Afternoon folks!

Chloe I'll have me a RBF to tide me over 'til suppertime.

Bama and Todd, thanks for the kind words about the photos.  Oh, it's fine to like both of them!

just can't seem to get going today.  Most of me just wants to go take a nap.....  May be the hot weather here in the Finger Lakes.  The weather prognosticators were a bit off with the 79°F prediction.  We just peaked for the day at 84°F.  Broke the previous record high for the day (set in 1994) of 66°F.  That is by 18°F.  I did manage to get outside and finish cutting down last years growth in the herb garden/asparagus patch.  Picked up and cleaned up a few other outdoor things, but mostly just want to sit back and relax....  Not a bad thing I guess.

Ah, Chris, all the Easter Bunny stuff....  I usually get myself in trouble when my family goes out to eat on Easter...  The place we go to has some poor shlep dressed in a Bunny suit.  He usually comes over to wave at me and I always say something like, "Aw  ^&*%$^,  I forgot my gun!"

Well, I will go back to doing nothing for a while.....

I thought I would take a moment to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. The wife and I are invited to my nephews for Easter dinner tomorow. That's always a lot of fun with the great nephews and great neice. What will you folks be doing for dinner? Whatever it is, enjoy yourselves.

Tom - A Happy Easter to you too. For me right now it looks like reheated pizza in the shop but don't cry for me Argentina - it was my choice to open my own shop, nicht wahr?   J.R.

Strawberry milkshake please.

Just got back from the Easter egg hunt and cleanup. I guess at least it gave the last pole of the bent time to dry. I have misjudged the amount of 12"X18" strip wood needed. I need, get this, 12 scale feet moreSigh. Oh well, one can always use some extra scratch material. I know, I know, it's precut to scale so "scratch" is a debatable term, but it's close enough for meTongue. Missy the dog is tuckered out, she went to the hunt also. Unfortunately she was too busy gawking around and missed her age group. Poor girl, she spent the rest of the time nosing through other kids baskets and bags and buckets to see what they got. Now she's

PATom- Thanks and Happy Easter to you and yours. We will be dining out in Springfield this year with my Mother. She wants to buy and since she can't really cook much anymore she decided to take us out. Told her we could cook here, but she says she wants to so Brenda doesn't have to work. Apparently, I am pocket lint.

Chris- You'd have liked or disliked the hunt we have. It's set up in 5 age groups with an area apiece and they ran after each other, not all at once. Missy and I just strolled and got to see all the little honest innocent children do battle over plastic eggs. Only one got trampled. A little girl got Walmarted at the start by a herd of other little girls. She didn't get hurt but only got 4 eggs. She had a bad day and didn't even want to hug Missy.

Think I'll toddle on downstairs now.

Good Evening

It's kind of windy out here--up to 100kmh at times a little earlier.

Our house is now quieter as everyone took off for home or wherever. We had our Easter hunt at a few yard sales and I came up with a few things. Namely a lot of hoppers in N scale----WhistlingPirate

Todd: Missy looks a little beat---Shock How many people showed up at the Easter Egg Hunt? As for the uunderestimation of the wood needed---seems I do that a lot--Whistling

Ray: There might have been some sort of an issue around up here as well with the internet as I heard a few people talking about funny stuff going on this morning with it. Seemed that it was OK when I got home around 11-ish though.

Chloe, I'll have a chocolate raspberry shake and a slice o' that Lemon Meringue Pie please---no, on a plate please---I'm going to sit by the corner booth ---for protection sake---

Evening. I'm tired and must retire to the sleeping chamber. Jesus is not the only one who must rise tomorrow. Gotta get to the Church early to get a seat. Don't know if I'll go to Sunrise Service or not.

Barry- Who boy a lot of childrens were there. Great turn out but it's hard to say how many, couple hundred? When it comes to excited kids it may have only been 4 and it seemed like a couple hundred.

Worked on the trestle some more. Kinda slow going with wood glue you know, lots of dry time. Laid down some track at the elevator this afternoon. Been trying to figure the layout of some grain bins. Once I get the track laid and wired, and another couple of PVC bins made up, Jeff can run his neeeew hoppers over the border and pick up a load. THIS elevator only takes good corn. None of that damaged moldy shhhtuff.Laugh

Prayers for ALL tonight.Angel

 Happy Easter!

Good Morning,

for the first time in history, the weather guessers were not right in their prediction for the Easter holidays. It is much nicer!

Zoe, I´ll have only a light breakfast today, coffee and some fruit, please. Yes, an apple will be fine.

I had some trouble with the snow plows falling off all the time. I had used regular plastic cement to glue them to the coupler pockets, but that did not work out, as the pockets are made of Delrin. So I had to get super glue. That did it! Now they are securely fastened.

A joyful time to all of you!

Last Thursday and Friday I did some w*rk, which earned me a little amount I can now spend on getting the materials for the benchwork and some of the track - not all. It´ll be a start and I am really looking forward to it.

Mornin' and Happy Easter to you who are of the faith.  And a great day to all of you who are other faiths, etc.

Zoe just a small bowl of cereal and a cup of dark roast coffee for me this morning.  I will be spending the day with family.  My son called last night to say they would be coming to church today and was hoping the roof doesn't cave in on them....  been a couple months since they last came to church mostly due to the moving to a new house.  I will sit with them.  Then we all head out to Canandaigua to have Easter Brunch with my sister at a fancy restaurant (Old family tradition).  There I will get in trouble for making snide comments about the person dressed as the Easter Bunny and eat too much.  When we are done there, I will come home and go over to my Son's house for Easter Dinner with his wife's family where I will eat too much.......

Going to be a very pleasant 67°F under sunny skies here in the Finger Lakes today.

Have a good one!

A Happy Easter to those who believe, Happy Sunday to those who don't, and Happy day to those who are questioning!

This IS the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice in it!

Already watched the Hour of Power from the Crystal Cathedral in Orange Grove, California for morning Easter blessings. And some of EWTN {Catholic cable station} as One of us is Protestant, and the other Catholic, but both believers.

Supposed to be a purdy day today but rain will be moving in and looks like it will be staying awhile. Darn. But temps will be in the 60's near 70's and with rain that means sticky "hot' weather.....this tin can we live in can still get quite hot and very damp with windows open. WE will wait a week and see what happens and uncover the LR a/c. Have to buya  new small one for the BR as the old one makes too much noise. Haven't yet seen them in stores. Yet.

The grass has almost totally greened up already! In just the last few days! A sure sign of spring. Of course the earlier Easter comes, usually the earlier the spring comes. We can still have snow /snowstorm after easter but usually minor and doesn't last long.

Choo CHoo traffic seems to be picking up on the NS/ CP line running through here in the last 2 yrs they have been doing trackwork and replacing ties and adding welded rail, so traffic was  s-l-o-w. I don't always get to see them, but I hear them. Darn. ANd steam will  never run on NS as they don't cotton to steam running their rails- just diesels. If the other half wasn't working yesterday we mighta gone to Steamtown to see if they play with the steamers yet.Darn.

Got a migraine working its way in. I have a ham dinner with fixins to do today just for the two of us, hope it doens't get in the way. I get them when weather pattern changes. That and seasonal allergies are already setting in. But one of my 18 medications is to combat that. and A little sudafed helps with nasal stuffiness so I can breathe a bit better.

well guys, have a great day no matter how you celebrate it!

Prayer candle is up with a double candle for Easter and Christ's rising!

Good Morning All and Happy Easter,

I'll have a regular and one of those hot cross buns please. A special family treat on Easter breakfast and a rfeminder that later there'd be Keilbassa.

A gorgeous day out and I'll spend time w..king on my big trailers electrics (it keeps tripping the 110 breakers so I think we have developed a ground fault problem) I still have the deadline to load theSavannah trip tomorrow but the Morgan going to Pocono this coming Friday looks more manageable this morning. We got a lot done yesterday.

When I return next week I have a pair of Rivarossi coaches to convert to body mount Kaydees so I've ordered a set of conversion mounts. Never done this before so I'm looking forward to it. The New Haven had lots of passenger equipment so a way to convert the less expensive coaches could be useful. Time to stop daydreaming and get to it in the trailer. Catch y'all later, J.R.

Good morning. It's 64 and partly cloudy. The sky will remain partly cloudy as the high climbs climbs into the low 80's.

Last night I ordered two new covered hoppers (Monsanto, NYC) and a Great Northern DCC equipped GP30 (Bachmann). I've been seeing people having good things to say about it so I want to see for myself. If nothing else it'll make a good paper weight. Nothing in particular planned for today.

 Good morning, and Happy Easter!

Lots of "should-do's" for today, a few "could-do's" as well. Even a "might-do" or two.

We'll see how it all shakes out, with a busy week coming up, might just be a vegetative lump today.

Happy Easter everyone. Sorry about jumping in the pool only to hit the showers! I've been fairly busy of late and haven't got used to coming over here yet. I've been modeling in HO for over 25 years. I have a small loop around my bedroom. It's dual gauge on one side with standard and narrow gauge on the other three sides. I mostly model narrow gauge now-a-days. I'm a member of the New Mexico Narrow Gauge Modular Club and a member in the Belen Model RR Club located in the historic Harvey House.

Hello

We had our afternoon feast as we got invited to our next door neighbour's for a big ol' BBQ featuring Venison----heeheehee----and No, Todd, Ray or Garry, I did not eat the ENTIRE thing---sheeeshWhistling

Earlier, I went and started doing the diorama that'll feature one of the Thompson Mill's plants. And promptly discovered that I's going to need an extra 18" of space if'n I am going to keep a hopper loader/unloader within the front of the layout---it is either that, or, it will force me to curve the line to the back so that I could make a bit of space off to the sideWhistling Oh welp....

Chloe, I'll have a small glass of Cranberry Juice--no Ray, my digestive system is working just fine thanksWhistling And a Chef's Salad please----no, I'm not on a diet--sheeeshMischiefWhistling

I'll be at the RC for now-----

Happy Easter (afternoon/evening), Janie. I'll have a RBF please 'n' thank you. I'm back on the little 'Pod again - got the laptop's drive cloned to the desktop Power Mac (about all night while I slept), then Sat. had the laptop not get to the login box. Banged Head, and I think the PRAM backup battery is toast. Have another PowerBook, but it needs something, and Internet at home is only nearby WiFi (weak signal), not very reliable. Will be back in once laptop is fully functional again. At least I can do email still with the 'Pod... Sigh Blessings, Jim in Cape Girardeau

Happy Easter,All!

Jeff, I have 5 Bachman Geeps, all different road #s( GN ). I think they're great! I haven't had to replace any " On Board" decoders yet! They seem to be different model years. Some are a little more detailed and a little touchy (read : delicate) on the grabs, railings etc.FYI.

Oh hey.. yeah.. we got hit with an earthquake.. just now!  For over a minute.. a lasting.. jumpy / rolling one.  Lasted over a minute.. closer to a minute and 20 secs.  From Huntington beach.. this was felt deep.. somewhat distant from us.. and somewhere else could have been hit much harder.. that.. just us.. with a rolling one.
