Hey Walt! Who's that big guy crosscountry skiing on your layout?

I have also dealt with GRYZBOWSKI'S via mail order and at York. They are straight up folks and treat the customer appropriately and with respect.

JAABAT,
GRYZBOWSKIS are real good to deal with. Meet these GIZ down at YORK and they had great deals. Then when I was up in Scranton, stopped at their store and talked a while with JOE sr. while JOE jr was filling all the incoming orders. Neat store and good GIZ to talk trains with.

Stevend: I'll have to scrounge around and post a picture on this coming's Sunday Photo fun that will show you how 'back there' derailments are handled.

I found one (click on it to enlarge):

As for under the plateau, it's why I avoid at all cost putting a switch under there. Experience is a great teacher!

Walt Rapp-

Just like the age-old question, which was asked in The Miracle on 34th Street-   "Does Santa sleep with his beard out or under the covers, when he sleeps? (Answer: Out.)

My question is-   "What does Walt do when there's a derailment inside / under the layout?

The whole world is dying to know!

I wish I lived near Steamtown, I was out there on vaction last week.
Heard it was a place to go see if your into steam. Glad I went.
The only thing I was bothered with, durring the shop tour, I didnt see any
young blood learing the trade. What are we going to do when the guys that
know the how to keep the steam on the rails die off? Kind of makes me want
to move out there and learn.

I did goto GRYZBOSKIS when I was there, in one of my other posts, there is
a Lacawana(sp?) coal car that I bought there.

Hello Jim ! I've been in Gryzboskis while in Scranton and they are good folks to deal with. They have a large Inventory as well,Much more than what is in their Ads. I do not believe you will be disappointed doing business with them.

Is GRYZBOSKIS considered a good store to mail order from? They have great prices. Any tales of whoa from anyone regarding GRYZBOSKIS?

Hello Adam ! How about the Train Tender in Pittsford,N.Y. ? They are another place that might have a boiler front. There is also George Tebolt and Stan Orr. Both of them also have websites. Let me know if you are successful in finding a Boilerfront.

Hi Jim. The majority of all my stuff is postwar. All the items that are on the layout right now are,

-barrel loader and car

-cattle loader

-operating frieght station

-milk platform and car

-2026 and tender

-searchlight car

-assorted williams and PW lionel rolling stock

All of them work, but the barrel car and the cattle loader needs a new sliding shoe plate, and the cattle loader needs new rubber pads.

Hey Jerry,

Are those your items in the last photo of your post? They look like mighty old stuff. How's the 2035 coming along?

Buckeye, the outstanding and all knowledgable engineer that you are should be able to observe that is not new materials but well seasoned lumber that has been there for several months. [:0][;)]

Okay my mistake. [:(] You are using well seasoned materials for your new outhouse. If these were supplies for the benchwork for your layout, it would be turning real cold in OHIO, but it is beautiful weather.

Also, from the photos it appears that Jerry, a young kid, fifteen years old, beat you pretty handily. I think you owe Tom a large sum of money for some type of wager.

Chief,Why are you showing everybody on this great forum the new supplies for your outhouse? [%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)][%-)]

Walt, I sent a copy of your photo to my daughter who wants a layout under the tree.

Good photos again as always, except for the outhouse noted above. [:D][:D][:D]

For Buckeye and all the unbleievers from Ohizo.

Thin sheeting to cover rest of attic insulation [as soon as wife gets her clothes and junk outof other half]

2X4's, 1X4's and etc stored and ready to build benchwork.

Another view of 2X4's, etc and the sheeting to be used as tabletop on benchwork.
