Happy Thanksgiving from a sunny, cold Crystal Lake with a trace of snow on the ground. The turkey is cooking and smelling up the house. Certainly thankful for all of you - and having a job, warm house, food, clothes, car, good health and a basement of trolleys.

A "white" Thanksgiving greeting from Iowa where we wish the elections were tomorrow. The weather guessers sure missed yesterday, we were supposed to get a light dusting--4" later it stopped snowing. Lots of accidents and one interstate fatality, very sad. Our kids rolled in early last night, safe & sound and very thankful to be here.

Best to all and remember, you are what you eat :)

Morning all.  Warm and sunny.  Suppose to have a front come through with rain and cold temps.

As for Buckeye, he will certainly be on a "stake out" if he comes to NC.  Right beside an ant hill.  We have fireants in NC now. Shock [:O] Maybe we wil sweeten him up some with a little honey. Evil [}:)]

All jokes aside, hope all have a happy Thanksgiving and a safe one for all those having to travel.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone....

It is a cold , windy 50 degrees. Dropped from 61, earlier. Going to drop to 43, today with some rain or snow.

Today, we are staying home and having dinner for two. A good day to relax. I ordered dinner from a great Caterer, and picked it up yesterday. All you have to do is cook it an hour. Comes complete with pumpkin pie. This way the wife won't have to cook. She is still having a little pain and has to sit down a lot. But, things are healing.

Maybe I will run trains later.  Good day for it.

Where is Buckeye today ??? There is a rumor that he has traveled south to NC, to do some " stake out " work. Hmmmmmmm........

Dining Car is here and it's time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Thanksgiving Day.

Happy Thanksgivin' boys.  Happy Thanksgivin' English.  Happy Thanksgivin' Ms Lisa and Ms Misty.  Going to have dinner over in-laws at 3, but have to travel around a little before then to say hey to my folks.  Looks like the Mid-Atlantic region is going to get another mild day before the cold front moves in.

Morning!

Youngest slept until 5:00!  Yeah!  She was up at 1:30am....Doug, I'm still laughing at that one!

Thanks for all the support on the stay-at-home thing...This year was work.  The youngest not selleping thru the night, and needing constant attention, difficult to do anything away from her...Next year should more than make up for it.  Dad will get some sleep, and both of them will be walking, so we can spend more time at the water park...SShhhh...don't tell the bride.  I can't wait until they will sit still so we can go to the baseball games.  I'll lure them in with the carousel at Tiger Stadium...(comerica park)

Sir James:  I know...I was waiting for a lurking stay-at-home Mom to blast you!  Laugh [(-D]  Pot Stirrer.

Dinner with friends today, then off to other friends for dessert.  Youngest doesn't travel well so we won't be visiting family, as everyone is out of state.

Thanks again to all my online friends!  Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

Jim, That's probably the same one. It came with two freight cars and a bobber caboose. I got the three car overton set from Just Trains for $99 and the Presidential car on E-Bay to also run with the loco. I need to get a couple more freight to go with the existing two cars, maybe a gondola or two or an olde timer beer reefer. It is a sweet little loco with good sounds and smokes like the dickens, at home I generally turn both down about half and it is still quite sufficient.

Just wish I could find period appropriate passengers to go in them. John, jefelectric, has the set and he was using it like a tourist train. More than one way to skin a cat.

Thanks for the wishes Jim, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone else on the forum! We will be spending the day with my family, I am thankful to have all of them with us. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

We have been getting our stuff together for the Christmas layout. We hope to get it started this weekend (waiting for the hubby to clear some furniture out and get the board set up for us). I found some of the buildings and people at Rite Aid-they had them all priced at 50% off for the last couple of weeks. They appear to be close to the right size, at least close enough for us! The kids are real excited about setting it up. I hope to be able to post some pictures when we get it done.

Once again, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

HI GIZ,

Just got done running trains here for 2 hrs.  NO PILE UPS!  Ran the new BB, and the Century Club 773 Hudson, along with a RS 11, and to top it off a Reading docksider in conventional mode.  Great nite!

Hope all have a GREAT Thanksgiving.

Remember after you eat, take a walk for a half hour, better digestion.
