Woke up at 6:30 to a Turkey gobbling outside the window.
Just a big circle guys 30 years from now they will be running like He!! from NC for reasons like "Lunitic goverment, overbearing shut downs, difficult to get the shots, homeless everywhere, highest poverty and taxes, kids denied school or whatever" to the next promise land. Not worth the worry.
Sure could use some rain, only .6" in 7 weeks? Hot for us, mid 80s today. Most farmers are already with planting. Way early!
Wife is getting her second shot now!

ChiefEaglesYes, all those folks moving to NC. Just picked up another congressional seat. States up north lost seats.
Voting with their feet, man. There comes a point where endurance ceases to be a virtue.
73 [already] and sunny.
Later.

Morning all
Hope everyone is well. Spent Sunday cleaning out the attic in dad's house. No treasure just a lot of dusty stuff. Something my parent kept is a mystery. Then again I'm sure my kids will say the same about me.
Getting into the 80s today in Western PA. Green Tea in the cup. Ready for the weekend. LOL!
Stay safe!

Good evening all,
Ever since my last Friday post, I have not been able to post. I talked to the Chief and he recommended a course of action which is being implemented. Finally got signed into using Chrome instead of Firefox. Go figure. Trimmed the yard. Tired. Will mow tomorrow. Just glad to be able to communicate here. Sunny day here. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

V8VegaDescribe a electric go cart a little more. I heard Honda plans to no more gas engines by 2040. I read on another forum that all the manufactors are developing and plans for electric cars replacing gas.
I'll be dead by 2040 anyway, so I could care less, but is anyone asking just WHERE all the electricity to power ALL those electric vehicles is going to come from?
The ignorance of people, too many people, is downright disheartening. They take way too much for granted.
Flint - I saw Deathg Race 2000 --- it is a classic - too bad Tarantino sucks as a director --- lol!!
The Stewarts is actually a block away - so there is much temptation....

Hey all!
Partly sunny and warm today - 80? Enjoying it after a couple weeks of way below temps.
Slow day again - so takin it easy. Still working on going through boxes and cabinets in the garage-shop/garden shed trying to sort, reduce, and throw stuff out.
Regards, Roy
A bear visited overnight, but was camera shy. Tom headed back home this morning, and I'm slowly turning back the clock to 1911 in the train room.
anjdevil2 we had a quick Stewarts dinner
Holy jeez, you've got a Stewart's in the neighborhood? Cool! We used to have one on Route 17 in Paramus years and years ago, long gone now.
"Death Proof" sucks? You'd love "Death Race 2000," so stupid it's classic!
ChiefEagles I'm sure the "leaders" gave away the "bank" to get Apple to come. [sorry Ohio the competition]
You know how it is Chief, business goes where it's made most welcome. That was always the case and always will be. When it's made unwelcome, you get things like "The Rust Belt." That didn't happen "Just because."
Good morning and Happy Hemi Day (4/26) !!!https://youtu.be/PN-uFY3hj_ESaturday night we had Jenni's cousins, and some friends from our car club come up and we had a quick Stewarts dinner then headed to Speedway racing. We spent most of the night doing the arcade and racing some no joke electric go karts. My Princess met up with us and spent some time with her!! About midnight, we left for a quick bite at a diner.Sunday some of the family came over and we had cake and chicken parm, eggplant rollitini and lasagna. We ended the night with the movie Death Proof - only because it had a 69 Charger and a 70 Challenger. Sadly, the cars we the only stars....It did suck.....60s and wind today, sunny now. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!! It was a marvelous weekend!! Yeah, Laz, that announcement car was my present to myself !!! LOL!!Roy - I had not heard of issues with the 3.6/3.2 L Valve train, but it doesn't suprise me. Dodge has had valvtrain issues since the 3.3L days (ask me how I know that....lol)Off to work - I might get to softball on time, but we'll see!!2nd anniversary of our 1st date. Appropriate that it's 4/26 (and we were at a rained out AA Yankee team game).
Sunny and 67 degrees already. Slept late and good.
Enjoy the day.
Happy Birthday Rich/Anj!
Sunny and 80 today with a nice breeze - ahhhhh!
Finishing up the push button timer relay project - took a couple hours to build the prototype/validate operation. So far it has taken 6 hours to document it so the shop can build it. Build prints with schematic/functional wiring diagram/internal photos...ugh.
Had dinner over at friends/neighbors last night. Nice time and conversation.
Daughter and SIL on track for house closing May 13.
Its all good!
Dousnotta - I have not heard of one...
Watching some NASCAR Talladega - Watched the Indy Car race earlier...
66 and partly sunny [big billowing clouds flying out of here]. Slept till 7:30. Could have slept later but we now go to 9 AM Church.Left Church and went to the gro in Raleigh [was close by]. Then Dunk'n Donuts. Wifey wanted Taco Bell. Ate outside at the umbrella table at the Train Box. Watched the birds at feeders and going in and out of their bird houses.
Mornin' boys. Damp and 50 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Waiting for the cook to make us pancakes and bacon. Waiting... Cook --->
No itinerary today, but will prob dvr Talladega. No sign of bears lately, so they must be in Roseyville...
Had a nice trip to Mario's Trains. Picked up hopper for nephew's birthday, and a tractor flat for the curly-top for Christmas. JonAdel would be proud.
Also picked up a matching Cracker Barrel rocker for Wifey, so now she has her furniture for the front porch she's decorating. Returned to Fifedom to drop off our goodies, then headed to Patrick's in Cumberland for wings and yeungs. Ate outside to enjoy passing CSX action.
Roy, me thinks I smell a class action lawsuit maybe.
A GREAT day at the museum yesterday, two PS3 engines and one PS2 plus three TMCC engines. NO CONTROL ISSUES AT ALL ! Everything ran flawlessly.

Had my fried chicken gizzards, cabbage and fried okra. Lots of sweet ice tea.Master bedroom clean !!! Pulled everything out and cleaned behind and under. Chest of drawers pulled out. They are big. Just fits into old closet in there with doors and trim removed along with short sections of wall on each side. Makes it a nook. I installed an a light switch, pot light and outlet so TV and etc. can sit on top. OH!, it had lots of dust and etc. Can't get vacuum hose in and under but so far. Some purging. Wifey quit. She is on bed watching reruns of Downton Abbey on Netflix. Next will be living room.59 ands light rain. Been chasing squirrels out of feeders. One of those days. They are learning to run when I come out. Pellet pistol they don't like.Later.
Afternoon!
Huge rain storm last night - flooded the back yard and porch - and refilled the pool (nice)! Warming up this week - to the 80's and beyond!
Spent ALL of yesterday morning with son to get his second COVID shot - whatta mess as compared to the times we went previously. Anyhoo it is done...!
Did not mention we had son's '12 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in the shop this past week. Rocker arm failure (really?) at 100K miles on a cylinder on the driver's side. Google Jeep or Chrysler 3.2L or 3.6L rocker arm failure and holy hooha see what comes back. Stupid design and they used it (and continue to use it) in bunches of their vehicles (i.e. Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep) for many years and have never fixed the design. Short story - do not buy anything with the Chrysler 3.2 or 3.6L V6 (dual overhead cams) - not a question of if the the rocker arms will fail - but when...$1300 to replace rockers on one bank of the engine. They (and others) do not recommend replacing them if they have not failed - as new ones may fail in just a few thousand miles or may go the limit. So we left the passenger side bank alone - the tech did pull the valve cover and check the rockers. If one fails - the repair is extensive enough one needs to replace all of them on one side since both cams must be removed to access. First time ever with a dealership on an out of warranty repair where the repair is warrantied for 2 years (and unlimited miles) vs 90 days! That tells you something. We were fortunate that it made 100K miles...picked up the vehicle yesterday afternoon. This turkey was introduced in 2011 so at the time (early 2012) the reliability issues had not surfaced.
At some point Chrysler started using their own engines in Jeeps vs the Jeep designs - so older Jeep engines tend to be very reliable/bulletproof - not anymore...
Dennis - good dog!
Morning. 58 and cloudy. Makes it chilly. Possible rain this afternoon. Slept good and until 8:30. Left shoulder blade muscle giving me a fit now.Wifey and I may do some super house cleaning in a couple of rooms.Off The Hook seafood restaurant has fried chicken gizzards today. Late lunch there to miss the crowd.
Bears. We have on the farm. Two killed across the road from my woods. Female liked 29 lbs being state record. This one was this week.
Mornin' boys. Sunny & 36 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Calling for rain after 5. My buddy Tom arrived yesterday afternoon, with crab cakes . We adjourned to the train room, where he was highly impressed with the progress I have made since November. It's been diesel days on the layout, and he brought his pair of Maryland Midland GP38's. I'm prepping a new YouTube video for the occasion.
We're heading to Winchester, VA, for some Mario's Trains time. CSX runs behind the store, so maybe we'll get a little run-by action as well.
A very good day. Resolved several major issues. Lucas is staying over on way to see his daughter. Binge watched Falcon and Winter Soldier. Weather was milder and dry. I hope everyone has a good day.
Hello there, Doug......congas on 32 years Back from da beach. A pretty uneventful trip other than a 20-30 minute back up from a crash. Couldn't believe the traffic for mid day Friday. Would have been nicer to stop at York, the original game plan. We had a pretty good week. The one day of steady rain and a couple of cold windy days. We visited Assateague a couple of times, usually watching the bay while sitting in the car. Ate takeout twice at Raynes Reef, a retro soda/grill in Berlin Md. Visited Toy Town Antiques in Snow Hill Md. Came away with an early Lionel HO boxcar. Son doubled the beef herd while we were away. Bought 4 feeders at the livestock auction Wednesday. Now need to find buyers for the 4 that are ready to butcher. A shower and bed soon. Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic.

Morning all.
Well they came and measured for carpet for my train room. So I guess it'll be about a month before they actually come to install it ( home depot is like 2 months lag time, not sure on Lowes. Will find out when they call to have me order it.
Still on the bench as to how wide I want to make the layout and if I really want to do 20' in length. I'm still thinking of a second-level 7' wide by the withe as I'm thinking of putting my prewar M10000 up there.
Not best pic of it but on the second shelf down
It requires O-72 curves.
Flintlock76 smokey1 Flintlock76. Many, many, many moons ago I was deer hunting and I disturbed a bear, I emptied my .44 mag into his chest, he was toast. My cousin who I was hunting with came running. I just have to ask, are bears good to eat? And don't tell me they taste like chicken. PS: How fast did you fire those rounds off?

I didn't really care for it. It was okay but very grizzly meat.
And no it didn't taste like chicken or probably ate more of it. Cousin kept the skin and made it into a rug.
As fast as I could pull the trigger, at that time probably fairly fast as I was like 20/21 years old then.
Good Morning and TGIF!!Had ladder drill last night and worked on the ladder truck and pumping water to the ladder. Was very windy and cold, so I stayed behind the truck to stay out of the wind.Had a quick bite, watched a little of the FDNY guys on Facebook live talk about fire attack and ops. Very interesting.Headed over to Jenni's for a while and was home by 11. She's on portrait 1 of 6. Progress is good. Will be working on my annulment paperwork tonight, Jenni's is in process with the church. She'll be doing her portraits.43F now and sunny - supposed to get to 60F today, so we'll see.
Another Town Hall meeting with the company - this should be interesting.
Morning. 55 and climbing. Not as cold last night as yesterday morning so I hear. Slept till 8:30 and Wifey's friend Gail called. She is doing good after her fall compared to what could have been. [she is a very tall big lady] Fall is why Wifey didn't go to GA.
Getting ready for PT. Will uncover things when I get home.
Weather was better today. Maybe good news about race tickets. When I see the checkered flag fall at the end of May, maybe I will believe it. I hope everyone has a good day.
