Hello there. Thanks for all your support.

Still in UPMC Bedford. Only way to keep O2 over 90 is to  be on 4 litres of O2. I get a bag of remdesivir and half dozen bags other antibiotics each day. Beentold I'll.  Be here til my O2 stays on 90 with no help.

Nice here, cool and overcast. I like it.

DJ, you got to tell Tyler deer seldom ever travel alone, bucks at times but does, hardly ever. So don't wast time looking at the first one look for the others to come. But then he knows that now. Smile, Wink & Grin

Roy, I use Seymour 16-048, $11.78 a can, this is it. I think 16-2668 may be a new number. It is a flat cast look. From looking at their site looks like 16-048 is good to go in CA. Like I care about that. Laugh

Afternoon/morning all!

HOT yet again - but a cool front on Monday will supposedly drop us to low 90's. OK

Got the smog pump and hoses installed on the El Cam - Started her up and no issues so far. Have to do some additional work on the vacuum control line to the AIR pump diverter switch assembly. Jury rigged a vacuum check valve as I cannot find the right size. Looks like a local NAPA store has one that I will go check out later. Vacuum lines/accessory gear for older vehicles has been the hardest part of putting this vehicle back together. It uses 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" lines which used to be common at all auto parts stores. 3/16" (4mm) easy to find. The others not so (1/4" fuel line is what I have to use but it is very stiff and hard to install). Windshield install confirmed for Monday morning! Just a few more vacuum items to piddle with.

DJ - nice score with the DMV appt for Tyler. Yeah it sucks to hit a living thing with a vehicle. Also have to be careful to not wreck a car to avoid a chicken in the road - true incident while I was riding in a university station wagon on a business outing.

KEV - what is the part number of the cast iron paint? The Amazon and even their home site decriptions are all over the place and I do not want the Aluminum version (seems to be confused for the cast iron version). Here is an example:

https://www.amazon.com/Seymour-16-2668-Automotive-Specialties-Paint/dp/B000EM0180/ref=pd_sbs_1/132-5797107-4329559?pd_rd_w=7Uu7O&pf_rd_p=0f56f70f-21e6-4d11-bb4a-bcdb928a3c5a&pf_rd_r=PAGC0YDFMFCBTS3QEEB3&pd_rd_r=e12b898e-5ce1-44be-a2e9-ef6c2d0d980a&pd_rd_wg=Dusv5&pd_rd_i=B000EM0180&psc=1

Says it is cast iron and then description states "high gloss chrome like aluminum finish".

Good Morning and End of July

Weather sorta reminds me of September - 55 right now going to 81

Took the bike over to Jenni's and indulged on Arby's Roast Beef.

We did her hours for work, watched a bit of the USMC 8th & I evening program and started laundry.  Was home by midnight - It was a bit chilly on the ride home, but nice.

Afterwork, we're planning on church, then heading toward the shore to pick up some parts for the Super Bee - that will be for Monday's extravaganza.

Not planning to do much on Sunday, have to pick up a trimmer at HD later and will probably do yard work for a bit tomorrow.  Nothing else on the horizon.

I've gotten the green light to go to York on Friday - I will submit my time off for Oct 22 if yuz giz are going......It will be a day trip, maybe see my BF and God Daughter

FINALLY got the update on the Fiesta - Ford will contribute $200 (on a $600 repair, gee, thanks) but the dealership will do my service for free and get me at about $400 total, so I approved the repairs and SHOULD get the car back by Tuesday.

Magnum is still on the lift - I'm not pressuring him, he does good work and I brought my own parts. So when he calls, I'm good with it. I still have exhaust to do and a windshield.

I'll be doing "performance paint" on the hood (satin black), since the clear coat is peeling off. When it comes back to me......

Spank/Tyler - There is nothing you can do to control wildlife - I have hit my share, I hate it, but it just happens -

Chief - good update - glad you are feeling better!!

Prayers for Banks !!

Becky - More like Prog Rock?  Yeah - I like it!!!

Kev - Good Luck on the Scooter!!

OK - off to work - been crazy - took me an hour just to post this.....

Woke up feeling good. Slept with CPAP on. Went back to bed and CPAP seemed to be hindering my breathing. Maybe me no needs CPAP anymore due to weight loss. ? Blood ox low when I got up. OK now.

Tongue is sore. Meds I'm sure. Some good coffee while Wifey cooks breakfast. She went by gro that has a butcher shop. got lots of good cut meats. Including butcher cut bacon. Now cooking bacon [house smells great], eggs and cheese grits.

Nothing on agenda.

Have a good one.

Mornin' guys and gal(s). Sunny and 58 along the Allegany front range. Pleasant weather lately. Off this weekend, so maybe spend some time in train room. Mowed lawn yesterday, then cut the entrance to our neighborhood, and picked up trash (HOA kinda thing).

My buddy Tom notified me that the Bunker Hill train show, in Ranson, was cancelled due to "air conditioning" issue. I've been to that venue, and it seems to me they could have overcame that issue... And the weather is gorgeous on the panhandle today. Go figure. Me, I'm hoping for York, and Altoona, perhaps.

Speaking of, Banks, got an update for us?

My sympathies to Tyler Spank.  That's tough.

The thing is, with rising deer populations all over he's not the first and he won't be the last.  Small consolation I know.

I saw a post on the Route 80 Rant Page last December:

"Man, there's dead deer all over the highway!  It looks like Santa Claus crashed his sled!"

Morning all!

Another HOT one today! 99 with a 195 degree heat index!

Got the AIR injection manifolds and check valves installed on the El Cam exhaust headers. That took over 2 hours - Eight 1 in long flare nuts that you can only wrench about 1/8th of a turn at a time. Whew - glad that is over. The AIR pump pulley and bracket are in the Evaporust and looking good - will clean them and paint today. Try to install this afternoon. Working on the hoses and fittings - will have to make a trip to the auto parts store. So far so good!

Banks - that stinks - prayers on fast recovery!

Chief - continued prayers!

KEV - neat project - I better understand why the gas tank is not an easy removal. Good luck! The Evaporuct will create a lot of solids/debris in the tank so draining/cleaning will be a bit challenging. The nice thing about the Evaporust is you can just keep using it (when dirty) until it looses effectiveness. So keep it when you drain it from the tank. I let the solids settle in extra plastic jugs and then use an old cotton rag to strain the last of it. I will check out that paint you mention!

Regards, Roy

WOW Banks, that is tough. That bug is smarter than all of us. And some of us ain't helping to beat it at all? Get better, friend, you did the best you could or could be asked for! Angel

Looks like we will be back on the mask thing again here as well. People are getting sick all over the place, the nonbelievers mostly. Go figure? Tongue Tied

Cooled off and humidity fell a lot. 80 today will feel like winter. I got to hand it to that overpriced Dense shade grass seed I got,,,at least it works! $80.00 for 20lb is steep!

Ordered the Evapo-Rust, rust remover from Amazon today $34.60 for two gallons, not bad. I also ordered a can of Seymour Cast Blast paint to replace the one I used up. Love that stuff Roy. It is great on resto projects like your doing.

Not much else going on here. Moose for carry out dinned tonight! Dinner

Good Morning!!

Prayers for Banks and Chief......

Chief - sounds just like when Dad was getting his chemo - Benedryl and all.  BP was always low.

Banks - I hope you "escape" soon!

Becky - Band? DO tell!!

Big storms rolled through here, I was actually "trapped" on my street, was flooded on both ends, missed 7 separate incidents with flooding, trapped in cars all that.  2 tornadoes close by.  Everybody is OK, no issues.  Flooding has receded as of this morning. 80s and lower humidity later.

Hoping for an easy day - end of month is always a clusterf**k......

That's all from here - back later

Mornin' guys and gal(s). We kinda dodged the storms, and got some nice rain. Front yard needs a quickie trim.

My buddy Tom called last night. He got caught in a hour+ backup Sunday, due to a 10-50PI, with a double fly out on 70. Woof. He also asked if I was attending the train show in Ranson, WV tomorrow. I don't feel like driving 1.75 hrs to go to what traditionally has been a small show. We'll see.

Angel for those in need.

Angel for an end to all the nonsense goin' on...

Special prayers for Banks.  Peumonia was what put me down.  You can do it Banks.

77 and fair. Chance of rain later due to front coming through.

Fred did a good job at the farms yesterday. Sprayed a lot. One Stealth camera had water in it. Will retrieve it and send it back. Now have two extras here. [Midway had a great sale on them. Stocked up.]

Feel great. [knock n wood] Yesterday's treatment was a zoo. Great nurse. That helped.

Hope all have a great day with some happy times.

WOW Banks, I thought you had the shots? If so you have a better chance. This new strain is bad. Angel Hang in there Chief!!! Yes

As for me,

I started looking at the Moped project. (1963 or 1964 Montgomery Ward Riverside,,,best I can tell after looking at all the info I could find) I got this from a friend in the mid 90s. I had it running back then. It has been sitting since. So today our neighbor Butch came by with a cool probe camera and we looked into the fuel tank. Found a lot of rust that we figured on but also found small rocks stuck in the rust from someone, at sometime trying to clean the rust out of the tank. We tried to make it fire but only got a fart from it. So I guess I will order the rust remover for the tank and also clean the carb and try it again. Last it ran was late mid to late 90s? I changed the front wheel today with one that had a good tire. I had extra and gave it a good looking over, adjusting things along the way. It would be nice to get it running again. As Grand-pa McCulley always said, Kevin, don't ever finish all your projects because if you do,,,,you won't have anything to do. This one may take me to the end!!! Thank GOD I put AC in the shed!!!!

Not much else from the North Bluff!

Here is the old tire and wheel.

Long day. Blood draw at 9:10, Dr. at 10:15 and chemo at 10:45. Left chemo room at 4:45.   Had extra meds including long term nausea med [I reacted too]. A strong dose of Benadryl. Reason for not leaving until late. Benadryl. Blood pressure was really low and I would not wake up.   Also, had not eaten all day.

Now to watch TV [probably from behind eyelids].

Dr. overjoyed with my progress. Getting new pants as old ones fall off without belt. With belts, "tucks" and "pleats" everywhere.
