Here is one from me caught sneaking cookies before the family arrived for the holidays.
No No No dave
No race card. I am different and it is from me coming from the ghetto and that is why I am not accepted. Where I am from I say things as I see them and as is said on the streets "keep it real" I am just brutally honest about whatever and I speak my mine which people dont like. they like a "yes man' and thats NOT ME sorry. As kids we used to allways "crack jokes" on each other and did it for years and sometimes still do. but people here cant take it when i crack a joke. sorry but I am not going to conform to what peiople want me to.
Al,
I know this thread (or at least these posts) are headed for the mods' trashcan, but...
I don't think your "not fitting in" has anything to do with your background. Quite the contrary. I think, just based on the response these guys give to the occasional woman that shows up, that folks here are more than happy to welcome someone with something other than our typical demographic. In other words, the race card has nothing to do with it.
I think it's just a matter of the games you play. They don't really bother me any (except when they get personal and threatening), but they bother enough people that it's caused this "persona non grata" status for you.
I'd love to see more of your modeling and your techniques. Again, modern UP isn't my thing but you pull it off very well. I think if more folks could see that Al and not the guy taking pot-shots from behind a phony name, you'd fit in just fine.
My two cents.
Modeling the Rio Grande Southern First District circa 1938-1946 in HOn3.
Al (and others)
To put in a selfish plug, check out the modeler's forum and symposium. Its a thread that where people post pics and look to receive constructive criticism, not simply people looking pats on the back about how great everything looks. Check it out.
Alex
Dave,
I seen Al's work on his website and elsewhere and its excellent. I'm all for letting him continue to participate in the forum as long as he adheres to the rules and keeps things in line. So long as he does that there are many here that could learn a thing or two from his modeling. I'd like to see th pics of his work.
You know Dave
The fact that I do not "BLEND" into the rest of you guys I am and have not been accepted by many. I am just me. I say what is on my mind and what I feel. I do not lie or blow smoke up people to make them feel good when its not true. I have different opinions (naturally) than some of you guys but when you are not the "norm" people will and do attack me for it. I can take criticism and people talking back to me but I see how I get in "trouble" for whatever the situation. The reason, When there is 8 to 1 well people accept the 8 as the "right" so when i am the 1 it becomes ok for the other 8 to say whatever they want and not get in trouble for it. yet I do because as said "I started it" Which makes no sense because people are responsible for their own actions so if they break the rules they break the rules it doesnt matter who started it. I am just different and not accepted here for it. Thats it! Some people are very cool and have no issues with me and I have no issues with them either. Its the handful of tight arsses that have the most problems
UP4ME wrote:Thanks JK I was bored today. Anyway dont worry it will be deleted in due time. I am more than positive someone hit report abuse or whatever. It wont last for sure. Its funny that i am the ONLY brotha in this. And I am banned from this forum. I grew up in a totally different lifestyle than everyone here but I am looked at as the bad guy. If I was on a rap or hip hop forum I would fit in and be accepted for being me. Here though, Some of these guys hate me to death. Not that i really care though. I like JK and a few other guys that are laid back and do not mind me being me. Take care! peace
You know, Al...
You do have a very nice layout and website (I've visited). I think you could really teach some folks here a thing or two about modeling.
So far you're playing nice...

Let's not jump to some hasty conclusion. Even it is, he's done nothing wrong by trying to post an pic and participate in this thread.

Naaaa my wife calls that the "Train-bliss" look, she says every Model Railroader looks like that when they are around the things. :D
Here is me a back in '05 at the Baja 1000 with Ivan Stewart. Um, I'm the younger one and he's the one in better shape.

Aggro, are you a personal friend of K.P.? Never met the guy, but he strikes me as a hot head, so didn't care that he lost (although a longer fight would have been preferable).
Robby, at 28, if you aren't already wiping out everyone (outside the UFC), then it would be tough to attain the level needed to succeed in the UFC, which you already know. Gotta say, I'm impressed with how far this sport has come since the early days. No more being a Master of just one style, unless you want to get your a-kicked. Some *** good fighters at the top, no doubt.

A lot of these photos are scary. Since I want to do no harm, I won't post my picture.

I was kinda *** when my man Karo Parisian got robbed during Fight Night Live on Wednesday. That wasn't even a good knee that dropped him, yet the ref felt the need to stop it. Karo wasn't even out! You see how angery he got afterwards? Whoooooo...

Charlie, I could be wrong, but your code doesn't seem to indicate a particular photo, only what may be your account #. Also, you must place [/img] at the end of the URL for the server to recognize its end.
