Hello Everyone ! The layout that Tom took photo's of belongs to a gent by the name of Harold Bailey of Bellvue,Ohio. Which is approx 50mi sw of Cleveland. He is a New York Central fan and the layout is housed in a Barn on his property when not in use.He goes to quite a few Train shows in the Cleveland area and has been doing this for maybe 18-19 years already................Keith

I don't have anything to do with it. I believe he is paided to setup and show his trains. [:0]

I do agree, it is an outstanding layout for a one day show. [:D]

Thanks for the compliment pbj, but the kudos actually belong to Mike Hayes who is essentially our club's resident historian and photographer. When we run on fridays he takes photos and e-mails them to all the members. I think he gets a bigger kick out of all the smiling faces than I.

When you are running your trains do you get the feeling that you are being watched ?

That is probably the best part of train running, watching the smiling faces on all the kids both big and little. [^]

This is one of the temporary layouts that was at our local train show.

It always amazes me how much detail these layout have for only a one day setup.

YO KEITH aka TORPEDO,
Did that SPnw2 switcher did that come as a set? What was the price on that back then?
Yea it really lights up the layout. Did you have any problems with the smoke stack? This runs fine it was never taken out of the box and I put 2 drops in stack smokes great. Must you keep the smoke unit with a drop or two in it or is it ok to run without smoke?

That's the kinda stuff I like that's homemade. I found my table saw very useful for cutting virtually any size lumber I need. Round? I don't have a lathe so I get sticks and use those. Making a trestle w/sticks, btw.

So much you can do w/a heap of scraps!
