Try soaking it in water, it should loosen the glue/scenic cement.

With water lol!

Just get a spray bottle, and soak it to death. It works really well.

Yes it does work well. You can get a cup fo water and Dump in on the Road bed/Scenery. To removed this giant Grade Crossing on my 4x8 I dumped some water on it so soften it up.

I took a picture of this train, but the horn, I just couldn't resist letting that go. Big Smile [:D]

I got a 4x8 piece of foam today for my 4x8, and I picked up some MORE parts for my SDL39. I'm waiting for 2 more to arrive.

Why yes it is! Come on in!

Thanks.

Hi, I am currently building a freelanced 4x8 layout in my bedroom. It is dedicated to my grandmother, who bought me my first train set. It is loosely based on a small app mountain railway theme. I hope to have the main line down by the beginning of school.

Cool! I'm modeling the Wisconsin Central in 1995. Right now I ahev a blank 4x8, with no track plan, but Alex is making me one, so I'll be bale to mod that. I couldn't think of any good track plan. Tongue [:P]

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh... The quote-posts are back...

I'm modeling a Vermont Shortline if it still existed, on a "4x8." In reality its a 4.5x9.5... Its being built in my room on coasters, so I can roll it out of the corner if I want to run trains, or onto the deck if I want to take pictures!

That'd be 2 days late here. Hope for some pictures soon, lol. BTW, shouldn't 10 count as a teen? You're in double digits, lol. the appalachian mountains are awesome. my freelanced RR will be in SC's sandhills or whatever. Aiken-Edgefield shortline, w/ trackage rights 2 Augusta.

Looking forward to seeing more! Have you gotten a trackplan? What size is that table? I would not mind helping design the track plan.

Best wishes on your new layout.

I've been running an average of 8 miles a day with Cross Country! You got it easy, lol.

This ain't track and field, this is FOOTBALL! you're lucky to run a whole 100 yards at one time, lol. And I ran that ALL OUT, links on Pinks all out. didn't hold anything back. BTW, replace # w/ "number" and the quotes will work.

If it isn't any trouble you may draw one if you'd like.

Basicaly I want a Junction/Diamond with an interchange, 2 spurs (One has to be a Pulp Wood or Wood Chipper Siding), and lots of places I can take pictures.

The size is a 4x8 cut into a L. So is's a 4x6x6x4x2x2 with a 1.5x6 staging yard and a .5x2 foot cut that connects to the layout.

Humm, 1/4 mile...hard...some ones out of shape....Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] Laugh [(-D]

Also forgot to mention, #6 turnouts for main minimum, and #5 turnouts for spurs minimum, also, a 20 inch radius should be the mimimum too. I'll also be using code 83 track...

Nope, HO. N scale is pretty cool, if I could I'd switch, but I have too much invested in HO, plus, I have more skillz in HO...Tongue [:P]

Here's three plans I came up with. they are a little rough and not the most acurate, but I hope this helps!

Actually, its none of the above. I find that if you can devote a focused time on working on your layout, with say, a specific project, you will find you will get it done, with patience, even if you don't have much time, or money. I can't afford much in the way of trains, so I have to content myself with cheaper items, and make do with them. with enough work, they can be made pretty good. Mainly, you get what you put into it, like many other things.

here's some links to give you some ideas:
