I do not lke Green Eggs and Spam
Served on the Katy's diner "Sam."
I would not eat them in the Texas heat,
Nor where ever where a freight shall meet.
I could not eat them in an RPO,
nor when the conductor shouts allabode.
I will not eat them with Peter Cooper,
or fried on an SD's Prime mover.
I shall not eat them in a bright red car,
traveling from the gulf to places far,
away along the katy route,
wearing a B&M minuteman suit,
I will not eat green eggs and spam,
Not even in Katy's diner "Sam."

I like Spam

I like DQ Blizzards

I don't think I'd like a Spam Blizzard!

Not even while watching a train, in the rain, when in Maine, if I only had a brain!  (I know, Dr Seuss and The Wizard of Oz don't go together, just like a Spam Blizzard!)

Well, I guess if I turn the sliced Spam at right angles and slice it again, there will be enough sticks for 143 to have some. Chef [C=:-)]

If I turn it again in the other plain, 1144 can each have a cube. Mischief [:-,]

You don't think I'm gonna open more than one can, do you?

Hey Brandon; 152 was running this weekend at KRM. We also have a new diner but I'm not sure if we plan on serving Spam on board. However I suspect some of the steam TRAIN (whoop there it is) crew may be guilty of cooking Spam in the cab during the weekend runs.

Dale

Aww, man! I wish I could have been there...

I went there on June 19 this past summer, but the 152 didn't pull our train. However, it was conducting an "unofficial test run" to Boston and back. I was a cab rider that day. Boy, Tish and Jim sure know how to keep you entertained! They even let me and my brother (who was also riding in the cab) stay on board after the passengers offloaded and go into the yard and help them switch a little.

I can tell you right now that when the 152 rolls by you at an arm's length away at a fast walkng pace, you never forget it.

As for the spam in the new diner, well, if the people ask for it I guess I could put the CF7 in notch 8 and cook it on the engine's surface, since I plan on coming down there next summer and voulenteering as a diesel engineer every weekend so I can "get my feet wet" in the railroad industry.

You are correct, Mr. B. While I was in Maui, I was amazed by the different varieties of Spam that were available, most of which I've never seen before. This is true of most of the South Pacific, where our troops introduced Spam to the natives and it's been all down hill from there. In Fiji, if you order breakfast with meat, it comes with Spam.

For TTTO purposes, a train is defined as, "A locomotive, or locomotives, with or without cars, carrying markers."

Here in Kentucky we have a L&N 4-6-2 Light Pacific at the Kentucky Railway Museum and it's used to pull tourist trains. Plus, everyone in my family enjoys Spam to some extent, so...

You need to visit the SPAM museum in Austin MN.  You get to watch a short video about Hormel's "Spam" and then wander around a fine museum of all things "Spam", including a quiz/trivia TV show and a vinette of the Monty Python "Spam" skit, including a recording.

THEN... there is the Spam Shop, where you can buy all sorts of things "Spam".  Do you know how many different Spam products there are?  Besides the typical Tee-shirts and can-cozys there Spam golf balls, oven mitts, shot glasses, key chain fobs, toy trucks, and even Wrapping paper to wrap birthday or Christmas gifts in.

Do you know how many different actual "Spam" meat products there are?  Beside the original Spam pork shoulder product, there is a Low Salt version, a Spam Lite, a Spam with cheese, Garlic Spam and Turkey Spam (and maybe a couple of others I didn't happen to find).  If you buy 12 cans you get a free Spam cutter that makes uniform 1/4-inch slices.

It is a travesty of language that the word "Spam" came to mean unwanted internet communications.  The Hormel product is a fine and tasty food.  At least the Hormel company has embraced the unfavorable aspect and are turning it back into a positive advertising campaign... where else can you find a product being advertised for free all over the world by people that have no idea what they are talking about?

Disclaimer:  I have no association with the Hormel company in any way except that I have visited the Spam museum and purchased a couple dozen cans of various Spam varieties.  I certainly enjoy consuming Spam periodically.  Hey, try Spam Italiano Hawaiian... Garlic Spam with Pineapple rings.  I think I will take some to the D.D. & C.S. later.

A train is two or more moving vehicles coupled together.
A train is a locomotive in motion with marker lights or paperwork from the dispatcher designating it as a train.
A train is part of a wedding dress.
