Berry, I think so. I would ask the twenty five, plus shipping. I can get the boxes for free from the post office, a little buble wrap and tape isn't that much.

Have you clicked on completed listings in ebay... I just did.. Completed sales of Mantua 2-8-2's and 4-6-2's range from about $20 to $45. You should read each one to compare with what you have. While in HO/Mantua category search on 2-8-2. The click on completed listings. Do the same for 4-6-2's.
Everyone.... I did some non-model-railroad stuff today. I worked on the old Porsche and got it runnin, and I drove it a little. Some of you may recall the Porsche story of a few months ago. It still needs more work.

Good Evening Diners!
Well I do have a cure for all of you who have been having trouble with too much rain, tornadoes, flooding, mud, etc. I'll just leave the gate open so you can get some of our lovely cold air and no more weather problems!! It will be sunny, bright, crisp and indeed it will be, wait for it, A DRY COLD!! Right now it is -8F going down to -17F and a wind chill of -40 for tonight and all of tomorrow. A bonus is that you don't have to feel quilty about just staying in and working on your layout. What say you?? Shall I leave the gate open??
I think I'll have a bucket of whatever is hot Chloe or how about some mulled wine?
Been a week or so since I've been in so I have to congratulate Ray on the latest addition to the family. Great names by the way. Your son is to be congratulated on that score, none of those trendy names like Trinity, etc.
I finally got my little forest done and proudly showed it to my wife who said, Nice but it looks like it was planted. She's right, not enough small trees so I'll be ordering more trees. I have 30 conifers in that little corner and by the time I'm done I'll probably be up to 50. I can't imagine what people do with large layouts. I'm tired of doing scenery so I think I'll put together a car kit. I did order an N Scale RDC today as a store in Hamilton has them on sale and I even managed to get one in CNR livery.
Jeff, great job on your MOW car. I really enjoy seeing all your projects. What's next?
Jim, I finally bought a new card for my camera and will take some photos of the layout to send to you,. hopefully on the week-end as the light is better in the day time for photos.
Not much else is new here. Pippa is staring at me or maybe it's glaring as it's bedtime and she likes to use me as a heating pad.

Thanks Garry,
I was watching the bay Jan and Feb and they were going for $45, I did a search tonight and noticed they dropped to the range you mentioned. I think maybe I should profile each one and go from there.

Thanks Pal... we've got it. The wind is howling out of the NW right now, rattling my antique windows.
Borrowing a trick from Jeff, here's what we're in for over the next few days in Clarence:
Overnight: Scattered flurries before 1am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as -5. Windy, with a west wind around 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as -15. Breezy, with a west wind between 20 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 5. Wind chill values as low as -5. North wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 27. Wind chill values as low as -5. **AMTRAK community informational meeting in Iowa City***Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. **LOTS of writing to do**Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37. **Weekly staff meeting with THAT editor**Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 22.
You can just go right ahead and close that gate again...
Oh oh. Mr. Rerun has woken, and found me. He says he has urgent business, that must be conducted outside. In many ways, he and his intestinal system are far more reliable than the Postal Service, especially when it comes to rain, sleet, snow, high winds, bitter cold...
Any ideas on how to convince a dog to use a toilet?
Good night all...

Just to be a bit more generous factor in a 15% markup from the average over a week--the prices do tend to bounce around I've noticed----
Well I see the crew has thinned out. They must be a bunch of sleepy heads tonight.. I see Phil ,Jeff, Lee, Charlie and Rob are still up so I'll sit with them for a while and have a Hot chocolate and a cinnamon danish to help my Technicolor dreams tonight.
I see that we now know the reason that Walthers kicked the Model railroad Club out of their warehouse.
You guys and Gals don't know yet ?? Well take a look at this notice.

Prayers and blessings to all in need.
Hope all of you in the East don't get flooded now.
Still very cold here for another two days then they say it will get up around freezing. Tonight it is -32c. Boy has this been one heck of a cold winter. It dropped down to minus double didgets about three weeks prior to Christmas and other than for three days at the end of January it has stayed that low. Lots of times with the wind chill in the minus 40s. DARN SICK OF IT. The only good thing you can say about it is "there are no flys or mosquitoes.
Will check in tomorrow. Night all.

Well, Windows Update did it to me this morn--dropped me off into the ether again--so I'm going to attempt the attempt that I was attempting to attempt--or summat--
We are rather windy today as we are currently getting winds from 60-90kmh and higher gusts at times. Our temperature has dropped from a high of 11C at 6am down to 4C just a few minutes ago to this afternoon -3C then to a low of -11C tonight. So far the only thing flapping around are the garbage cans---
I've got a lonely petunia client visit to do in town and then I've got to find a couple of things at our farmers market. Today is going to be the day I sit with myself and do some redesigning of atrium---heeheehee
Chloe--I'll have a coffee and an egg on a muffin please--I'm going to the back and try to figure this dang atrium out---
I guess I will take some pancakes and milk. I haven't had pancakes in awhile. MMMM.....
Well its rainy right now. I was going to try to do some train hunting, but maybe not till tomorrow.
I glad everybody liked the old house. I will finish up the old coal tower and post it at WPF.
Not to much planned today. I have to go to the post office, and mail a car to Canada. Hope its not to much. Other than that, maybe some layout time.
Well everybody have a good morning.

I think I’ll restore each locomotive then tow them out to the bay for reassignment.Lee
Good morning. It's 67 and cloudy. The high will be around 65 and there's a chance of thunderstorms. There's some good news today. Yesterday I got my left shoe back from doc's office. It feels a lot better on my foot than that old walking brace I was having to wear and is a lot less trouble to put on too. I worked on the MoW car project into the late hours last night and it's finally finished. In other news, I fitted my Chattahoochee hopper with all-metal sprung trucks. A 40' PFE reefer is almost ready. It lacks two roof hatches which I understand from an email I just read are on their way. Later today I'll be fitting a new smoke stack to my newly rebuilt Athearn caboose. I have also rebuilt a 1960's vintage Athearn F unit dummy loco and fitted it with metal wheels and Kadee couplers and it is now coupled to my GD30J. Refresh my memory. It's a little foggy this morning.
Good Morning..I'll have coffee and a big slice of PC's coffee cake please...Thank You...
It sunny and cold this morning..had some rain last nite and temps dropped from 70 to 26 this morning..
Planning to do some more track work on fiddle yard today..I had trouble yesterday getting the lid off my flux..The can is probaly 10 years old but it is still half full..
Jeff MOW car is looking good..Do you have a MOW train? How about some photos?
You all have a good one..Jerry
Mornin' all, Coffee and a couple of biscuits with jam please. Well it looks like we have some good news floating around from shoes that are back to wives that feel better. We really dodged the old bullet yesterday. Not even a rumble of thunder. A bit of rain was all we got. I see Inch was in this morning so I assume he fared OK. Hopefully Jerry and Jim did alright and it looked like it made a swipe at Garry. Last time I heard (last night) it sounded like PC was gittin' hit pretty hard and was moving off NE.I also see BC and Lee made it in so I guess they did well too.
Jeff- I also like your non-prototypical sticker!!!!!
Lee-I don't know what steam prices are (25$ seems a bit low, I don‘t know), but it sounds to me like your looking at it from the right point of view Not wanting to overprice so no one buys, but not giving them away either.
Supposed to have sunny around 40 (F) today so gonna get out and get new Drivers License. Run some errands for mom and stuff. Hope to get some RR time. I stayed home ALL day yesterday on power watch and only looked at the empire of which I'm King. If we lost power and I wasn't home I never would have got to the generator to keep the sump pumps going in time. Luckily since I was prepared, nothing happened. Not complaining. We've still got plenty of time for power outages.
Oh it's taken so long to write this, I see Philip has arrived safe and sound. Thanks for the coffee cake. I'll be greedy and take mine with me. See ya!
Well hope all has a great day.

Yeah, we got some rain and wind, but it's mostly moved off to the SE this morning. I rode my bike to work if that tells ya anything.
Mornin' everybody!
Zoe, I'll have my usual dark roast in a FGLK mug with a nice thick slice of that coffee cake Philip brought in.
Currently 49°F here in the Finger Lakes with a high of 48°F....... That's what it says! Low tonight around 21° and the high only 31°F tomorrow. Winter has returned! Glad all of you have stayed safe during the recent storms.
Got some materials done for the upcoming meet yesterday. The more I get done, the more I think of things that I still have to do. I also started cleaning and putting away stuff in the train rooms. I have a crew coming over Sunday afternoon to do some operating and make a plan for the day of the meet. I want to have the layout running up to snuff by then. Today I have to do all the materials for Deacons tonight, and hopefully continue work for the meet. To complicate everything I should be doing sound for the Spring Musical at School. They haven't contacted me yet (par for the course) so I will throw them an email today to see what is happening.
Ah there's my breakfast, so I'll have a seat by the stove in the back and warm up.
Stay safe and warm!

We'll get there sooner or later!
LSWrrBarry, my original thought was to drop a new motor and seal the tender wheels with metal preservative on each before I sold it so I thought $50 was a good price. The replacement motors run $30. I think I’ll restore each locomotive then tow them out to the bay for reassignment.

That makes much more sense!!--
Late last night I finally finished the new MoW car. I wanted to get photos up earlier this morning but Photobucket was undergoing maintenance so I couldn't upload any. I put the old Olympus D550 to work and got these five shots of the finished car.
A large cup of that Instant Human coffee, please & thanks.
***Lee, thanks for the Info on that old photo.
With potential for rain tomorrow, I duct-taped that load of leftover foam insulation and tucked it under the porch. Still have not come up with a plan for the layout terrain. Not much else to report on....still working on non-mrr'ing stuff.
Healing thoughts to those in need.
Rob
Good afternoon everybody!
A cup of Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Macadamia nut coffee in any old mug please.
Hmmm- a few days away sick and several pages go by. I suppose I wasn't really missed. No one can say we aren't talkative, can they?
I see a few people need a prayer candle so the prayer candle is lit. We really do light a candle for prayers, it isn't just a saying. A ten hour tea lite with a prayer said over it for those in need can cover a lot of prayers.
Cannot wait for spring to get here, but the last few warm days with open windows and doors reminded me that with spring comes *uh oh* allergies. Let's go directly to summer. March ain't over til the fat lady sings {and we wonder why she does}.
This summer we plan a huge yard sale. Need to clean out house and shed and we just have way way way too much stuff. Not really looking to make a killing on it, but to get rid of stuff and more stuff {probably to make room for more stuff lol} and make a few dollars or else I'm gonna just start throwing stuff away. hate to do that with good stuff somone can use. Maybe I can find the "train room" {aka the junk room, the closet} again.
Since I can't really get to the layout anymore, and space is of a crunch, I have seriously thought about boxing everything in those train boxes someone posted on here and packing it away. makes me kinda sick to think about it, but when you don't have room. Taking down the layout will be hard. I have a friend witha huge barn who said I could set up a layout there, but he is a 45 min drive and some gasoline away just to go and play. Then there would be the climate control issues and the heat/cold issues to worry about. Someday we hope to have space to have a HO layout and an N scale again. I have actually considered selling all/most train stuff at the garage sale! For now, we may just have to settle for the anual under-the-tree dinky layout up about 1.5-2 months out of the year.
WEll, I have certainly rambled on enough about a whole lot of nuttin' and have probably bored the ones who actually read this to tears.
Have great afternoon guys!
-G .
Just my thoughts, ideas, opinions and experiences. Others may vary.
HO and N Scale.
After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
Afternoon all. Chloe, I'll take a ginger ale, thanks.
I woke up this morning and felt like I was going to pass out, so I stayed home (but I didn't do anything on the layout). I have a feeling that I'll have to stay home again tomorrow, so maybe I can find something to do.
I love when things get misexplained and they turn out to be better than I originally thought! Apparently, when my mom told me this, she only knew about one of them. So I ended up winning the second one! I made a huge mistake on the first rebuild (DON'T ASK!!!), so I'll start over with the new one. The old one will become a parts unit. I'll chop up the grilles from the old one because the F40PH-2CAT has an extra set on the lengthened hood. The old one runs fine, so maybe I could find a shell to fit on the frame.
Prayers for all in need. Have a good afternoon.
Joe

Hello everybody.....
"oops' appeared again, I see.
Philip said the following pertaing to me post about an old Posche. "Refresh my memory. It's a little foggy this morning." A few months ago, we were selling an RV trailer. A guy asked us if we would trade even for a 25 year old Porsche 928S. We accepted the offer. We excanged each others problems in the process. At least the Porsche is fixable.
Cheers.
Hallooo--I seen our dear friend OOPS!! was back OOPSing right along here.
We got some things done that I've been sitting on for awhile such as our HD list and the taking of 'Spring' to the vet--so not much RRing got done---
Chloe can I get a large Chocolate Fudge Pie and a RBF please---I'll be at the back trying to get some reading done----
Chloe, a piece of carrot cake and a decaf please.
I got OOPS!! at work all afternoon from here and now, I tried to put some pics of my factory beginnings up and Flckr tells me I'm BONKED!
Tomorrow is another day.

I was messing with the motor that came with an old 1960's vintage Athearn GP30 and I got it working. One of the brushes was shorted out. It's a 5 pole open frame motor with burgundy colored windings. Not sure what I'll do with it but you can be sure it will be something creative.
I will make this fast before OPPS, comes again.
Ok here is the old coal tower I have been working on. I added a home made fence, and I also made the track look un-used. Sorry for the bad picture, its kinda blurry. It was a quick shot.
I will be back in the morning. Kinda having computer troubles.
