On this mid week Photo Fun, I think there should have one ruel. It must be a NEW PICTURE, not one from WFP. Pictures that are posted here, should not be posted on WFP. We must remember that this site is free to us, but Model Railroader is flipping the bill and pictures take a lot of band withe. It is a great idea and I love to look at the work of others but lets keep it fresh, deal?

Now that I have said that, let me the first to make the ruel!Big Smile It will be the only time, I don't have anything ready right now.

Time to hang some trees up to dry for the next posting from me. I am all so working on some dead tress and wind damaged ones as well.

Not a particularly great pic - I just want to test the new web site vis-a-vis posting photos.  I usually reduce mine BEFORE I put them on photobucket.  Cheers.

A little project I've been working on. I'm about ready to start adding the rusted roof panels, 4'x10' scale sheet by 4'x10' scale sheet.

Dear "Spray Can Rembrandt". The proto-typical Police are pounding on your door as I type. I thought your layout was modern diesel?

He's actually making it look like an abandoned, run down structure. I'll have some pics for ya'll in a few, got my figures today :P

I think the trucks are way too clean.  Weather the trucks and you will have some nice pieces there!

Yeah, you caught me on that one.  Had not got around to that part yet.

I "second" the complement on the gondola weathering - very realistic.

Here's one from last year.  My layout is currently under re-construction, so this scene is now gone:

Nice weathering job on the gondolas'. I've got 3 to weather myself.

Previewing is no problem but unless someone can advise me to the contrary all you can do is "Preview and Post" If you want to Preview and Edit" you have to first "Preview and Post" and then "Edit". I was advised on Thursday that what you need to do is
Preview and Compose" but all that does is hangs my Explorer and sends me down the "reboot" path!!! Which, of course, causes me to lose everything.

Let's see...I have quoted your text, and now I'm going to preview it and then attempt to edit the post to correct the "loose" to 'lose'....

When I clicked "Preview" only your quoted text appeared. When I then clicked "Compose", the message box appeared with my first line of text still intact without locking up my PC.

What browser are you using? I'm using IE7.0.

It appears that under the new format you cannot preview before you post. Previewing was one of my favorite features. Peter smith, Memphis

Hmmm so this takes the place of WPF or does it change weekly like WPF?

This is actually meant to just be a thread that functions like the diner or teen model railroad place. I imagine it'd be smart to start a new thread every 10-20 pages, because of the amount of photos that'll be here. WPF still happens every week, but if you do something during the week, post it here and in WPF.

GREAT WORK EVERYONE!

Love the yards. Crandell-nice little train. Switcher looks like a sweet little honey.

loathar, it is a Walthers Proto 2000 SW8 w/QSI.  The car is a Harriman type, and I think it was Model Power...not sure any more.  I think it is in the 60' range (measures 8.5", plus couplers).

Well here's a favorite picture of mine. My  Davenport Rock Island & Northwestern SW1200 that I personally painted and lettered for the railroad. The DRILINE decal was professionally re-produced in Adobe Photoshop and then printed and applied to the loco.

Well this is one of my most advertised photos I have. Tongue But I might as well post it here. I'll probably do another winter scene one the snow starts falling up here Wisconsin.

Here is another photo that I tried to make look like an old slide that some one took in black and white. Sadly the caboose is out of focus.

Well, since there is an option for favorite locomotives, I'll bite.  This is my current favorite, which is NOT a Yellowstone--but of course it's an Articulated.  It's a PFM Rio Grande L-131 I picked up from Caboose Hobbies consignment in Denver last year.  I think it dates from about 1965 or so (the box says it's a non-existant L-125) so it's an older run.  But it's a sweet runner, and can pull the paint off of the walls.

Dang, these photos sure turn out BIG!  Shock
