Come on now. Is that a photo shopped pic?  Confused [%-)] They all appear to be the same build and color. Got any other pictures of all those beast?  Question [?]

I know you are being sarcastic, but I can prove this is real. First look at the reflections of these beasts in the glass. Then note the difference of each "jeweled" marker light. Look at the center BB's, notice how the light is reflecting back at the lens. Lastly look at the different angel of both the front/rear engine sets, and look at the tender angles.

Lillen, is the (counting from left to right, top row) 10th and last BB the ones that has an assigned number?

Extremly good of you to see. Yes it is, I had go and check it out but that was the way it was. You can also see that some of them have broken bells. They are getting replaced by BLI/PCM.

Thanks for all the nice comments. It's fun to see how many positive remarks that are being made. I posted something similar on a Swedish forum and mostly received a bunch of negative remarks.

On the other hand, on that forum there is a huge discussion going on where one side(the complaining part) holds the idea that giving complements are bad. Fun huh?

I have tested all these babes out and BLI sent the replacement pilot to me so that I can fix it. They really work fast. And man these babes are great runners. I really recommend them!

Now, all I need is for someone to start producing EM-1's so that I can get me a full set of 30.

That, is freaking impressive.  My jaw darn near bounced off the desk.  With sound too? Bow [bow]

That is like a true real world example of a train modeler's dream come true.

A got a story about "money being spent"....

I got a good freind who used too playfully tease me about my trains.   One day, while we out in the garage (where my layout is), he was shocked to hear that one of my engines cost 150 bucks!   "Holy Cow!   Dude, you got a lot of money wrapped up out here...  for trains? I could never spend that much money on trains."   Feeling a little sting, i camly replied, "Well, there is no way in hell I would have spent 30,000 dollars on a boat and use it 3 times a year."

He stopped, took a breath,  and sighed...Never heard  a word out of him again.

Keep us posted on the layout.  You will be able to stage some scenes that would be soo cool to see.   10 of those bad boys waiting in the yard...Post the pics for sure

Best Regards, Big John

I have run three of these at once. But one is enough for most things you could need. I reguraly run one of them with 72 ore cars up my 2% hill and it does so without flinching.

My plan for later when I get to build the "big" layout after I'm done with my studies will have a real Cheyenne yard. Then I will be able to have 15 of them just sitting there looking beautiful.

Lillen--

I can't thank you enough for posting those 24 Big Boys.  It's exactly the argument I needed to go out and try and find 16 more Missabe 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones to keep company with the two I already own.

You're a true INSPIRATION, my friend--what an AMAZING collection!!

Would I be slugged to say I think the Athearn Genisis with the Elephant ears looks cooler than the PCM? (Like You need any more Big Boys)

I for one though would move some down to the secnd shelff, though you lose the drtamtic effect, you don;t lose the big boy.

show off.

I can't wait to see your Challenger Collection.  The Union Pacific had 105 of the 4-6-6-4's.

Think of what would happen if Lillen decided to duplicate the SP AC-4,5,6,7,8,10,11 and 12 Cab-Forward 4-8-8-2 classes--WHEW!!    I think it's about 257 locos, give or take a class or two, LOL!

A good freind of mine runs 2 Challengers on a regular basis at the big meets.   It is a heck of site to see and a real show stopper as he usually has 50-75 cars+ being pulled.  I cant even imagine 3 Big Boys.  That is too cool.  .   Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

So the next picture you owe us is all of them operating on your layout at the same time! Sounds like a MRC power pack test!

By the way, I will be over to help test run them! Have fun.... I guess I know what Santa will be leaving under your tree this year!

Hej Lillen!

Does each locomotive have its individual and distinct number yet?

Do you count Big Boys (instead of sheep) at night to go to sleep?

Why not do your own "prosperity special" and make up an entire train of 25 Big Boys?  (Don't cross any long bridges.)

Model railroading is great!  I"m glad you're having fun!

Now you just need the biggest Bigboy for your collection. USAT 57" 1:29th scale  around 70 + pds.

She runs great.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.

Hi,  no I still haven't fixed the numbers on them. To be honest I promised the wife to not buy a single MR orientated item for the rest of this year. I don't know but for some bizarre reason she seems to think that I spend to much! Shock [:O]

Counting BB instead of sheep, might try that one. I think my power pack would die if I got them started at once.

I just would like to ad one more time what a positive reaction you have given this and how much I apreciate the good natured humour.

Magnus--

Well, it's all YOUR fault, LOL!  Couldn't find any Yellowstones, but came across a great deal from Caboose Hobbies on a Rio Grande L-131 2-8-8-2 to keep my other one company--should have it by Wednesday.  Only 18 more to go!

See what you started?Big Smile [:D]
