You all have got to start posting later in the weekend so the rest of us can get in here first without embarassment.
All of the preceding pictures are excellent.
Great stuff all. I just finished up working on my new Atlas GP38-2. It came un-numbered and it didn't quite fit any of the prototype units to a tee so I numbered it 2009 in honor of this new year.

He's lucky I don't use him like sweat shirt material for grass lands! You know, glue him down, then rip!!!
Sorry for the trouble here, thought i knew how to post pics, i was wrong!.
Ok all sorry and i really don't know what i am doing wrong, but at least i got the pics to take! Now in the FEB issue of CTT there were some pictures of their new F3 diesels, and the ATSF was instead of Red Yellow and Silver it was Red Yellow and Black, i thought that looked really cool so, unable to locate any F units that were cheap er i mean inexpensive i found some Mehano FA-2's in N-scale and all i can say is i hope you like them as much as we do, thanks for looking.

Just a comment from me: it never would have dawned on me how effective using BLACK & WHITE would be, when posting pics of older style (steam) models! I think it must be due to how we subconsciously EXPECT to have stuff from the 40's and earlier, be shown that way.
Congrats to whoever it was, back there a dozen posts or so, who did so.

I thought the black and white photos were great too. They looked just like real time photos on location. The B&W really give it some realism. Great Job.
tatooguy67, those are N scale?! Great work!

Couple projects in progress on the Platte Valley & Western Model Railroad Club...
Electrical Upgrade... on a large club layout, this is a huge undertaking. We've been at it since the DNC was in town (Sept 2008) & we're only 2/3rd of the way done.
Before...
After...
Special thanks to Charlie Lee who designed and constructed this and several other subdivision electrical panels on the layout.
We also have several other projects in progress. Take a look at the club's website at www.PVWRR.org for more pictures as well as our operations & open house schedule.

Hi again all,and as i reread my post from late last night it is clear that i should have been in sleepy town instead of trying to type coherantly, my apologies for that, and what i was trying to say was CTT had some pics from the 1948 Lionel catalog with pics of their new F3's and that the ATSF unit was colored red yellow and black instead of the correct red yellow and silver, also i am not sure what the issue was with posting, we finally figured out that the URL's from Photobucket had some extra characters after the JPG on the end, my wonderful wife suggested removing them and shazam! it worked, now on this end they look about normal size compared to others, is that not the case? please let me know, thanks again.
I've picked up a little bug this weekend so haven't done much on the layout, but I did install 3 windows on the n-scale laser kit roadside market this afternoon (2 more and a door to go before moving on to the rest of it).
I was checking track conductivity following some scenicing & ballasting, and took a cell-phone snapshot showing the train climbing slowly up the grade with a 15-car consist. (The scene isn't completed yet). I added the lighting flare in Gimp. Just an experiment with the effect. Thought I'd share.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thanks for the compliments. I'm currently scratchbuilding a CB&Q T2 2-6-6-2.
Here are a couple pics of the AB6 in my avitar. It's built from a Proto 2000 E6B.
John.
OK, got the pics.
LVRC boxcar:
hopper (I have 3, only took a pic of 1)
CSX boxcar (I have 14 (all same number, but will patch them all out)
I got these from a member on another forum. The CSX boxs don't have metal wheels, and all have rapido couplers. otherwise, they're great.
Great pics everyone!!!!
As always - great work posted from many great modelers!
Some of the projects I hope to be able to do a little more work more on this weekend:
- Get started on weathering the GE 44-tonner I have repainted to somewhat resemble (on a dark night, at a fair distance :-) an Omaha Road engine. - Paint the 25-ton RR crane I put together for my small Minneapolis municipal barge terminal industry - Paint and mount the plywood which will form the bottom of a small 26" x 5" stretch of the Mississipi River along the barge terminal
Edit: a picture where the RR crane is more visible:

Stein, thanks for bringing us up to date...I had been wondering what you were doing these days.
I don't see the crane very well above, but it looks like a nice model. You and Wolfgang seem to share a delight in the 44 tonners. I think your barge is smashing. Looks very good.
I hope to see more.

John, I am very impressed with your steamer....scratched? Wow!
