Good Evening.
Been running my rolling stock acquistions from the train show, and am also relaxing after a long day of work.
Not much else to say.
Mornin' guys and gal(s). Clear and 36 along the Patterson Creek cut-off, but 70's in the afternoon hours. Will head to Lowe's for new vacuum cleaner later, and NRHS meeting tonight.
Busy with yearly physical, and helping Ms. Kelly hang curtains. Nice enough to move Benji the outside. Grilled steaks and for supper. Decided to avoid public forums yesterday...
Glad to hear Jenni's improving 'Devil!
And there'll be other Greenberg shows, missing one's not the end of the world.
But here, let the Dakman take you there! Fun video!

Good afternoon!!
Jenni continues to progress, wlaking with me instead of the walker.
PT has begun in earniest and she is sore - which is normal since she hasn't been out of bed for the most part since early January.
We were going to attempt Greenburg's in Edison, but deemed it too much too soon. We do have a dinner date on the 2nd.
Kev - Hope you have a speedy recovery!!
Train stuff has been organized and put away so there is not much on that front. Until we figure out where we are living, then not much can be done.
60s today and it is nice and sunny.

TheWaysideRailroaderMy friend who isn't into the hobby loved it! He told me he had a great time there!
Good to hear! He probably felt the same way I did when I went to my first train show:
"My God! It's like Christmas morning gone berserk!"
Good Morning!
I had a great time this past Saturday at the train show!
My friend who isn't into the hobby loved it! He told me he had a great time there!
I was able to pick up a few pieces of rolling stock:
A Lionel Toronto Blue Jays boxcar
A Lionel Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia coal hopper from 1971
A Lionel Frisco Double Door boxcar from 1991
and a Lionel flatcar with a Pepsi truck on it.
Good Morning
We too had a dusting of snow last night; less than an inch I would estimate. It is cloudy with a few breaks of sun, 24 degress with the possibility of breaking into the 30's, and its mighty breezy. Later this week the prediciton is for 40's.
I'm working on my first cup of coffee and planning what train adventures I might have today. We put up some artwork in the train room yesterday. I have quite a few original Griff Teller calendars from the Pennsylvania Railrod that my Dad got when he worked for the USPS in the Railway Transfer Service. His artwork has fueled many dreams of a railroad empire.
Time to warm up the TV. Televised church starts in a few minutes. Have a Great Day.

Mornin' sleepy heads. Sunny and 19 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Sipping coffee near the wood pellet stove, watching Virtual Railfan. Probably go trackside, after I fix myself a sausage omelette.
Did run trains. Did have pile-up. Caboose uncoupled on a hidden loop, and my 1862 found it on the next circuit... Watched Nascar while cutting plaster strips for upcoming scenery work. Tried to score an AF 50 red combine on da bay, but betting got stupid crazy.
Sunny and a balmy 16 degrees today here in mid Michigan. Got a dusting of snow. Hard to say how much, 'cause the wind is blowing at about 15mph.
Been watching the robotics team yesterday and today on line. They ended up ranked 3rd at the end of the qualification rounds. We were the first team picked for the elimination alliances by the first ranked team. We ended up winning the event. This gets us qualified to compete in the world finals to be held later this year in Huston.
fifedogMornin' guys and gal(s). Snohizo and 29 in the Potomac Highlands. So far, it's the good snow that doesn't stick to the road. Will spend time in train room today.
Last night we had a monsoon here in the Richmond VA area, then this morning rain, then it turned into a sniveling hysterical day that couldn't make up its mind what kind of a day it wanted to be, and NOW we've got snow!
It's layering the cars and the deck but not the roads. Not going anywhere today anyway, it's too miserable out. I'm not even sure I want to go out to "The Chugger Barn," I'd have to run the heater for an hour to make it liveable.
Hang in there 'K!
Kev - might make it feel better. would ease the pain.
A quick look, I got back from Rockford Dr visit yesterday. Good news stitches are out and got the boot early so I can shower. Bad news no weight on it for 5 more weeks. Lots o metal parts in there.
Fife same here with the beer. 30 packs of High Life are still $12.98 at Walmart. But thei I have not had a beer since before all of this happy stuff hit me.
Here is the fun stuff. Me thinks I did it up but good.
No train fun till I can make the stairs to the basement.

Forgot to mention...stopped off at the DG for a gallon of milk. $4.19, same as gas. SILVER LINING, was cheaper. . The song was right, Almost heaven, West Virginia...
Been a while since I popped in- glad to hear everyone's been getting on ok.
A friend sent me my first repair job in months- it's tough trying to start doing train repairs I suppose, I need to work on getting my name out there... not a lot of hobby stores around, and the ones I know of already have their "repair guy". It wasn't anything 3-rail, but it was a fun, and challenging model to work on- an old Bowser PCC kit, for the curious. Luckily his model looked rough on the outside, but was in pretty good shape internally, with very little wear. It was a pain to get the gears back in after cleaning them up, but the car now runs just as nice as I'm sure it ever did. I'm really delighted he gave me the job, and it kept me busy for a few hours (much longer than I thought it'd keep me!)I just about finished up doing an experimental re-powering of my Lionel 0566 'Texas Special' ALCo FA- I want to test more, but at the least it is once more a working model. I salvaged a motor and parts from two 'junk' locomotives I had kicking around, to replace the original. It's a little noisy but it works- I may play with it more, but I'm off to a good start I think. The goal for me, is to have something period apropriate I don't feel nervous running for extended periods of time- I want an engine to pull my Lionel HO rollingstock, but after having encountered nothing but heat-damaged Lionel motors (blown armatures on all but one of the 4 I've handled so far), I'm nervous about how long it's safe to run an original piece without risking burning out a winding. Hopefully my solution plays out to be a winner.Turns out my Lionel 217 B&M is acting up again. I think at this point I need to bite the bullet and do the only thing left I can think of- tear into the E-Unit. I'm fairly confident this is where my lingering problems are, I just hate to pop it open since they're such a nuisance to reassemble. One of my brothers has been home the past week on break from college, he goes back Sunday but my other brother in college just started his week of vacation, so for a short while the gang's all home again! Been nice catching up with them, forgot just how much I missed their company.Hoping to make a trip out to a hobby shop this weekend to poke around for anything good, and possibly do some trading if the exchange rate is favorable. Take care all-Ellie

Flintlock76 Will definetly be looking out for that! Can't wait to see what his reaction will be! TheWaysideRailroader Looking forward to going to a train show this Saturday with a friend from work who isn't into the hobby, but thinks that the idea of the show is interesting. Wait until you see his eyes bug out when he walks into the show and gets a good look! It happened to a friend of mine I took to a train show who'd never been to one, it was as entertaining as the show itself! Then again, I think all of us were overwhelmed the first time we went to a train show!

Evenin' guys and gal(s). Sunny and 65 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Spent the day retrieving youngest princess from college, for Spring break. Did I mention that weather guessers are calling for a half foot of snow and frigid temps by this time tomorrow...? Either way, was a pleasant journey, with stops at Michael's, Lock 38 on the C&O canal, and dinner at Patrick's in Cumberland. You can see the CSX main from the restaurant, and from my booth, I watched CSX 3194 (Spirit of Law Enforcement) heading west as a DPU, on a double-stack train. I've been trying all week to video this unit... "At least you got to see it, Daddy..."

Hi guys, A quick check in, I am still kicking RT, Thanks for asking guys.
Looking forward to getting the stitches out of my ankle today. SIL is on the way here to get me for the trip to Rockford. I'll be getting a new cast and then in 2 weeks that one should come off and hopefully a boot. It is awful hard to not want to put weight on this foot especially as it gets better would have never thought it. Can't wait to get some mobility back. I'm almost like a prisoner in my own house.
Not much else till I get caught up with all of the posts.
Prayers for those who need them, That would be us all!
Flintlock76 TheWaysideRailroader Good Evening! Well, I haven't been doing very much today, just taking it easy and looking forward to going to a train show this weekend. (Haven't been to a show in a while) Welcome aboard! (If no-one's done so already!)

Why, thank you!
Today I recieved a Lionel Early Era Inspection Car I purchased from Ebay in the mail, and I spent most of the afternoon running it around the loop of fastrack on my planned layout!

Mostly cloudy and in the high 20's today in mid Mi today.
We drove up to our primary location in Mi yesterday to take care of some business and clean out our PO box.
I renewed my CTT subscription recently, so there were two new issues waiting for me. A Lionel catalog from Charles Ro was in there too. Quick flip through the catalog showed me lots of neat stuff that is out of my price range.
Anjdevil - that is good news. Glad she is doing well.
My concrete contractor showed up this week and broke up the old slab on the front porch project. Not surprising that the 100 year mortar joints in the concrete blocks supporting the slab did not survive. Got the brick and block mason coming next week for a consultation.
The local high school robotics team I have been mentoring is in Oklahoma for their first competition this week. I'll keep track of them on line. Today was setup and practice day. They passed tech inspection and ran some practice matches. Qualification rounds are tomorrow and the elimination rounds will be on Saturday. We have high hopes,
NOW the replies aren't working right either! Everything's going into a blue block!
I give up, let me see what's on YouTube to amuse me.
smokey1 Some fun, huh? The "Events" page under "Community" hasn't worked for a year, the PM failure seems to be the latest irritant. Flintlock76 Guess what, PM doesn't work. I clicked "Start Conversation" and I get a blank block! You-know-who's IT strikes again. I tried and got a blank page same thing when I tried to add you as a page.

Thanks, Smokey!! Yes, Ms. Jenni is here with me, doing better. Home nurse was here, approved of my abode and my set up for her. PT later this week, we hope.
WE got her home Monday afternoon, we got her a shower yesterday and she's walking with a walker, not far, but the seat lift chair and the stair chair help her quite a bit.
I'll get here when I can, work is crazy busy, so I'm juggling multiple balls, but I got it, I'll get in a rhythem and we'll be off and running!!!
smokey1 Oh, brother. Or maybe oh "Big Brother." Yeah, I'll PM you. Flintlock76 Good to hear Smokey, thanks! By the way, anyone hear from DJSpanky lately? I haven't seen him on the Forum recently. He got booted for posting a pic of a plane flying a banner to which we are not allowed to mention in here.
