Morning. Had rain. Foggy this AM. Nothing on agenda.
Had face to face at Caddy dealer. Clip not engaged at factory on trans line. Should have blown earlier. Replacing all lines and clips. Detailing the vehicle under side. Ready Monday or Tuesday. Wifey happier now.
Have a good one.

rt - You can bequethe them to your long-lost-great-cousin-twice-removed, Fife-"t"...
It's all about helping people...
RT, you're trying harder than I am!
I've only got space enough for the old, traditional 4 x 8, but it'll do for now. With three loops it serves to exercise the collection pretty well.
Now "if and when" we get the retirement house, and if it has a basement, watch out! It'll be empire-building time!
Flintlock76 RT, maybe if we had enough shelves that'd mean we're just not trying!

Good evening all,
Busy day at work. Busier night at home. Weather slightly warmer but still dry. One week of peace on the interstates before construction hits again for 6 weeks. Ugh. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Flintlock76 RT, the shelving and brick wall combo looks great! My compliments! PS: I hope you don't wind up like me. All the shelves I've got and it's STILL not enough! I have no idea how that happened.

Flintlock I already know that will be the case. My last count of just sets I was like 40 and then I have the loose engines that I have paired with Passenger cars and some with freight.
So you know I'm not going to be able to have enough shelves LOL
Evening folks!
It was an extremely nice day. Ms and I went downtown to a place we have not been before and had a very nice meal. We capped off the evening at a free outdoor concert.
RT - sorry about the doc visit and the room is looking great!
Kev - sounds like a hip replacement for the ms. I have a half dozen friends that have had that procedure and all are very happy.
Chief - sorry about the caddy, they usually have great cust service, so hopefully you hear back soon!
Brent - ah we did the apt thing with small kids when we moved back to Dallas from Houston. Man that was tough....
Regards, Roy
Well got to my appointment at the V.A. about 1 hour early. Was told that the person doing the electrocardiogram had to do one else where first and then she would get me. Two hours later another person ask if we planned to wait for her as she was in surgery doing it for them as they operated and probably be another 2 hours. So ask can we reschedule and marked as showed up but it was canceled, and he said yes. So that's what we ended up doing. Wasted of about 4 hours, hour each way and two hours there. So nothing got done here today.
Kevin I need to take some pics as I go with the flooring.
Here's my latest pic
Hope all had a good day

Afternoon fellas
fifedogThe only thunder I can hear is the boys running and jumping on the hardwood flooring. Yowza. They go back today. It's been nice.

Morning. Mid 80's and 60% chance of rain. Some got rain yesterday. Was in Raleigh and it poured for some time. On the concrete. One good one was the farms gort a good rain. We'll probably get some today.
No word from Caddy dealer.
Nothing on agenda so far.
Mornin' boys. Foggy and damp this AM along the Patterson Creek cut-off.
'tis quiet. Oldest grandson did paint an access rock cut for Fifepops, before we left. He has another video "in the can", just waiting for his momma to edit same.
Dropped the boys off in Frederick to oldest princess. Had a nice salad at Applebee's, then headed to Michael's. Picked up a roll of plaster wrap, and some picture frames. Lemax Spooky Town display was up and running, and the offerings this year are very nice, compared to the last few seasons.
As for the battery being perpetrated on cops...this is what Americans get with the whole body-cam mantra. In my time, the perps wound up in the ER. Good luck.
Oh, TGIF......whatta messed up week....Chief - If it's made by man, it surely isn't perfect. Stuff happens (I work with cars, trust me, lol) all the time and sometimes it isn't pretty. Hopefully Pam will get over it.Fought the good fight for 2 days, 11 hours at a time.....I'm beat. Jenni came over and we watched Better Late Than Never, it is hilarious. Watched 2 episodes and it was grand.
Phish - that is good news on the Mrs.
Banks - continued prayers for your daughter.
Flint - Yeah, "Closed Club" is correct. It's almost like they are like a bunch of bitter, angry old guys. I have a few items that some of the guys over there are looking for, but that's the extent of how I'll interact....don't need the aggrivation with those people.
Cloudy today, 80s. Showers today and tomorrow, Sunday supposed to be great.Let me get into trouble......check back later.....I need a break.....lol!
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin

Jim I have my HVAC company doing it. there actually going to put a baffel in the line as it's that close. It's about 25' at the most.
Event folks!
Warm but tolerable. Party sunny. 90's.
Nothing ti report this evening.
RT - gotta agree, and likely the folks telling you how to do it do not have real experience - they watched a YouTube....
Phish - glad your wife is doing good. Prayers continue for her swift healing.
Chief - sorry about the Caddy - like you said it is a machine, with a lot of hand assembly. Hopefully the ms feels better about after a nights rest.
Busy day at work. Picked up 2 of the grandkids tonight. The other 2 on Sunday. Watched Izombie. Good end to series. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good evening from 74°F Southern Ohio,
My bride is doing well post surgery. She is beginning to get out some.
It is hard to believe it is August already. The kids will be back to school in less than 3 weeks.
The youngest had a bunch (~ 25) kids here last night. I was only expecting a few girlfriends from her class but the invitation list grew. They were well behaved and all gone by 10:30 pm.
Good night and may God bless you and your families
rtraincollector, I see what you mean about the "Ogre" Forum. It's never happened to me since I've never posted there but it does seem to be kind of a "closed club," that is, if you haven't been in all along don't bother knockin'. Some of those guys are nasty! I'd expect that stuff from HO "rivet counters."
Becky (Penny Trains) got some grief when she tried posting, hence the "Ogre" title, it comes from her, bless her heart!
Too bad, I enjoy the magazine otherwise.
Not sleeping. Up early. Wifey left on new Caddy [519 miles and 2 weeks old] early. Got 3 miles up bypass and it blew what I think is a trans cooling line. Carried her the CRV [as she called in a tizzy]. She had Master Gardeners headed to Wilson NC. Got lady friend to pick me up at the scene. We went to our meeting. Got back to dealership at 3 PM. Took 30 minutes to get new Caddy loaner. Tired. Wifey mad. Saying they can have it. We'll see.
Flintlock I do pop in to read sometimes but for posting I'm about done over there, I went there to show what I have been doiing on building a garage into my train room and I imediately got told how to do this and that and what I need to do to put the flooring down on a cement floor, which I replied I know how to do it, I've done this before.
I didn't need how to info I just wanted to share. So that basically turned me off for over there. It may of been my PTSD that got me all worked up but I don't think so. I feel let lying dogs lay and move on
Hello there, quick follow up. Thanks for the prayers.
Phish....belated anniversary congas.
SP Ray......glad you are getting some help.
Kev....thanks for the videos.
Gotta go
Prayers for those in need

Good morning all!
Just put up two replacement shades on the covered portion of the deck and it's HOT! Going back up to about 90 today. We had some thunderstorms come through the area last night which dropped the temp to the low 70's, but the rain missed us here. Too bad, we could use some.
We're supposed to get some more this evening. I hope so.
'Devil, this is the only O gauge forum I bother with. I look in the "Ogre" forum from time to time but don't care to get involved.
V8 - I only do 2 actively, the "other" I check in sometimes, just to see what's up...
Mornin All.
August already, geez.
Still housebound just veging out, a real PITA having to use this walker. No end date , guess, yet.
Fife, Can't believe what your brothers in blue are having to put up with in NYC.
Sure looks like the 4014 Roadshow is being a huge success, with trainnerds as well as non-trainnerds. On Youtube some of the crowd sizes are amazing, luckily there are no stories of injuries.
Banks, Prayers for your daughter.
Well, need to find some breakfast so I can take morning meds.
Later !

Morning all.
Banks continuing prayers for your Daughter.
Payday so it means grocery shopping day. Bill paying day also.
Been a hot one, my electric bill for July was up $80, Some of that could of been the window A/C I have in the now train room, seeing I'm leaving it on. That is going to be taken care of in a couple of months when my HVAC guy comes and runs new vents to that area, so it will be service by the house system, not the window unit. But without that window unit, it would of been real unbearable to work in there doing the conversion. When they put the present unit in, back in February I had them go up a 1/2 ton on the unit so it would be ready to add the train room when it got done. Well time to get moving so we can goto Wal-Mart and some items.
Hello there, Been MIA for a few days.
Fife..... what Kev said about kids. I was hoping your layoff would give you an oportunity for October YORK.
Still hot. On Saturday we baled 150 square bales of alfalfa for us and 80 of mulch hay that's looking for a home.
Hillclimb Sunday and unloaded the last load of hay afterwards. Mrs and I went for wings and a drink about bedtime.
Monday morning I spent a couple of hours fabricating some stakes to fasten down canopies at the church festival. Laid low out of the heat all afternoon and spent the evening running tiller through the sweet corn patch. Dang foxtail is almost as high as the corn.
Tuesday Mrs and I took oldest grandaughter for her Jr. High soccer physical at the same time as daughters biopsy follow up appointment, which got postponed till Monday. Still on pins and needles. Then finished spreading fertilizer on hay field after son left for work.
Yesterday was a couple of appointments and errands. Finished the day by trimming the bushes abandoned during the heat wave.
So far today Mass, breakfast and dealing with retirement paperwork.
Best get toit

Fife, Lets you know WHY people have kids when they are still young.
Off to Krogers for supplies today. Not much else.
Da Chief is probably still sleeping in his chair. Sun today low 80s but the summer sun is hot. Well I guess that's a given. The gardens doing good except the maters, they are slow do to late planting.
