I agree that EVERYONE needs to earn what they spend. Too bad the country does not do the same thing but that is for a different FORUM.
I did all kinds of odd jobs when I was growing up to earn money. That included baby sitting, yard work and grass cutting and bagging groceries at the local store. I never bought anything unless I had the money first. That has continued to be my philosiphy today. The only thing I owe is my monthly mortgage payment. So, necessities come first. Luxuries like model railroading, are just that, a luxury. If I don't have the money to pay for it, cash on the spot, I don't buy it until I save the money.
