R. T. POTEETPreviewing is no problem but unless someone can advise me to the contrary all you can do is "Preview and Post" If you want to Preview and Edit" you have to first "Preview and Post" and then "Edit". I was advised on Thursday that what you need to do is Preview and Compose" but all that does is hangs my Explorer and sends me down the "reboot" path!!! Which, of course, causes me to lose everything.
Let's see...I have quoted your text, and now I'm going to preview it and then attempt to edit the post to correct the "loose" to 'lose'....
When I clicked "Preview" only your quoted text appeared. When I then clicked "Compose", the message box appeared with my first line of text still intact without locking up my PC.
What browser are you using? I'm using IE7.0.

Here's one from last year. My layout is currently under re-construction, so this scene is now gone:

Nice weathering job on the gondolas'. I've got 3 to weather myself.
I "second" the complement on the gondola weathering - very realistic.

Dear "Spray Can Rembrandt". The proto-typical Police are pounding on your door as I type. I thought your layout was modern diesel?

Not a particularly great pic - I just want to test the new web site vis-a-vis posting photos. I usually reduce mine BEFORE I put them on photobucket. Cheers.
Here's a kinda oldie from my files. Still gotta get those track bumpers installed.

On this mid week Photo Fun, I think there should have one ruel. It must be a NEW PICTURE, not one from WFP. Pictures that are posted here, should not be posted on WFP. We must remember that this site is free to us, but Model Railroader is flipping the bill and pictures take a lot of band withe. It is a great idea and I love to look at the work of others but lets keep it fresh, deal?
Now that I have said that, let me the first to make the ruel! It will be the only time, I don't have anything ready right now.
Time to hang some trees up to dry for the next posting from me. I am all so working on some dead tress and wind damaged ones as well.

That is absolutely gorgeous scenery. If ever a layout scene was "perfect", this one is it.
The next time you change scenery I'd be more than happy to take the old one off your hands and move it to my layout
This is one of my favorites.

There seems to be something different between IE7 which you are using and IE8 which I am using! I did the f
ollowing twice: REPLY; QUOTE; PREVIEW; COMPOSE and all I managed to do for my efforts is freeze up m
y Explorer; I had to hit the little "X" in the upper right hand corner of the information box which aborted my text a
sent me back to the sign-in screen.
As I said yesterday--or the day before or whenever--there seems to be some problem with somebody's text ed
itor. There are a couple of other problems one of which is that I have no automatic carriage return until I have
typed a hellaciously long line--I haven't actually counted it buy I know that it is more than one hundred charac
ters long. Editing is almost impossible on a line that long; to freeze the line at a given point I have to chop the lin
up into shorter lengths, do my editing, and then reassemble things.
Oh, well!!!

The above is what my posted response looks like if I do not reassemble my lines via locating my cursor at the beginning of a line and then backspacing to rejoin my text.
Here is what it looks like after reassembling:

There are a couple of things which have cleared up; maybe this text editing problem will be next!

Internet Explorer 8 is still in a Beta phase...it might be you have encountered a bug within IE8 and not the forum software. I'd roll back to IE7 and see if that helps your situation.

I like that idea. I'd also like to mention that this just runs till it hits between page 20 or 30 (mods, feel free to lower that number). Then we create a new one. Like the trackside diner. WPF still happens, and this thread still runs while that happens. Great work everyone, and I know, i don't have any pictures of my figures, sorry, still not done installing them. Who knows when I'll get that done though, lol?

Yah, I know its the same ol' photo that I have shown before but it's the most recent one that I have.
