Thanks for the re-assurance! Actually, I'm originally from Texas (got out before the guards made their 3rd rounds). The reason I understand what's being said here is that my 2nd cousin, twice removed on my mother's side of the family once saw Fats Domino dressed up as Santa at a department store in Baton Rouge where a Lionel train was being demonstrated (see? relevancy!) He was reciting "The Night Before Christmas on Blueberry Hill".

.....and a very touching moment, it was, for sure.

Wow - spent the day helping some friends move into their new house. We told them that building a new house would help with their fertility problem - they have had several miscarriages. Voila - she's pregnant and on bedrest so she won't lose the baby. She's at 14 weeks - 11 more and the baby will be okay - they could keep it alive if they have to do so. They closed on the house yesterday. There were 4 of us with trucks and an SUV and we made 2 full trips - still didn't get everything! Guess I'll have to go back again tomorrow and make a couple more trips. Luckily, I was off for Veterans Day.

I basically only watch the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, The Cooking Channel and Iowa Public Television. NBC at 5:30 for National news.

Discovery Ch.=fun shows not found elsewhere
Travel Ch.= Enjoying all the places I'll never be able to go to
Cooking Ch.=I love to cook, I've done all the cooking for 30 years except at Christmas

Well, to be frank, the reason I wasn't on the usual menu of Paula Zahn's nip tuck (or whatever) and travel ch train shows and American Chopper, is b/c a mighty wind came up a week ago, blowing down my satellite dish.

I get home in the dark every night and haven't had a chance to resurrect it so I'm using rabbit ears fashioned from wires on a very ancient TV, which only gets 2 or 3 channels; Bonanza fortunately.

Not a relic, David. I watch only sports - usually with the sound off - and some of the Disc. channel shows like Amer Chopper and Monster Garage. We only get the most basic of basic cable - for nearly $20 / month too - up another $2 bucks this month.
