Hi all: This is my favorite scene.  It combines two of my favorite pastimes, model railroading and trout fishing.

Here is a scene from my Tam Valley RR of the City of San Francisco speeding eastward through the Paliside Canyon.

Another favorite of mine is of these SD45T-2s in the High Sierras.

You can see more pictures of my layout at http://www.tamvalleyrr.com

Haha well spotted. No the pics are the right way round. It's intentional. :) My road so they drive by my rules! So they drive on the "correct" side of the road. Big Smile [:D]

Apologies to anyone who's seen this elsewhere.

A view from my OO scale British layout. I brushed water over things to get a just rained look.

 Figures are HO by Preiser.

Looks to me he is running to catch the train already at the station.

The vehicles appear to be on the "wrong" side of the street, but then it does look like a damp day in Great Britain.

 Very nice, conagher.

Yes  the guy running in my photo had "just one more beer" at the Inn behind him while it rained, and is cutting it a bit fine now.

In order to participate I had to go out and complete my first scene today.  I sort of put the cart before the horse but I like the way it came out and now I'm more motivated than ever.

When I started this layout I was sort of bummed that I only had 6 x 9 to work with but now I'm realizing it doesn't make much difference.  A scene is a scene.

Mods - I blurred the name of the brewery, at least the non PC part. Cool [8D]

Thank you.  I made the Douglas Firs one silly branch at a time.  They were saved from the old layout.  The clumpy trees are Woodland Scenics which do ok when mixed in.  The brewery was built by a good friend.  The engine is a Bachmann 2-8-0 that I lettered and beat up with chalk and the airbrush.

Favorite of the moment (completed and photographed earlier thius month) and it doesn't even have a train in it.  In fact, it is not even a real scene but just a setup on the kitchen table.  But it is a scene that might be viewed from a train...a beach house at "Bay Point", my version of Virginia Point, at the mainland end of the Galveston Causeway.

I printed out a beach sunset scene on a piece of printer paper and backlighted it through the paper so there wouldn't be much light on the model.

Take a break!

This loading ramp is no longer movable. Westport Terminal RR has bought it and placed it at the end of the team track in Diamond Valley.

We have heard about cattle mutilations over many years and now we finally have proof that this is indeed an alien act, the gray guys only like certain parts of the cow for their BBQs,

Here we see a cow being caught by their special "harvesting" ship....

Oh well, everyone loves BBQ this time of year!

Wowee Duncan,

That is one sweet scene, and I HATE snow!

Keep up the outstanding work, geesh you set the bar high for new guys like me but it gives us a goal to reach.

I guess my skinny dippers wouldn't last too long on your layout...Laugh [(-D]

Thanks for the pic!
