Laz,
It's a deal....just as long as the bear doesn't do in the back seat what they're famous for doing in the woods

John,
There should be 4 photos in the link. That's all there was as far as I know.
Jim,
Diesel does have moving eyes like the other character engines.
Jim, The first two disapeared. Brian knows about it but can't find the problem.
In another thread over there, he posted a photo of a brass British diesel switcher that was a real jewel of a model. That one is also not displaying.

Sir James, we've got cookies, but no icecream - got any banilla? Maybe we can share our resources?
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Good evening,
Not an eventful day; it rained, Mi. state lost their bowl game, that just about covers todays events. Oh my wife made a bisquick pizza for me. messed with but did not run any trains.
Years ago Bowser sold their turntables and the add ons seperate so I have the table but turn it by hand. It's wired for power to the tracks the side girders and other parts were die cast, added some of those but no motorizing they offered one but the set up seemed like 1930s.

I guess Diesel doesn't have moving eyes! Got my Thomas running today - the eyes don't move as much as I expected, but it's a nice effect. BFOC threw a driver rod - this is the 3rd screw to unscrew itself. I had it in reverse for a while though, which might be the problem. The first screw I loctited has stayed put. The second came undone - I'm not sure that I got enough glue on it though I did manage to lock that driver rod! LOL Oh well, it came loose, along with the screw. I'll get this right eventually.
Buford, the BFOC, hoped that some day he would be a Really Useful Engine as well. Pat said, "Looks like 'e as a screw loose ta me." Mike said, "An' this screw come out too."

Thanks Jim, The original pics disapeared but he posted two more.
Spent a nice afternoon with the kids today. Played a Sim video game with Julia, and ran a Santa Fe train in the living room with the boys. Talked to my oldest friend just a few minutes ago. I've known her since we were 5 years old. That was a long time ago.
Wow, What a change in the weather. Was warm and sunny early this afternoon & within a couple of hours it turned windy and cold & now looks like rain, or maybe snow on the way. Must be blowing in from Ohio.
Roy, How is the Bowser turntable working for you? I hear they take a lot of TLC to make them operate properly. Sounds like what I heard is correct. I see that Ross is now shipping their TT, but very pricey. Of course I guess 2 weeks of your time could get pricey too.
Jim, Is there a picture of the English switcher conversion on OGR? How do I find it? Is it a separate thread or part of another subject?
Take care,
Afternoon all!
Sunny, bright, and cool here. About 54. A bit warmer for the weekend. We got a nice rain late last night - nice surprise.
On our way to see Charlie Wilson's War. Heard it is good. I usually like Tom Hanks movies.
Been working on a Bowser 24 inch turntable for a layout. What a project. Everything requires extra effort and design-arounds to make it work properly. I must have about 2 weeks of effort on this thing and still a few hours to go. It does look very nice however and is pretty cool when it turns.
Later all!
Regards, Roy
Brent, yup that would be cool. Some of my family stil live near the NorthEast Corridor. I was planning to go to Princeton Jct. next month just to hang out and see whats going on. I'f like to get a video of the Acela (lesseee, hmm about 10 secs of that..) plus what ever elve Amtrak, NJT and NS/CSX can muster up thata ways. Maybe get to the West Trenton Line for the Juice Train.
Still speculating though, many months before anything happens...we'll see.

Hey Jim,
Your correct that the Orange Bowl is to be demolished around March or April of this year and the demo crew is selling off some of the stuff from the Orange Bowl.
How about that 350 pound lion out west that hurt two people & killed another?
Down here we have gang activity. About a week ago a woman was found outside a church dead & on fire, to me sounds like a Satanic ritual killing!
People wonder why I want to leave Florida, all you have to do is look at the headline news from Florida!
I am trying to keep the shiney side up and the rubber on the pavement.
Been trying to figure out why I lost electric in part of my house after taking a lighting fixture down to see what it would take to replace the fixture. Talked to a friend & he said to check my GFI outlets as one may have fried it's output.

Just found out the NFL has moved the Ravens/Steelers game from a 1:00pm to 4:00pm start... now I have to debate whether I want to go watch a skrimage game between the mopup duty personnel, or stay home and watch it in HD in front of the fireplace... I HATE 4:00pm starts on Sunday... blows the whole friggin day... Rich,If you are movin' back into the area, we'll have to hook up with Fife someday and do some railfanning! Maybe our Mason/Dixon line brethern Mitch, JohnF, and Laz will be up for it as well.LOL! I loved that story... at least you're still married - something similiar almost resulted in me not getting married the first time!
Hopefully near Exit 8 on the Turnpike (or maybe Exit 90 on the GSP)
(oh yeah, I remember that old exit joke....)
Hey Lee!
I saw a car on its roof yesterday in Miami on the TV news and wondered if it was you! Keep the shiny side up, Philly!
Also saw that the Orange Bowl is going to be demolished. Hasn't been the same since the Dolphins left!
Philaknight, good luck on your test!
Sir James, sounds like a good project, pics?
Rich, Good luck - hope something comes up for you fast?!
88 - We only got our Christmas layout 1/2 done due to orders from my wife. Oh well, less to clean up now. Still have the snow on the table and stuff - didn't look half bad. Just needed to decorate a little tree, which I hate doing anyway. Need to get insulation and drywall up in the play room though... Just been a bum lately.
Good morning - mailman already came and got my Thomas set. It's the complete 31956 set except they removed the track and transformer. Watching Kung Fu Mahjong (lowbrow HK comedy) and once it's done will go down and give Thomas a spin with daughter. Maybe play some more Wii with son later. I had plans to work on basement - maybe on the weekend. I am just enjoying hanging out with the kids too much to work on my vacation!
Welcome back, Doug and glad you made it through that long drive! Kit sounds good - they make a station I want, but if/when daughter and I can find some appropriate doors/windows I think we'll try and copy it instead using Sculpey.
Hey, Rich, what exit will you be moving to?
Morning everyone. Hope yous giz had a great Christmas. It was a success here in the NJDevil home. No trains for me, though. I did treat myself to a 671 & tender. I was going to rip it apart and rebuild it, but the darn thing smokes like nobodys business and it runs really well. I may just replace the whistle in the tender with one from TA or ERR.
And since Christmas is gone, 500 of my Hot Wheels go up for sale..(interested parties....)
Weeeel, now...for the interesting news of the month:
The bride and the Princess spent a week in NJ with my parents. My Dad made sure the bride had coffee first thing in the AM and they treated her pretty well. My Daughter always likes to be nearer to the Grandparents and the rest of the family anyway.....
SO, now she is looking for a job back in NJ!!!! This should be very interesting in the next few months...I just need to find a job there and give up this "cushy" gig I have here.
Stay tuned...this could get very interesting (insert Arte Johnson here)

sir james I wrote:Jumijo-This F3 project started because I have a decent Lionel NYC F3 dummy. Can't find a powered I'm willing to pay the going rate for as I have two newer ones. Anyway I had enough parts to make a twin motor chassis with electronic E unit. Thats ready. So the shell is painted, Dark NYC gray the decal stripes have the lite gray on them but there is no match to the Lionel Lighting stripe that I could find So I'm going for close. the front will match but the rear stripe goes straight to the end.
I'd love to see photos of your progress. Does the new NYC dark gray paint match up well with the dummy's color?
Welcome back, Dougie!
I'm going to Charles Ro tomorrow to buy a troublesome truck to repaint green, and then I'll weather it up a little. If they have a loose Annie or Clarabell, I'll buy that too and turn it into a red Sodor mail car.
Some guy on OGR turned the new Thomas Diesel into a nice rendition of a real British switcher.
