Here I am at a defunct Colorado Sugar Mill trying to figure out how to get this 1000 HP Corliss generating steam engine out of the plant and back home to CA.

As you can see, the cab of a Maine 2 footer is a bit small for a broth of a lad like myself.

That's Forney 0-4-4 #10 of the WW&F museum in Alna, ME.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

While my mug is on my avatar and you can see me (for better or for worse) in my videos then you know what I look like. Still, here's a recent photo of me and my wife Patty (33 years), taken by my daughter (who is a professional photographer):

Not bad for a couple of 50 somethings ... and for a little fun, here's some video bloopers.

Me a few months ago behind part of my layout.  I look drugged in this pic for some reason.  Oh well.

It has been two years or more since the last such thread, so why not.

Here are the two of us in Bucerias, Mexico, in February.  It was a very welcome respite from the rains and wind on Vancouver Island that time of year.

Well, if that didn't break my camera, it probably wont destroy the forum!!  Taken by my grandson on a trip to the local zoo/park last year.  My avatar is also me - my grandson put me in jail on another daytrip.

I might add that it would also be helpful if our profiles weere updated/filled in.  When responding to a post, it would be helpful to know the age, profession, and location of a poster, so the answer could be more appropriate - i.e. don't suggest a $1000 brass loco to a teen!  (their folks will have a fit!!)

Brad,

Thanks for you service, too!  I see an Iraqi Campaign Medal and a Purple Heart on your rack there...  and what looks like a Combat Infantryman's Badge.  Thank you for the sacrifice.  Glad you made it back in one piece!!!
