anjdevil - Rich, check out chesapeakebeachresortspa.com when you get a chance. Oldest Princess wedding was there, and the hotel was excellent. The town is what Ocean City would have looked like a century ago. Very quaint. There's an old train station on the complex. Even without a honeymoon, would make a great getaway.
Hello there,
Kev.....corn is behind here do to cold wet spring.
Spent the last couple of days dealing with the heat, farming and slowly starting on the house while trying to catch up on yard work. Son brought the combine Monday. While changing the settings from beans to grains found the works jammed with black walnuts. Took a couple of hours to get about 5 gallons out of it. Squirrels must have been busy last winter. Yesterday son baled while I caught bales with the loader. Saves time, he dosen't have to run to a place they won't roll away. Got 46 bales. Today I lined the dump trailer with feed bag to keep it from leaking while son started to combine. Got about 3/4 done before he had to go to work. Rich......if you go to OC MD check out Seaside Hobbies. About 15-20 minutes north in DE. Nice little place, 100% trains. Time to see about supper.
Prayers for those in need.

DJ,
As far as I know it was Partial meniscectomy surgery to remove the damaged part of the meniscus. I also think they cleaned behind the knee cap, he is only 36.
Man bad week, $535 to get the HVAC fixed and $306 for the Gator.
79 and cloudy. The "storm" is suppose top pass through NC. How much rain???? Busy day. Lots of visitors. Out for fried catfish for lunch. Doing better without aux. O2.

Morning and rain. Off to the hospital for chemo [I guess. Think I have improved a lot since Dr. last saw me.]Enjoy the day.
Mornin' boys. Overcast and 73 in the Potomac highlands. Elsa would have impressed me more if the Gulf had frozen over... Already home from doctor check-up and blood draw. Still need to drop the tonnage I'm hauling around. (Feel free to insert wife jokes here; I ain't)
Successfully fixed the leaking pipe, and cabinet.
Headed up mountain in a bit for fishing, and helping Dad.
Overcast, cooler, but humid. HVAC made it over the night, a good thing!
Chief, glad your doing better, what did you decide on the truck?
Banks, that is the kind of start we had last year, corn was only getting a good start last year at this time.
Fife, I put on 18lb over the last 15 months. I don't even know how to try to loose weight, been spending most my life trying to gain weight.
Home. Wifey says over 5" of rain. Probably so as folks kept coming into hospital talking about how had it was raining.Lost another 3 lbs. All blood things were fine. Finally got chemo and infusion. Got a call yesterday from Humana says they had approved the appeal. I chewed --- over appealing treatment for cancer. Well, got to Dr. today and she had not gotten approval. She called and so did their financial. Humana was passing them around and around. I finally called and got the auth. # myself. Then called admin with State health Plan. They were not happy. So, due to delays I finally got my treatments late. Was the last to leave.Rest for a while.
Having to put up with that kind of crap is rediculous.

Good point, especially if the student's blown his or her money on a useless degree.
Pass this on to any teenagers you know going off to college:
There's only one reason for college, to get a red-hot education so you can make a red-hot living when you graduate. Any other reason is BS. If the school's not giving you what you need finish the term and find another.
And remember, after you graduate and they've got your money they don't want to know you. In another four years they'll have forgotten you existed.
85 already. Sun I bet is hitting it. Showers later. Enough rain for those north of us.Sleeping too good. Can't wake up for any period of time. Wifey just announced bologna, egg and cheese sandwich.
DJSpankyI also heard that Japan is not going to allow spectators for the Olympics? Scared of the Delta variant apparently. Um, there's a solution for that: get vaccinated
I was surprised to hear how low the vac rate is in that regimentally civic-minded country, only 17%.
Same me, different spelling!
I hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend.
Hello there, Latest news is son is no longer an employee of Chief's favorite RR. 102 positions cut from the Juniata Shop today, over 300 since February of '20. Consensus among employees I know is they are running their locomotives into the ground. Band aid repairs to keep them running. Not doing preventive maintenance. Gonna come back to bite them. Praying he'll find a good job. Lots o' jobs out there at much lower wage. Other than that been getting some needed rain and shopping for a Medicare supplement for Mrs. She turns 65 next month. Joe......bummer on the plane. Had that happen with a drone I was trying to figure out for grandson. Eyelids are getting heavy. Prayers for those in need
Ready to head to hospital for MRI. 73 degrees and sunny.Hope today brings more healing. Breathing getting better.Banks, that is not good. Hope that turns around soon.
Mornin' guys and gal(s). Chamber of Commerce kind of weather in the Potomac Highlands. Perfect day for any dignitaries traveling through.
Morning, Birthday party for the youngest grandchild Jordan today, 8 years old already. Looks like it will be a wash out. Daughter already trimmed it way down because the SIL is hurting from his surgery. Thought he was Superman first day after and is paying for it now. So I have to pick up the slack.
Banks, Sorry about your son, how many years did he have? Maybe he will be recalled? There were times I felt like I spent more years out of Cat than at work.
Boy, Joe sure don't have much to say since he retired from the military?
Hang in there Chief.
Got to get ready to go.
Evening folks!
A nice warm day with some sprinkles and then sunshine.
Otherwise just checking in! Have a great evening all!
Regards, Roy
Spent from 10 AM to 12 noon in MRI. Then Wifey took me by for two Snoopy's hotdogs. Came home by way of Home Goods [I sat in car] and Food Lion [I sat in car]. Finally by Sam's Club where I pumped gas. Been resting most of the afternoon. Was really thirsty all afternoon. Nurse said drink a lot to get contrast out.Now back to couch.
86 and cloudy. Popup showers and thunder.Cathy came while Rodney [SonIL] mowed. Good visit. Wifey, sister and her hubby gone to Smithfield shopping.Had a slow start this AM. Chicken noodle soup and a nap and feel a lot better.Hope all have and great and safe week ahead.Back to the couch and TV.
Evenin' boys and girls. Breezy and 90 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Had the day off, but am dog-sittin', because the kinfolk headed to Baltimore to visit Oldest Princess. I actually did some railfanning and antique shopping. Found an old lead cowboy on horse figure (no markings) that looks to be O gauge. Stopped by the WM station when I heard my former ride coming. Good to see some of old faces; hugs and well-wishes. Took a little video of them heading west. Yesterday, I had the honor of being Mr and Mrs Buckeye's conductor. They were riding in style up in 1st class, and we had a good time getting all caught up. I look forward to a visit to Snohizo in the future. I'm enjoying my new gig.
Morning folks!
Partly sunny, some rain in forecast, low 90's - ahhhh summer!
Still taking things easy here - tidying up some work areas - nice to just relax!

Mornin' boys and girls. 71 and humid as all-get-out along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Rough night, as had FifeMax in a tizzy. We love this 9 yr old Border Collie, but he certainly has cured us...
Pretty sure I'm going to be a grumpypus all day...

Saw that, "diagrua's" opened a topic on it. I've already e-mailed Menards with a suggestion, they ARE looking for feed back.

I expected Menards was going to get in the "power" business, it was just a question of when.
Prayers for Rocko and his family! Some advice to all of you still working out there, be careful, please!
