I've noticed many "millennials" act like they watched to much Sponge Bob
Hello there, tonight predicted to be the coldest night of the winter so far at 8 degrees. Temps back to the 40s next week. Warmest winter since 1950 so far .
Spent several hours yesterday dealing with Mom paperwork . Found 2 bogus checks total about $700 in her account. Today rebuilt a circulation pump and prepping for this evenings 99th birthday party for Mom.
Best get to sleep.
Prayers for those in need

62 predicted tomorrow with lotsa sun!
Good repair report Kev.
Back from Father-in-law's cleaning out junk sorry sister-in-law and her son left behind. Had to get heat back on as propane Wifey bought in Nov. ran out. Gas delivered and furnace back on. Have to pay for gas as delivered as Sister-in-law left with over 1K in propane bill [in Father-in-law's name and he hd been dead for two years].
Cleaned out two baths and three bedrooms. They left a lot of good stuff. Bet 6 nice flat screen TV's.
Could not get into the forum this AM. Always something here.
Morning,
Woke up to full sun and -4 degrees on The North Bluff.
Plan for the day,,,cook wood and stay warm!
Up-date on my plow issue, So an hour of pi$$ing around and it is all good. Seems it was some bad connector work from the previous owner that caused the wire to over heat. Lucky for me I had some new connector lugs for the correct wire size in the tool box. , I soldered them in, no crimping. Working like a champ now.
They were fried!!!

Mornin' boys. Cloudy and 28, and that may be as warm as it gets until tomorrow evening. We visited my folks yesterday, and then journeyed to Cumberland, where we enjoyed a cozy dinner at City Lights restaurant.
I'm conductor on tonight's Murder Mystery train, and pulling double-duty tomorrow, hosting the Newlywed Game. Can you guys see me as a game show host...?
Oh, it's Valentine's Day. Best get down to the Citgo for the best selection of light-up plastic roses.
Good morning all,
Slow drive into work but made it there. Quiet day at work yesterday. Watched the LEGO show competition show last night, but may give up on it. They built stuff just to knock it apart. Not much point. A mix of weather today. Open test for Indy car yielded definite mixed results for AJ's team. SeaBass was fastest during time he was in car, the other driver was the slowest.....by a lot. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
68 degrees and trying to rain as usual. Got a busy afternoon.
Roy, we did one of those hydrants out back inside the fence. Got tired of dragging hoses across the concrete to water out back. Went down property line behind everything and set it in concrete. Stone under it to help with draining it. Works great.
Good morning team!
41, still gray, damp, but it stopped raining!!!! We are up to 7.5" of rain so far, double the normal amount. Forecast has pushed more rain back until mid-week.
Nothing to report so far...
Hello There,
a week of appointments and some shopping so far.
Re Windows 10. As far as I'm concerned it sucks. I had to buy a new printer because mine wasn't compatible. I still haven't gotten used to the way it arranges files and when I did the upgrade on my laptop while it was still free it slowed it to a snail's pace.
Roy.....the frost free hydrants are good. Make sure there's good drainage. If the water can't get away it will freeze above ground. Learned that the hard way.
Best try to sleep.
Thanks Kev!
Roy, Yes that is just what I had installed when I built the shed. Also what I have hooked the inside faucet to. Could not use anything else up here.
Going to be sub zero the next two days, why no other kind of hydrant will work here.
They make those farm style faucets to any depth you want. Ours is 5' deep. You would need nothing that deep down there. We figure a frost line at four plus feet deep here. Most trenches are at least five feet deep. Water mains are six or better.
Faucet,
Hooked up,
Un-hooked,
Evening folks!
Cold, 40's, gray, drizzly day, but the rain finally quit a while ago. Weather dude said we have the third wettest winter in 125 yrs - so far - more rain in a few days. We might have a nice weekend.
Received the LG replacement power supply this afternoon. Installed it and all good. It is a used supply. If we get a few more months or more from it that would be fine.
Kev - have you (or tried) any of those farm style faucet/stand pipe where the valve handle is above ground but the valve is well below ground and they drain out so they don't freeze. For some reason this house was built with two outdoor hose bibs (not in the wall of the house) on a stand pipe and no drain. So if I do not insulate them and put on a cover with a light bulb under, they freeze up. I thought about the farm style faucets as replacements.
Had early meeting across the county. back for a lunch taht someone else paid.
57 and cloudy.
Good day at work. Got some tasks done at home. Weather could bring some Snohio here. I hope everyone has a good day.
Sun now and 35. Snow is headed our way too. Tonight into tomorrow. It's due as the last snow has melted. It is almost like an unwritten law.
Morning, Calling for 4" of that white stuff over tonight then the bottom falls out for two days. Sandra and I did Valentines day lunch yesterday. Beat the rush and bad weather.
Mike, Got my direct deposit return today from the IRS. I have used H&R Block software the last three years. This was the first time I did the direct deposit thing. Daughter talked me into it. Only took two weeks to get the refund.
Yesterday's project was install a water faucet inside the shed from the hydrant outside the shed!!! Worked out neat and now I don't have to run a hose through the man door. The neat part is once I remove it from the hydrant it will self drain and never freeze. Worked good, cleaned off the truck and Gator then washed the floor!
Mornin' boys. Clear and 37 in the Potomac Highlands. I have work to do at the RR yard this AM, and some research at the station. Spent last night in the train room, creating cardboard lattice work on a previous bare spot. All ready for plaster cloth now.
Middle Princess (the nurse) stopped by and took our BP, then promptly had Wifey and me make doctor appointments... Too much "good" living, me thinks.
Busy day at work. Productive evening at home. Even made a first pass at federal taxes and will get a nice return. Weather cool Monday. I hope everyone has a good day.
Morning. 65 and raining. What's new!!!
Being lazy today. Yesterday was busy. Replaced W/S in 97 Silverado [Safelite guy]. He had to work hard to get it out. Old sealer was hard. Ended up having to use wire to cut it out. Cleaned and primed metal before installing. great job. Errands all over the place in the atfernoon. Met new pastor at a Church in town.
Enjoy the day.
Morning folks!
42 at present and holding. Grey, rainy, damp, ugly out...and this will continue through Thurs...several inches of rain...
Got the back off the LG TV (easy) and found the power supply not putting out the required 150 VDC to the LED strips, even with the LEDs disconnected. The P/S is trying to start - flashes the LEDs, but no obvious burned parts. Ordered a new power supply online for $39 + shipping...should be here Wed. We will see....
Dennis - my wife has to have the deep cleaning annually as she is fighting the loss/weakness of gum tissue around her teeth. The cleaning is required to keep the gum tissue adhering to her teeth. She has had painful gum tissue grafts. I can only suggest you try a second opinion to see if the deep cleaning is necessary for you. Not everyone requires it. It is interesting that poor gum tissue health can lead to heart issues.
Fife - yes, how could we tell
Buckeye - nice how those lights will help with your Seasonal Affective Disorder, those times of year where you seem to be overly focused on the doings of one (now retired) mayor of an important southern city....
Mornin' boys. Wet and 46 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Spent yesterday forming the Twin Mountain area of the layout, with a combo of cardboard strips, and styrofoam blue board.
Oh, pitchers and catchers report to Spring training today.
Can you tell...?
Good morning,
Jim...Glad to see you are working on your layout.
Cloudy, cloudy, cloudy and cloudy all the time, every day.
I purchased work lights at Lowes. Strong lighting really helps me put together the parts and pieces.
Have a good day.
Good Evening from a wet 50°F Southern Ohio
The new shift rotation has me off the next few days and start nights on Thursday. I worked on the red ranger on the continuing saga of the P0401 code. I was rechecking some voltage outputs from one of the new sensors and it was reading low (1.5 V instead of 3 volts so I’ll replace the sensor with a Motocraft unit.
I removed the wiring to a range (50 amp) for a friend and he gave me the 40 feet of wire and flex conduit. That will be part of the power supply for the RV outlet by the garage where we are putting in a camper pad.
I started gluing down the foam roadbed on the layout. It is good to be working on the layout again.
May God bless you and your families
Jim

Good morning gang of ferroequinologists miniature!
Gray and fairly cool in the 40's. To stay this way through Thursday along with several inches of rain...ugh...this winter was supposed to be abnormally dry according to the weather prognosticators...we are presently 3" over norms...back yard is a swamp again...the same pronosticators that predicted a dry winter for 2017, wettest year on record since recording started....
