That's the kinda stuff I like that's homemade. I found my table saw very useful for cutting virtually any size lumber I need. Round? I don't have a lathe so I get sticks and use those. Making a trestle w/sticks, btw.

So much you can do w/a heap of scraps!

Nice Pictures everyone. Hi Laz 57. I also have one of those red/grey southern pacific cabooses from 1990. I got it when I bought the 8503 Southern Pacific nw2 diesel switcher also from 1990. They make a great combination.......................Keith

Hey Guys. Went to a swap meet and got a 6520 searchlight car in VG condition for $20. teated it, works great. I had a fun time!!!!!

Did that SPnw2 switcher did that come as a set? What was the price on that back then?
Yea it really lights up the layout. Did you have any problems with the smoke stack? This runs fine it was never taken out of the box and I put 2 drops in stack smokes great. Must you keep the smoke unit with a drop or two in it or is it ok to run without smoke?

This is one of the temporary layouts that was at our local train show.





















It always amazes me how much detail these layout have for only a one day setup.
