This part of the subroadbed is now up on risers, even if it's only 20mm above the benchwork:
I've cut out more subroadbed on the other end as well:

The Breitenbach - Rosenheim Railroad V3
I've started to cut out some subroadbed. The curve radius is 8m (26' 3").
Today I finally started to work on the visible part of the layout:
Here comes the lower return loop that will lead to the visible part of the layout:
The N scale return loop radius is to tight for H0 so it had to go:
I waited as long as I could but this morning I finally removed the N scale east staging yard. Now there is no way back...
I cut a gap into the background to gain access to the tunnel track that will soon be installed in this area:
looks like a great plan
There's not much going on right now, I'm too busy work wise. Still, I've made some adjustments to the track plan again:

Before I start working on the visible layout I did some finetuning of the plan. Small changes all that I believe are an improvement. Here's the new plan:
Again, here's a larger version: http://www.gamrailroad.com/images/BRIII/2018/Rosenheim%2012_8.pdf
The last staging track is in place. Unfortunately I've completely run out of freight AND passenger cars so instead of the long train that would normally be parked here I unpacked a very short one:
As a test I have placed the turnouts that will be at the end of the yard:
I've added a staging track for another long passenger train. Now there's only one missing, then the staging yard will be complete!
Well, building a staging yard is part of the layout construction I believe. But don't worry, there's only 2 more trains and then the yard is complete and I will reach the visible part of the layout.
Is this a layout construction thread or a "showing off my model collection" thread? I'm very interested in the former and couldn't care less about the latter.
Strange to see a thread get hijacked by the OP.
I have the right to remain silent. By posting here I have given up that right and accept that anything I say can and will be used as evidence to critique me.
Another passenger train with a steam locomotive:
I added another staging track today. The train is something special, it's the only train my son ever gave me as a birthday gift. I wish he could be here to see it run...
Love the euro rolling stock . i have a few interesting pieces as well
Regards
Anton.
Another short freight pulled by an electric E60 locomotive:
Another long freight train, this time with an E 52 at the head:
I've added another of the longer staging tracks this morning. This is a nice long freight pulled by an E95 locomotive.
The second train of the day is the famous "Rheingold" first class passenger train of 1962. Unfortunately I only have 4 cars and they are not available anymore.
The next train:
The fourth and last new train for today is a German express train:
On the next track we have some across-the-border traffic, an Austrian express train:
The next train is a short freight again, pulled by an electric class E 80 locomotive:
I added another few feet of track so this nice passenger train has a place to park:
The next train is a typical passenger train of the sixties:
Today's first new train is a short freight:
I added the last parking spot that's behind the backdrop:
The next train in the staging yard:
