Just in case no-one mentioned it previously: I subscribe to REMINISCE magazine. It;s a GREAT source for all things from the past and fits in very well with model railroading, regardles of scale.  TTFN......papasmurf

Might you have any traffic signs, i.e., stop, yield, speed limit, etc.???

Great help and service you're doing for modelers here.

1. I may have to go through all 37 pages to find it, but I'll ask this:  Did you include the logo/sign for Esso? (Exxon's ancestor).  As a kid, I remember my dad going to Esso stations to gas up our 68 Pontiac LeMans back in the early 70s.  I would like to model a generic version of an Esso station.

2.  Is there a particular brand of decal-printer paper that is preferable for these signs as far as quality?

Did you "put a tiger in your tank"?

I still have a couple of tiger pitchers from that Esso promotion.

I no longer have the little tiger tail that used to fasten to the fuel filler cap.

I saw some ESSO signs back on page 33.

Jay,

There are several pages with Esso signs, but you have to be prepared to dig through 616 pages to find them.  I've been downloading every page that has been posted and saving them into a special folder on my computer.

I'm even finding some of these signs with people in the image useful for G-scale scratch-built building windows to make them 'lived in' insted of just blank.  I print them on plain printer paper and glue to the insides of the windows.  The buldings are going to be so far away from the viewers that it isn't apparent there's no depth to the scene.

Please give me some feedback on these background buildings. I'll keep them coming if anyone else finds them usefull.

Keep the background buildings coming. I've already printed one off to the size I want and plan on doing more. The service you are doing for the hobby and your fellow modellers is outstanding. All I can say is thank you for the variety and inspiration.

I too have been looking for 50's or 60's Sinclair oil and gas station signs, etc. I remember sinclair going to the Dino the dinasaur as a marketing measure. I have seen a couple among these posts but still searching for more. I planned to kit bash a station.

Where would I find more modern signs.  I have a store front that I want to add posters in the front window and a modern interior but am drawing a blank.  I have flipped through magazines and have not found anything that would fit the scale.  Any suggestions?

Try google images, ebay auctions, product web sites, ect. Just copy & paste, crop, edit to size for your scale.

Wow! Tom thank you so much for grouping the ESSO logos!  I've downloaded it and am looking forward to my "Esso" station on the layout.
