Track fiddler Honestly Brent. I'm thinking it was just some troll bouncing around on the internet getting his kicks, and you happen to be one of the victims. As York John discovered more truth to the matter, you certainly shouldn't worry about it my friend TF

I thought that right from the get-go. Google the name and get zip. Not worried in the least.

"All of the world's problems are the result of the difference between how we think and how the world works."
The troll has not even taken the trouble to make his claim believable. The date of 1986 is probably correct, as posted. He could not have taken it in 1983 since in that year the locomotive still carried its original number, 7027.

I prefer to post a link pointing to the source, except for the pictures that I took myself. Perhaps Brent could post the link in his initial post, as the thread itself is worth keeping. Made me laugh quite a bit!

I am not sure where they came from as it was a long time ago, but I think a friend of my wife Emailed them to her when we were house hunting saying it would be a perfect house for me. There is a link to railpictures above in a previous post if anyone wants a look see.
Then the Troll wins? ...
PS Wonder how long it takes this Ol' Thread to get Clicked

I still hope he comes back to clear things up.
Well if you do go to jail over this, your friends on these Forums will send you a cake with a file hidden in it. It's the least we can do.

Thanks Dave.
Just don't send me one of those tiny ones you use to file rail ends with or I'll never get out.
I'll cough up $100 toward your bail if that works for you, Brent.
I'll need it back, tho...

Thanks, Crandell. Don't rush down to the courthouse too fast, give me three or four days to rest and relax in the hoosegow first. There has been a lot of request for my time lately, I'll have an excuse to say no.
Here ya go Brent.
Got an extra one, so just put it in your wallet just in case
It seems I'm always late to these discussions. For what it's worth, the Ohio Central has a branchline from Newark, OH to Mt. Vernon, OH. It parallels Ohio Route 13 throught the towns of Vanatta and St. Louisville. There are several places were the tracks are between Rt. 13 and homes and the driveways have to cross the tracks. Only one train a day goes up and down that line and it is a slow order track so there's not much of a hazard. I think if you lived in one of those houses, you would be used to checking for a train before you cross the tracks.

Thanks, TF that's better than spending Crandells hard-earned cash. LOL.
