Good morning all,
It is cloudy/rainy/cool this morning in SE Indiana with the temps in the 60/70s today. I watched the tape of the IRL race from Kansas on Sunday (Got Milka?) I also watched a HS softball game and went for a walk with the wife. Lucas is in the high school musical this weekend as one of the extras. We are going tonight because Saturday will be the last show (thank heaven) directed by the current music teacher, and there will be all the tearful faking of farewells then (tell us how you really feel, Mike). "Spiderman 3" opens this weekend and we hope to see that sometime. Dining car is headed to "Points East". I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 50 degrees. Going up to a sunny 75 today. No rain today. This looks like the beginning of another beautiful day.
Today, I will be outside all day again. Need to mow the front yard and hill. Front needs to be trimmed good. I will be busy. Probably, no time for trains. I may take a break, later, and run them for a short break. I have a few ideas, I'd like to try on the scenery.
Buckeye..Hope you are catching a lot of fish. Enjoy.
Dining Car is ready and waiting. No word from " points west " yet. Must be sleeping late, or posting at the same time that I do. ...OK, time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Friday.
Chuck
Zeke heres one for you that the rest have heard in here but you haven't my boss is 96 years young and still gets around.

Good morning from New England and happy birthday to Zeke.
I took my 2018 apart last night and briefly got it running again. But then the wife came down stairs to wrap birthday presents and naturally assumed I'd like to help.

Morning everyone. Supposed to be gorgeous here weather wise for the next few days.
The interview was OK. I never have had an interview where I walked out saying "Wow I nailed that." Yesterday was no exception. It wasn't terrible and I knew everyone on the interview committtee very well so that helped. I should know by next Wednesday.
Zeke, Misty, Sir James also Zeke
and welcome back Ken - Haven't heard from you in a while. Where did your daughter end up deciding to go to school? I remember you were on the great college search tour a while back.
Well I better go start a fresh pot of coffee and then get to work. Another interesting day awaits.
Take care.

Zeke,
My Mom hit the big 90 on 5/3. She went to the hairdresser and got a Perm, then spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for the latest styles in fashion. She does think some of her Doctor's have not aged well though. It must be an attitude thing.
Hope you had a great birthday.
Ken
Morning All,
On night shift and on break.
Zeke - Sounds like you've done a lot of living in 30 years. Every day can be a new begining.
John - Rather than the air horns what about the old ah-ugh-gah horns? Maybe some of Southern friends would like a horn on General Lee? Then of course there was the Beep Beep horns on the Mopar Roadrunners.
I won a 600 All Aboard Set on the bay. I've been trying for a while and got one at the price I could justify. It's pretty neat. Gilbert had a great idea, just too little too late. It is 17"x17" panels that connect with track to form an instant sceaniced layout with houses roads trees etc. Next few days going to be busy but I hope to get it together and some pictures by Sunday to post.
Take care and may God bless
Zeke, Us guys on the left coast ALWAYS get the last word in. Thats quite a life you have had in your first 30.
Mistyk11 Another left coaster, whoa that's 2 in two weeks visiting the pot. Come back often! Thanks for the heads up regarding the legality of the horns. Now to try and teach discretion.
John (CSXT30) Thanks for all the great ideas regarding the horns. It really helps. NOT !
I can just imagine all the neighbors complaining already. And it will be interesting how long it will be before he gets a ticket. I'm sure he would be above suspicion in the El Camino as inconspicous as it is. I have to admit had a set of CO2 horns on a truck when I was his age. but times they have changed.
I know Doug and Roy are probably getting a kick out of this, after all the bragging I did about how easy it is with a boy as opposed to a girl. Paybacks are always around the corner.
Keith - Thought about you earlier I was putting stuff away from all the painting and stuff we have been doing, came across about 6, 3 Stooges Tapes I didn't know we had. So a Stooge marathon is definitely in the future on our layout.
Dennis - Hope your loss is overcome painlessly as possible. I think you handled the whole thing correctly!
John (jefelectric) That Railfan Excursion really sounds good. Not to bad on the price either considering everything that you get. That will be a rather nice Birthday Present. The only thing that would be better would be a souvenior bear.
Just two weeks ago I was in train MECCA. I did call the store and Strasburg RR, and bought 3 more glasses, today. Actually, they are rather cool. It is a frosted tumbler with a clear circle on one side with a train engine appear at the front.
Going to take tomorrow off, (for those horns) and found out tonight my brother is coming in from Sacramento for the day. so will get to show off the new stuff, and train room.
Hope everyone has a great week-end ! Notice I didn't say anything about Friday eve, left that for someone else. Guess I will turn out the lights again, and hopefully John Baker will be along soon.

Hello All! Zeke- Don't Worry! - You're not old until the Gravediggers start chasing you if you happen to be taking a Sunday Stroll past the local cemetary! This is how the Chief gets his daily excercise also! Don B- Put a Frog inside Chris' New Horn- This is what the Little Rascals used to do. Or even some Grits may do the trick as the Horn will sound like a Dead Cow moooing & the look on people's faces will be worth it! Take Care all.
Happy Birthday Zeke
I thought I just turned 30 the other day, but turns out it was a few years ago now - goes faster the older you get?!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Evening guys,
Worked out this morning and did some shopping this afternoon. This is a bad month for me, Mother's day on the 13th, Wedding anniversary on the 27th and Wife's birthday on the 2nd of June. Took care of the anniversary today. One down and two to go.
If we got our ticket order in on time we will be going on this rail trip.

Dennis : I remember you mentioned your Dad has that set of horns before !! I imagine you have to be kind of cautious where & when you blow these things !! Does he also have model trains ? Just wondered !!
Zeke, I emailed you. Just give me an address to send the book to you. I would say it's a birthday present, but regardless, for a vet, I would send it any way.

The H.S. is doing some Star testing today, (whatever that is) and the Sr.s are just hangin around school. So he bought these, I tried to discourage it two or three weeks ago. I was planning a major delay on installing them. He out smarted me. Got a pair of jumper cables and making the connection with a couple of paper clips to the 12v compressor, and hooked up the air line to the trumpets. Came to the office and showed me how they tested..... then off to school to show his buds.I think I'm going to get in trouble before this dies out. Maybe a sock in the trumpets??

oh yes 18 i remeber those days....lol ...he was pretty smart for hooking them up ....but ya may want to help him rewire them the right way ...just so you know that its safe....and well as of tomorrow i hit the BIG 30...oh man am i old....time just flew after 18....but ya we get away with a little more up here i guess...we are a kinda redneck town...i think..(no offense to anyone but myself mainly)..and yes if you use them in a mature manner they can be fun...i dont know what kind he has but i love mine...dont use them a whole lot but still think thay are cool.... i am thinking the only trouble you can prolly get in is a noise disturbance maybe...but he' have to pretty anoying with them to get that i think
just wondering if anyone had plans for this cinco de mayo weekend!
i do ...im turning THIRTY!
Don, if you can, hide them. Don't keep them in the open.
Don, I just asked my husband about the air horns (he's a cop) and he said they are not legal....just make sure there aren't any cops around when he blows them!!
