This project has been my backbreaker - last structure I need to finish before I can finish the top level:

Am using plasticstruct angles and straights to define the floors, which will be represented to be concrete pillars and slabs, with brick work between floors.

Got one side done, and will be glad to get this step finished.

Added 1/8 styrene frames around the windows, which provides a better fit.

Got them painted and placed, and finished the concrete trim up the left side:

Although not evident in these photos, all twelve windows - six on this add on structure and six on the main building - all have crosshatch "bars" in teh windows. What a pain that was:

This week I purchased my first ATLAS Industrial Rail Car.  

The trucks are die cast.  I am still trying to learn how to remove the lumber load.  I would like to add simulated tie down strapping.  Good quality for a reasonable price.

I want one of those.

Buckeye, Check out some of the pin striping tapes, they are great for simulated banding on pallets & crates, etc.

Good idea.  I have seen some real narrow tapes in the LHS that I think they use for masking.

The Lionel K4 is a semi-scale engine I have had for a few years.  It is smaller than the K-Line scale K4s but not by a lot.  When I first saw the two engines side-by-side I didn't think Charlie's engine was a full scale engine.  I also have two of the K-Line scale K4s engines but had never had the Lionel next to either of them.  I really thought my scale K4s engines were longer.

Thanks Laz !! That engine with all the smoke was my MTH 2-8-0 P & LE . The other engine was the Lionmaster Challenger. I forgot to turn the smoke on, on that one though it smokes pretty good, not like the other one. Videos are hard to make without help !! Plus, Downloading it on Photo bucket took over an hour. It wouldn't load on You-Tube !

The train room has sadly been ignored now for several weeks for various reasons but after this week is over there will be more time to spend with the "toys". This is just a busy time of year for me and I'm ready for a free weekend or some free nights in general.

I do have a little over 100 little people I'm planning to populate our passenger cars with and I'm looking forward to having passengers in my cars. Hope I don't destroy any cars taking the tops off, I've never done that before.

Thanks for the compliments about the video, another one is being planned for the 2nd week in March with some new ideas.

It's not really a coaling tower, more like an add-on to the factory, on which I might install some winches to simulate unloading vertically. I probably violated so many regulations and prototype mumbo-jumbo with this it ain't even funny. Luckily, on my railroad, I get to make the rules - including building right over the right-of-way.

Have you tried loading it on Google.com video?  I've seen some VERY large video files there, and the screen size is much better than with youtube.com.
