here are some weathering attempts using a very unique type of black spray. Its a hair colorer often found around Halloween (can be up to 75% off after the holiday). It comes in blond, brown, and black. Big Smile [:D]

Way to go Alex. It only takes ONE to get things rolling. I'm a few years past my teens, but I had other interests back then (a buddy took me to my first drag race our senior year in high school). Have you given any thought to a Teen Model Railroader newsletter? People could subscribe and you could have how-to's, post pictures of your layouts, etc., and to keep your costs down, do it ALL via the internet. Set up a webpage and post your articles, letters, etc. AND GOOD LUCK!

Hey Guilford!  Nice to hear from you.  The only reason I got off of the Bachmann board is 'cause there was some kind of nasty thing that got imbeded in my computer from that board, and it was messing things up and taking my internet connection for itself.  I wish I was still on there, but I'm afraid I'll get that bug again.

I'm 16, and I live in and model central Missouri.  I've never completed a layout, but I've started 3 or 4.  I model short line or branch line HO in the steam era.

My roster is:

Locomotives: Bachmann 2-10-0, 3-truck Shay, and 0-6-0T.

Rolling stock: 2 30' Roundhouse wooden boxcars (kits), 3 Bachmann Bobber cabooses, 1 Bachmann 40' tanker, 1 40' stock car (kit), and 1 Roundhouse shorty flatcar.

Here are some pics of my latest layout;

Hi all. My name is Matt, I am 16 and have a G gauge layout in my backyard, modeling a narrow gauge tourist line. I am also beginning my 5th or 6th HO layout. I have aquired a large number of locomotives and rolling stock and I am really getting into this again after being out of HO for a little while. I already found some of my friends here I know from the NTRES forums.

I look forward to meeting everyone else and sharing pictures of my layout with everyone!

See you down the tracks!

Hey Jordan....I got my layout done FINALLY that looks just like yours....Its TRAINZ of course but oh well :)......

Here is an idea that I came up with along with Jordan....What we plan on doing is when he takes pictures of his runs with his HO layout...I intend to copy the EXACT same pictures (some RR stock and trains might be a lil off but the detail and spots are right on) as he does on his layout with my TRAINZ sim....
