Christmas 2004. I'm catching up!
An overall shot first

'Rapp Village' - scratchbuilt models of family member's houses:

And I'll continue my practice of including a sketch:
This was a fun layout to run with visitors watching. All of those crossovers, the green lines, are under the plateau so the viewer has no idea where the train is coming out respective to where it entered. it might enter from the top-left and exit on the bottom right whereas the viewer might be expecting a straight pass-thru since there are tracks directly across from the various entry points. Had fun running it with kids: we would pretend to do magic and make the train disappear!

A great looking car from Lionel during the 70's but is one of my worst cars for derailments. Plus, it's lousy beer, certainly a waste of good mountain water. Now, Fat Tire is something Colorado can be very proud of!

For Buckeye and all the unbleievers from Ohizo.

Thin sheeting to cover rest of attic insulation [as soon as wife gets her clothes and junk outof other half]

2X4's, 1X4's and etc stored and ready to build benchwork.

Another view of 2X4's, etc and the sheeting to be used as tabletop on benchwork.

Chief.... It looks like you are ready to evacuate. You've got to nail it up and run trains on it. Good luck, old fella.

Chief,Why are you showing everybody on this great forum the new supplies for your outhouse? [%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)]

Walt, I sent a copy of your photo to my daughter who wants a layout under the tree.

Good photos again as always, except for the outhouse noted above. [:D][:D][:D]

Buckeye, the outstanding and all knowledgable engineer that you are should be able to observe that is not new materials but well seasoned lumber that has been there for several months. [:0][;)]

Okay my mistake. [:(] You are using well seasoned materials for your new outhouse. If these were supplies for the benchwork for your layout, it would be turning real cold in OHIO, but it is beautiful weather.

Also, from the photos it appears that Jerry, a young kid, fifteen years old, beat you pretty handily. I think you owe Tom a large sum of money for some type of wager.

Hey Jerry,

Are those your items in the last photo of your post? They look like mighty old stuff. How's the 2035 coming along?

Hi Jim. The majority of all my stuff is postwar. All the items that are on the layout right now are,

-barrel loader and car

-cattle loader

-operating frieght station

-milk platform and car

-2026 and tender

-searchlight car

-assorted williams and PW lionel rolling stock

All of them work, but the barrel car and the cattle loader needs a new sliding shoe plate, and the cattle loader needs new rubber pads.

Nice Photo's Guys. Adam- Olsen's Toy Train Parts should have a Boilerfront for your 259E. If not, Then give Dr.Tinker's Train Parts a try. He's on the Web also. Good luck.

This is for anybody out there who can help. I am not very computer literate and I have a question about posting photos. How does one get the highlighted address of a photo copied into the forum? That is what do I need to do as far as key strokes or anything else is concerned. Pleas keep it simple so I can understand it.

Thank-you in advance.

Hello Adam ! How about the Train Tender in Pittsford,N.Y. ? They are another place that might have a boiler front. There is also George Tebolt and Stan Orr. Both of them also have websites. Let me know if you are successful in finding a Boilerfront.
