The 12 days months before after Christmas
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on cork roadbed
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on adhesive
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on flex track
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on track switches
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on tortise switch motors
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on wire
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on toggle switches
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on LEDs
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on Hydrocal
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on scratch building supplies
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on Motive Power
I RESOLVE TO... spend more $$ on Rolling Stock

If I keep these resolutions then maybe I will see a train on this heap of wood I constructed last year!! [:D]

1) Get my new layout completed to the point where I can start running trains again.
2) Begin clearing the backlog on unfinished kits.
3) Clean up the layout area so I can show off my layout to others.

Fini***he first structure and build the other two that have been sitting, bagged, for a year now! That, and dung out my home office so I can actually find things when I want them...

IGNORE ... the unbuilt freight car kits on the shelf. I have enough cars!
IGNORE ... the videos and DVDs and books and slides and magazines and timetables and maps and other distractions that are so much easier to get to of an evening than actual layout building.
DECIDE ... whether the layout is going to be DCC or Signal Research DC. Enough is enough!
BUILD ... the essential bridge that represents the current gap in the roadbed. The bridge itself is done. The handrails are done. The stone supports are not.
BUY ... the color coded wire and toggle switches I will need.

I have only one resolution: Finish one project before I begin the next. (The same resolution I have every year ;) )

Have a Good New Year all of you.

Organize more... worry less.
Display more... nitpick less.
Repair more... get angry less.
Enjoy the journey more... fret about the destination less.
Increase my circle of modelling friends.
Purchase higher-end items.
Get the accessories and signals and scenery closer to completion.
