Afternoon folks!
Sunny and mid-90's today. Haze from the "Sahara dust" - keeps temps down. We are having one of the coolest 1st half of July in the record books.
Dennis - agreed re the YT videos - some people just like to hear themselves talk.
Chief - hang in there!
Piddling with the El Cam dash install - a few minor electrical issues I am tracing down and need to optimize the main wiring harness placement for best fit. This will probably take several days at my current pace
Regards, Roy
81 and hot sun. Going to be another hot one. Possible showers this AM.Good night's sleep after Wifey got in at 12:20 from Wilmington. Wedding went great.Good morning resting up. Two slices of cheese toast and coffee. Shower and shave later. Take more breathing treatments [been a little slack on that]. Feel a lot better. If I could get this blood ox to stay up without aux. O2, I'd be good. Can't go out for long periods as heat and humidity hit you when you go out.Hope all have a great, safe and happy weekend.

Weather still decent - 90's and peasant breezes. Survived my 4 doc appts and one lab visit Wed and Thurs. Still under the weather a bit with the fatique - but docs said all is OK. Skin doc attack - I look like I was the loser in a Star Wars laser fight.
Prayers continue for those in need
You're doing the right thing, I'm sure your friend will more than appreciate your presence.
81 and sunny hot.Errand to run with Wifey driving.Daughter coming around 1 to babysit. Got retired director of Human Services coming round 2. She is riding with the Wake County Extension Director.Feel so so.That is it for today.
Mornin boys and gal(s). Sunny and 70 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Gotta mow the lawn before it gets too warm in a bit. Wifey babysitting today, so I'm thinking Subway for dinner.
We went to Hagerstown yesterday on a little shopping trip. Stopped by the Outlets for a pair of boots, couple of Nautical shirts, and Grandma had to go to Carter's, of course. Then Michael's to get my new print framed. Then Hobby Lobby for stuff. Then a very nice meal at Olive Garden. Came home and had nice phone chat with Buckeye.
Good Afternoon, I think it's still Thursday-----The heavens opened up and Thor was having a good time right after 5 Eastern - lasted until 7. I made my getaway to Jenni's for chicken dinner coated with crushed BBQ chips - it was great.Had some Carvel ice cream after dinner as a dessert.Prayers for Rocko....and Chief!!!90s again today, humidity up there somewhere, should be uncomfortable, but hey, I can't shovel sunshine, and I HATE shoveling snow....
Should be drill night - I'm gonna 2 wheel it, I think!!
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Chief, hang in there, sounds like you getting there!
Boy from dry as toast to wet as a swamp. No middle ground. At least my grass I planted is looking good. If it don't get waashed away. 2.7" in two days, at least I got the grass cut first.
Got my teeth cleaned and am good for another 6 months. Oldest birthday is next Tuesday so I got him a part he needed for his 1975 Triumph and have it in the mail to him. It should fix his oil leak issue. No word on the SIL's surgery recovery or Rocko so I guess they are doing better.
Not much else, be good.
77 and sunny. Woke up at 6:15 AM from a dream I was healed. Then felt the best I had since starting treatments. Out the door to hospital for chest x-ray. blood work and injections. Full day.Have a good one.
Morning boys and girl(s). Sunny & 68 in the Potomac Highlands. Peaceful night's sleep. Hoping the Chief had the same. Had nice chat with FifePup last night.
After taco boats for dinner, headed to the train room to continue working on the new scenery. Spent a couple hours with glue gun in hand, forming cardboard earthworks and bomb proofs. Will post a pic or two on SPF.
80 degrees with heat index around 100. Slept good last night. Back to the can't hardly stay awake morning. Drinking lots of sweet ice tea with lemon.Watching some TV. Dr. phone conference at 11:00. Not satisfied with lung advancement. Coughing up yucky stuff a lot.Hope all have a great day ahead.
Mornin' guys and gal(s). Sunny and pleasant along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Another rough night with FifeMax, not due to weather, but apparently he had a digestive "issue" at 0300... Woof.
Yesterday was humid, bigly. Weeded out a large yard bag full, and it looked like I walked through a waterfall. Did start on the next section of the layout; Fort Mulligan.
Good Morning!!Lots to catch up on - Looks like everyone had a great weekend....Rained heavily going to and from Carlisle, we took the PATP going out and up 81 to 78 going home - we were limited to 45 in the heavy rain which made the trip longer.2,929 showed up and it was definitely more crowded than last year. We caught up with just about everybody - It was a great time.Rained Monday and yesterday, more rain later today. Up to 80.Good Progress, Chief - Prayers continue.Nice to see Fife and Mr and Mrs Buckeye together.....looks like it was a good time!!Banks - Prayers that your son finds employment soon - that does really suck.....
1 year ago yesterday, I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend Jenni - still waiting for that 1st argument....lol
I took the bike to Jenni's and surprised her with a card and roses. Roast Beef dinner with corn on the cob. Home by midnight. It was SO HUMID the sky was lit up like it was snowing - it was a damp ride home, the windscreen was wet and the bottom of my jeans were wet.Not much on the agenda for today. Off to work
KRM Rocko as far as I know now, after many hours of surgery yesterday, they stitched what was left of the middle finger back on. Not sure what they did on the ring finger. Everything was pulled backwards in the machine when it caught his glove. They are not sure it will get the needed blood to heal and it may yet need to be removed. It will never function as it did. So that is still TBD. They also removed skin from his leg to replace the skin pulled off the back of the hand. Not yet sure what they will do with the broken bones. There was a delay in surgery because he and Dan’s sister are not married so his parents had to get there to approve? Damn liability, lawsuits and lawyers. That delay did not help.

It's amazing what they can do now. I worked with an engineer who had lost one hand and the other was a mis mash of both his hands. He got one hand caught in a paper machine and tried to save it with the other. This was +/- 30 years ago. They've only gotten better.

Oy. Hopefully he'll be okay. A different kind of okay, to be sure. I'll keep you all in my prayers!
Same me, different spelling!
Hello there,
Kev.....Prayers for Rocko. Hope he does well . My dad lost the middle 3 fingers on his left hand in '64. He could lift more with his little finger than most men with good hands.
Went to the dirt drags Saturday. Son had an off night and went out early. Off and on thunderboomers Sunday. Hot, humid with showers all week. Yesterday a dental cleaning. Today a follow up with my hearing aids. Then a visit to BILs new place. Moved into a senior living apartment in a former hospital. Very nice place. Prayers for those in need
ChiefEaglesDid watch [through eye lids] Barn Wood Builders. Living Off The Grid next. Then sleep.
Chief, have you ever watched the Mike Holmes shows like "Holmes on Homes" or "Holmes Makes It Right?" Man, are they fun! Trust me!
The stuff he finds wrong with houses will have you scratching your head in disbelief!
Sunny and 95 today -
Still taking it easy - been dealing with a lotta fatique the past few days - but still on the upwards mend!
Spent a lot of time this am filling out on-line forms for doc visits - better than doing it in the office!
Kev - ouch - prayers for the young man
Chief - keep takin it easy!
Slow this AM but feel OK. Can't stay awake. I'm guessing that the new nausea meds is making me sleepy.Wake up and drink some sweet ice tea with lemon. Back to sleep. Did watch [through eye lids] Barn Wood Builders. Living Off The Grid next. Then sleep.Hope all are OK.
DJSpanky Some heavy thunderstorms, maybe got three quarters of inch of rain out of it. We'll see what happens today.
Spank, if you're not using those thunderstorms could you send some down here? We got some rain last week but it's just not enough.
V8Vega Fifemax I'm on my 2nd border Collie, I love a active dog and I think they are the most active of all. Both go absolutly nuts with fireworks.

We've had eight Basset Hounds. All but one slept through fireworks and thunderstorms. A local earthquake too, for that matter!
Bassetts only get excited about important things, like food!

Saw that, "diagrua's" opened a topic on it. I've already e-mailed Menards with a suggestion, they ARE looking for feed back.

I expected Menards was going to get in the "power" business, it was just a question of when.
Prayers for Rocko and his family! Some advice to all of you still working out there, be careful, please!
Mornin' boys and girls. 71 and humid as all-get-out along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Rough night, as had FifeMax in a tizzy. We love this 9 yr old Border Collie, but he certainly has cured us...
Pretty sure I'm going to be a grumpypus all day...
fifedog Best regards for Rocko. That's rough. MENARD'S is dipping their toe in the engine market, by introducing a 3-rail F3 in Santa Fe.
