ChiefEagles

Away we go for another year.

I've only been around since 08. Hard to believe it's been that long. Made a lot of friends here.

Morning all.  Hope everyone is as well as can be expected.  PA moved up my eligibility for the vaccine to the 12th of April so I'm getting that appointment lined up.

Played with the trains a bit last evening.  Nothing big just a few laps around the loop.

Stay safe.  Nice cold day in here in Western PA.

Morning all!

Any coffee I like?  That's usually Maxwell House French Roast, although ocasionally I'll  brew up Eight O' Clock coffee for nostalgia, makes the place smell like Grandma's house used to!

Although I was a bit annoyed when Eight O' Clock updated the bag to a more modern look.  Dammit, some things shouldn't change!

Was absent yesterday as Jenni was not feeling well......I sat with her and we watched the home opener of the Yankees.  Lost 3-2 in 10.

Freaking COLD this morning 29F and still windy.  At least it's Sunny!!

Got some shopping done for Jenni she's going to bake a Pizza Rustica if she feels better on Sunday Morning.  I'll be at Mom's house cooking.

Manahawkin --- lol

24 oz. of Bada Bean Cawfee this morning......up and at 'em (Jersey Style...lol look it up the commercials are hilarious...)

Back at work today, hoping to get outta here on time but we'll see.

Back later

4 shots in muscle in left shoulder blade area. 2 1/2 months of hurting and now done.  Relief finally. Dr. said in a knot.  New bumper to install on new mower.  Track work in Train Box.  BTW: MTH not shipping anymore of their Realtrax switches.  Not at dealer.  Sorry.  Will start switching some out to Fasttrac.  Middle finger to Mike's Trash House.

Afternoon folks!

Sunny and cool breezes today. Continued warming for the weekend. First Easter weekend in years where weather will not be terrible. All the immediate family has been vacinated at least once so we are hosting Easter 'brunch'. Filets will be charcoal grilled by son! BIL has been moved to a new facility and even though vacinated, they said if he leaves he cannot come back - but we can visit???? So he will not be able to attend - which I think would have been good for him. The daughters now have med power of attourney and when the current facility releases him he will be moved to a group home near us and the oldest daughter. We will be able to visit him there and will also be able to take his dog - which we will be keeping unless he is ever able to live independently again?

Happy Easter all!

Regards, Roy

Good evening all,

One would think after all these years, I would not be astounded by the incompetency of bureaucrats.  A recent memo was sent late on Thursday (before a 3 day weekend) detailing some major policy changes.  The idiot sending "apologized" for it being so late in the day and week, but anyone with a lick of sense knows he just did not a d--- about anybody.  The really sad part is he may actually think anyone will believe he is sincere.  Ugh.   Guys are supposed to finish the shed Saturday.  I have my doubts.  Still no CTT, MR or Trains.  You have to wonder.  Question for anyone... why do they call it March Madness when it ends in April?....asking for a friend.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Afternoon all!

Rough start to the day. Cloudy and cooler than predicted. OK with me! Should have some sun this afternoon.

Repaired a friend's Lionel year 2000 Big Boy. The chuff microswitch broke and I had three in stock. Lubed everything and made sure all screws were tight as I reassembled (I always find a bunch of loose internal screws when I take a loco apart).

Today is cleanup day for tomorrow's family Easter dinner. Son procured 2 tenderloins yesterday and he will slice them up, prep, and charcoal grill them.

Good afternoon all,

Door works on the shed and all four sides are covered.  Some flashing still needs to be installed.  Good news is that I did not have to pay them today.  More good news is that I got the stimulus money today.  Bad news is no MR, CTT or TRAINS...yet.   More bad news is there was a bogus charge on credit charge.  Good news is credit card company will zero that out.  Weather is warmer.  Mailed state and federal tax returns today.  Should get refund in a few months.  Did a Tox-A-Way today and there was NO line at all.  Got rid of a lot of stuff.  Debating which Mass to go.  Saturday night is SOOOOO long but getting up early for Sunday is not a good choice either.  Not sure what to make of the day.  I wish everyone a Happy Easter!  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Evening,

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!

Things been quiet around here.  Going to Chris' for BBQ tomorrow.  Just got an engine back from Mike Reagan that he was repairing for me, he did a fantastic job!  Its perfect!  The only issue is the shipping cost, sure wish he wasn't so far away.  But it's worth it to know someone you can trust.

Weather has been fantastic the past couple of days mid 70-s to low 80's.

Take care all and hope you all have a great Easter.

Easter

Hello there

V8 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Not much kitchen progress again. Must be the spring melancholy. Thought we were going to lose our doberman this week. Wednesday night he was stumbling around like he'd had a stroke. Got worse Thursday, Friday took him to vet expecting the worse as he is 14. Turns out he has vertigo. Got a bottle of pills an he should be better in a few days. Seems better already.

This week get the camper out of the carport. Do some cleaning and load stuff for the beach. Helping son replace some fence posts tomorrow

Spent yesterday with son and family as he had to work 2nd shift all weekend. The grandaughters stayed with us after he went to work and their Mom went home. They had a good time riding their bikes and helping roll the grass.
Grass

Another laid back Easter. No egg hunts, Dinner with Daughter and her family then a Sunday drive.

Best go see about supper.

Prayers for those in ned and the end of  this pandemic.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny and 40 (s'posed to hit 70) along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Hope everyone had a blessed Easter.  Here's mine.

Fifepops and Lucas. At 9 lbs, nothing "premie" about this fellow no more. Wifey bought him that outfit 2 weeks ago, and he had to be squeezed into it!

61 and warming fast. Breakfast [two fried chicken legs] and coffee. Now ready for the day.

Hope all are having a great week.

Shoulder blade muscle still HURTS! Calling Dr.

Fifefy, looks like G'Pa.

Farms tomorrow to spray before grass around campers jumps too high.

Later.
