That's really good news, because the local rumour is another one of these on Wednesday! Good morning all. It is getting cooler and cooler out here. Last week in the beginning, 85-88. Tail end of week and this weekend, 75. This week is suppossed to be in the 60s, with more rain, fortunately not 7 ". That means when it goes through us and heads to the mid west, more snow for you. Sorry guys, we tried to send some sun your way, just got stuck in the rockies.

Good afternoon gents, a beautiful day here in central Mass., 18F balmy degrees, not much wind, partly cloudy skies, snow everywhere......but the kids all had school today, no "girlie men" here,as they say in California (Arnold, right?) The Boston schools are closed though, for two days. We only received 24 inches of snow, Boston received 26, so they need two days off, they're not as prepared to deal with the heavy snow as us country folk up in them thar hills of central Mass in indian country.

John, don't worry about Wednesday's Clipper, no repeat of Sunday's big storm, not enough energy and support for this one. Only 1 or 2 inches, a nothing storm. We do have something on the horizon next Sunday off the Carolinas that might get interesting, stay tuned on this one.......Fergie might be out to sea when this one blows up the coast though.

Tim, you give us hopes of the future with 70's and 80's, it is always nice to know that it is coming soon, by the end of February, we will be ready to say goodbye to Winter here. More rain coming to California this week Tim, so hopefully no more landslides.

Bob, Pats don't need any SB'rs, remember the field down in Foxboro a couple of years ago? The Pats are an OUTSIDE FB team, they THRIVE in the snow, DON'T CLEAR THE FIELDS !!!!!! However, the Eagles are a northern outside team also, a little further south than us, a little warmer, but we should prevail!!!

John, how did your SB handle the drifts? I haven't heard any snow totals from NS yet, how much did you guys get ?? I mounted my drift busters on the front of my SB and was glad that I did. I had to bust through 6 foot drifts to get to the wolf, and that was weird leaving a tunnel effect with either side of the cleared path over 5 to 6 feet tall of overhanging snow!!

While we're on the subject of bridges, I got a curved bridge on an elevation, and I was wondering what style I should make it? It is a 1x8 cut to fit the curve, but I can put some kind of bridge structure around it to make it look better. Any suggestions? I was figuring on concrete abutments, it is wood right now, but I have an idea on how to change that with some styrene sheets. Oh yeah, era doesn't matter, if it looks good I'll use it is my theory.

So if you were one of us who were trying to score the big one, the idea was to have the index open in one browser window that you continually refreshed to get the latest count. Plus you’d see that a new post by anyone would then show as 4997 or 5002 and you could count forward or back from there to determine #5000. At least that's how I did it.

Actually, now that I'm actually explaining it in print, it occurs to me that Teffy had the 5000th "reply", but I had the post just before him. That post, while being "reply" #4999, was actually the 5000th post (the first post in any thread shows as 0, since the system is counting replies).

It's kind of one of those "Milennium" things, as to whether the big celebration should have been 31 Dec 1999 or 31 Dec 2000 as the start of the new "Milennium" since they didn't start counting the first year as year 0.

Good Afternoon Coffee Clubbers,

Well now that the excitement over Teffy grabbing the big 5000 has died down, we can get back to business as usual here, whatever that is. I’m even trying to catch up a bit on back posts. I’ll try and get in a few comments now before my, yawn, nap.

Overcast, cool, and a slight drizzle down here today. No shorts, no golf, no harvesting oranges, …….. poor Ed. (Okay, let’s hear that chorus, all together now……)

I’m glad that it seems that all of you guys made it through the storm with nothing more than a lot of snow to shovel.

The FCVN did get another shipment out last night, boxcar full of good coffee from Coatepec here in Veracruz, a reefer full of oranges, and another tank car with fresh squeezed orange juice. How much of that stuff actually makes it as far as Fergie/John/Luc depends on how much gets siphoned off by the coffee shop patrons (and Zoe) down south.

Evening all.

Work was closed today by order no less. This is the first time in 7 years that the center closed, we even remained open during huricane Juan.

So I finished the funeral home. Got an account with Railimage.com all I have to do is work some more with the toy camera and see if I can get some pics. I tried to get the track plan uploaded but I needed to change the format and when attempting to do that I erased the file. So back to the drawing board.....

I'm off tommorrow, The CFO has an MD appointment in the am and I have a specialist one in the pm both require that I get across the bridge to Halifax.
