to bed now. You All have a good night.

James: I'm really sorry this has happened, I've bought a few things off ebay and 95% were fine but a few were a bit disapointing. I have seen other negative feed back and it just ends up a mess on both sides. I suppose the best feedback to give is, that you sold it as a used camera and you didn't give any warranty and the buyer tested it worked on the day of the purchase. You can't see into the furture and you didn't give a warranty. It's like buying a car second hand privately if it breaks its your problem, you took the gamble at paying a lower price than a dealer. You sold it in good faith that it was working properly.
The things I bought that were average I just left neutral feedback and just said something like "arrived quickly", people can read between the lines at the comments and the neutral responses.
PS: I also learned to ask more questions from this experience!
steveblackledge: Love the work you did in such a short time! How did you manage the backdrop and scenery in such a short time?
For me, This weekend I'm going to run my new Tower 55 ES44DC and try and put up the backdrop for the first wall after I finish the painting of the skyline.
Hope all are well!
Regards,
Nigel
Good evening folks, well it's been raining steadily here now for about 5 hours ( rats I'll have to cut the grass again ) this has cooled us off a tad down to 75 degrees but the humidity is still hovering somewhere between 70 - 72 %. Sposed to be nice the rest of this week however and into next.
James - Too bad about that feedback, sounds like the buyer is a class A jerk. leaving him bad feedback in return and reporting his abusive email will likely be your best coarse of action. I've only ever been a buyer and so far so good ( he knocks on his head for luck )I've managed to saty 100% positive. I suppose that for all it's good things ebay can be a bit trying.
Steve - Hey good to see you again sir. I'm glad to hear that you have finally got your surgury date,I'll wish you well on that one. Nice little layout that you've put together there for your kids .Is it a generic type layout or have you done a Harry Potter theme or something with it for them.
Luc -Hi , I'm glad to hear that things are looking up for Gloria. Please let her know that we are still thinking about her and yourself as well.
Inch - LOL loved that joke, that sounds like something my sister would have done when she was a little kid.
Well talk to everyone tomorrow
Rob

Well, lots going on today. Busy, busy busy!
Oh, and they delivered the wood for the second story of the house last evening! That means, for those of you following along, that the train room gets framed in today! You know I've already got my camera with me so I can head out there this evening after work.
Well, time to start acting like I work somewhere. Got lots to do today. Later all!

Made two different smoothies last night, the first one was a blueberry, strawberry, and banana. The second one was a peanut butter and banana. Experimentation has no sign of stopping, might make something else new tonight….
Actually got an hour in on the train room last night, I glued down some more cork roadbed and re-set a riser on the joist due to some cracking for the quarter-turn rise on the double track mainline 2% grade.
Heard this morning on the radio that starting this morning and running until midnight Sunday there is a sales tax holiday in North Carolina. Sears also is having an appliance sale; if you buy one appliance priced over $399 you get 10% off, if you buy two appliances you get 15% off, and if you buy three you get 20% off. And if you use your Sears CC you get 12 months interest free. The tri-fecta combination of no state tax, sale $$ and interest free for a year might just push us to go get a new dishwasher and dryer, both are on the fritz and need replacing soon.
Trolley Rob, I was a professional chef and food and beverage director for 18 years and reached the burn out phase way before I left the restaurant industry. It is a hard life working all the weekends, nights, and holidays, and every week your schedule is different. It was very hard to make any family plans and I was always missing family and friend get togethers and such. Working the 12 and 14 hour days, six days a week at times took its tool too. When I did get home I was so tired and felt like a zombie I never really enjoyed my time off much either. But I do have many great stories and experiences over the years from the restaurant days. For example, I meet and cooked at many fund raiser events in New Orleans and included many famous people such as Paul Simon, Edie Brickell, Stephen Stills, The Neville Brothers, Rob Schneider, Katey Segal, John Goodman, Congressman Bob Livingston and Senator John Breaux.I worked with and have met some famous chefs over the years too, such as Julia Child, Austrian Chef Kurt Wolf, Emeril Lagasse, Cajun Chef Paul Prudhomme, and French Chef Daniel Bonnot.
Dick, sorry to hear about the TS that passed through and all the uprooted trees. I have been there and done that before and we still have fears about it happening again. Having lived through Katrina last year, we still get the jitters anytime a gust of wind starts blowing around the house.
Lisa P, as a matter of fact there was some left over shrimp curry. You are welcome to any of my virtual culinary morsels, and if you want recipes, I have over 300 cookbooks on two book shelves and many notebooks and binders collected over the years of working in restaurants.
Scott, that should work well with connecting the FRED to the brake lights, I have seen many hitch lights that connect that way. Have you seen the one of a bass fish with lighted eyes that blinks when the breaks are applied and the head wiggles too?
Inch, that is the double-edged-sword about rain, the garden loves it and the yard looks great too, but then you can sit and watch the grass grow by the minute too. An inch of rain in an hour or two is a down pour. And going out on a school night sort of compressed the time we had together, but they are going out of town this weekend so….Nice story/joke too, thanks!
Steve, great to have you back! to the new Coffee Shop!
Luct, great news about Gloria! Hopes and wishes for her continued improvement! And say hello to Flip from us too, tell him he needs to take a break and rest a bit!
Paul, that was my next question and you answered it for me already! We went to the Six Flags New Orleans and every year my parents or Monique’s mom would buy us all the season passes. We would go about 5-6 times a year; they had some good concerts there too. After Katrina the whole park was flooded for weeks, I am sure it would have been a nightmare to renovate and re-open it, most of that area of the city is still without electrical power. And with only ½ the residents back it makes sense that it would remain closed.Sorry that you had such a series of unfortunate events yesterday! Some times it would be better just to stay at home, but sounds like you got the ball rolling on getting the electricity restored.
James, sorry about the EBay feedback on the camera sale. When I have sold items on EBay I try to add to the description that it is sold “As Is” and there are no warranties offered for used equipment, especially electronic stuff.
PC, exciting days ahead for you there! And as the roving reporter with camera in hand, be sure to take many shots of the train room. Now that will make for an interesting train layout website… “…now over here is the future train room, you can’t see it because it isn’t up yet!”
Cheers and you all have a great weekend!

Good morning to all,
At last a cooler day, taking the boys to the zoo(if rain stops). Going to try and finish up mountain pass tomorow, kids bugging to drive train(only thing they like to do, Ah well! All the more fun for me).I need to get moving on this lay- out, schools starting again soon and then my work really begins again(I home school)
Inch, Great joke read it to my parents and sister last night, they could stop laughing(partly at me, I have one that would do something like that).
James, report him to E-Bay, burden of proof falls on buyer in disputes.
Paul, sounds like a typical kind of day for me-one prob. after another.(My boys "never" have anything to do with this of course, not my angels.
Talk later
Good morning all. I'm actually having a cup of coffee as I sit here. Didn't feel like doing anything yesterday so didn't. Maybe today will be the same. Liked the joke.
Any one know why a CDROM drive door won't stay shut? I tore it out and blew the s....and out of it with the compressor and reinstalled the hardware and driver software. No change. Ebay here I come again. It is an older one, not this computer, but it has a flight simulator and Lotus 123 on it that won't upload to the new operating system.
Just bought a Boston an Maine Lionel and a new F3 shell to repair a broken one from off Ebay. Maybe at Christmas I'll put the big trains around the Christmas tree. As to bad choices from Ebay I figure you take what you get when it is second hand. I bought a lionel passenger car that had freight trucks on it which made the couplers about an inch short of coupling. So I bought another one and used the forst one for parts and put the freight trucks on a box car that had broken couplers. It all works out. Don't put up with the jerk on the camera.
Rained all day yesterday again which is not too good here in the desert. It turns all the low places into rivers. We've gone from 3" short on rain the first of July to 1" over normal by the end of the month. If you see Tucson in the paper the rain at the airport is about 5" short of the rest of the city. Now you Texans are shipping us some more rain. We sent ours to the NE. Sorry.
The coffee is about gone so I guess I better be too. Have a great weekend every one. TARP
PC, to answer your question, I usually check out a few more specialized forums when I'm not in the TRAINS or MR forums. One from a friend of mine's website, NTRES, and a forum on Wisconsin Railroads. I also occasionally stop by the www.railpictures.net forums. Really though this my main hang out.
Noah
Evening Gang: I'll make this a quick one tonight. We got some hay hauled. It makes for along ride when the truck doesen't have AC. No MRRing today.
Well I'm going to head for bed. Good Night All.
Good evening folks. Slow one here at the ole coffee shop today, the girls are hald asleep behind the counters. ( Probably because Flip hasn't been in to bug them )
Ryan - I know what you mean about the hours you've worked. I'm a retail store manager and I never get two weeks the same either. I've been at it for 17 yeasr and I'm just about getting to that point as well
