Good Afternoon from a bright and SUNNY South Jersey - upwards of 50 today.

Nice to see Roger stop by!  Thanks for the explaination.  Makes sense to me.  Only wish they would do that at work.....

Fife - Hope your issues are corrected soon.

SP-Ray - Good news on the ol' O2.  Hope you can get some train time in.

Not much to report, just got waved off on the convertible visit, my guy is working all weekend.  Just means more attic time for me and possibly a track plan will be finalized and layed down.

Check back soon!

Roger I see where you are coming from but I think you are discouraging forum participation. Maybe there is a better way. Possibly have Joe check the questions and if they are interesting to him one of you PM the originator without discouraging responses. Better yet have Joe answer the question here.

Sorry all. I did not want to start a fire here, just want to make the point that the way Rogers reply’s are answered could be refined to get what he wants and the OP wants. That would be a real time answer. JMHO.

I enjoy this forum and agree with the idea of sharing information so we can help each other. There are a lot of smarter guys here than me, but even I have been there and done that on some of the questions asked.

I have also noticed by the double spacing that he makes his reply’s in MS word or something else ( as I do) because of the lame software they have . Wink

Have a good one,, and Roger, No offence. Just saying.

52 and fair [right now].  Had an early out and full day.  Did get home by 5:15.  Wifey took me to Italian.

Now rest up and see some TV.

Understand what Roger is saying.  I use to do forum questions and also send to magazine as to share with everyone.

Later.

Good evening all,

Very busy day at work as Pain1 seems to be obsessed with wrapping up as stuff as possible before retirement even though that is a futile as there will always be more items to address.....  Good weather for walk.  Lucas was supposed to be here tonight but got yanked around by soon to be ex-wife.  Messes up our lives as well......  Quiet night at home.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good morning, on my way to breakfast with my train buddies.  Cold morning. Probably down in the 30's overnight.  Jazz club this weekend.  Nothing else planned.

Good Morning,

Been awhile, lost password, computer change, oh well life goes on.  All and all everything about the same, which is probably good.  Rumor has it we may have an improvement in the weather soon.  Had enough of the wet stuff, and cold.

Take care all and have a great day.

Good evening guys, Slow day today.

We did go to Waldoworld today and picked up a few things, milk, beer, wine and other BS and on the way home on Dayton Rd a Bald Eagle was flying right next to me above the Fox river crossing bridge. He was so cool!

Got up to 48 today. Guess we got more warm weather tonight and tomorrow with Rain on the way all of tomorrow, Then 50 MPH winds and down to 10 by Sunday night. WTH?

We will see.

Good evening all,

Got a lot done at work today, but one five minute job ran into all sorts of SNAFUs and never got done.   Error messages are too cryptic and I left my self notes from prior times as to what the problem is but I did not go into enough detail.   Weather was ok for walk but not great.  Watched 2 more Hill Street Blues.  Hope to get my run in tomorrow.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening from an overcast 42°F Southern Ohio,

The Marx 999 set came today.  It is nice.  A little lube and it is running really well.  Went to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning, and cleaned some AF track for the layout and ran the new Marx for a while.  Studied my AF water tower to reply to another post.  Starting to run out of gas.

I’m off nights until Monday and next week is the last week for night shift as I’ll go to dayshift for two months.  I slept for just a couple of hours to force a turnaround in sleep patterns.

May God bless you and your families

Evening team!

Gray, cold, rainy, all day today. Supposed to push out tomorrow mid-morning. A pleasant change from previous forecasts is a sunny/partly sunny weekend and highs in the 60's Yeah

Had two eye doc appts this week along with 2 visits to optometrist. I have a lot of prism in the lens for my right eye and the labs apparently have lost the desire and the skill to make the executive bifocal glasses I have prescribed and have worn for over 20 years. The last 2 labs notified my optometrists that they will no longer produce executive bifocals. So having to go through a science project investing in lenses thrown up on the 'wall' to see what works. Major pita.

And to add to the pain, the cholesterol statin I take is no longer (or temporarily unavailable) available and I am going through another science project to see if I can tolerate a different statin.

Regards, Roy

Rain Rain Rain.  Suppsoe to be slacking off some.  Errands to run.  Then hope to get into Train Box as raining.  Did not get there as planned yesterday.  Ended up being at Town Hall most of afternoon.  Did push Town Manager to give employees raises April 1 instead of July 1.  Pay study showed 5% increase to be equal with rest of County.  Also several position upgrades.  He wanted to be stingy.  Not me.  If we are behind, do it now.

Ray, I understand.

Have a good one.

Good evening all,

Finally a day went right.  I did 11 miles, all walking, in 3:01:29 for a 16:30 pace and and 3.63 MPH average.  It was difficult at first to force myself to just walk as the pace was just too slow but as time wore on and I got my legs under me, the speed picked up a bit.  I did 10 miles faster than I did last week and I was able to move afterwards.  Even movement at Mass was less slow.  Only have to master two more miles and I will be ready to start increasing speed for the Mini.   Raining a lot here now.  Tomorrow should be quiet.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening from wet 50°F Southern Ohio,

I went to the Catholic Men’s Conference today in Columbus.  Good speakers and they had an inspiring message.

It has rained a lot today.  My bride fried some deer steaks for supper and they we great!  The deer jerky I made Thursday is almost gone.

I’m impressed with how smoothly the 999 is running.  The Marx are amazing.  The cars that came with the 999 are tin lithograph and sound sooo neat!

Mike – Great job on the workout training

May God bless you and your families

Hello there,

A good day here.1st thing this AM I ordered April York Badges. Who else is coming???????

Also confirmed a campsite where we usually stay. In October they had a notice posted that they may or may not open this spring.

The heavy rain that was predicted the other night never happend so we still have 6 inces of settled frozen snow. The littlest grand kids and their Dad came sled rideing this AM. The youngest is afraid of the snowmobile so she and I walked up the hill. Their Dad left to do some things and the girls spent the day with us.My Dad's 254E and my HO Thomas got a workout.

Fife.........glad ya got the plumbing fixed

Phish........where are you getting the peeps????

Off to bed soon.

Prayers for those in need.

Mornin' boys.  Soggy and 34 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Atlanta race today, if weather permits, and some time in the train room.

Speaking of, spent afternoon shopping with Wifey.  JoAnn's had some nice spring like floral clusters at 40% off, and Kohl's had some really nice tinplate farm windmill's, in two sizes, back in their clearance section.  We picked up a couple outfits for our young neighbors' newborn baby girl.

Morning.  Rain has stopped.  Sunshine due around noon.  Already sunny in the mountains.  Rain has saturated everything.  No rain for a few days.

Fifey, good report on helping get things for neighbor's new born.

York is a maybe.  If so, taking Will Allen [Duck Under RR seen in OGR].

Have a great week ahead.

Off to hear Dixieland Jazz this afternoon.  We have a club that meets once a month with featured bands sometimes.  Other times we have regulars.  Enjoying it while it last.  Ate out last night with friend at Boston Market.  More of a take out place but the price was right.  I guess I'm not a big fan of rotesserie chicken and somebody needs to teach them how to cook green beans.  I would up with mashed potatoes and corn which was OK and half a chicken.  Don't think I'll be back there for a while.

Afternoon All,

Quick pass through as I listen to that wind outside. Calling for gusts up to 60 mph!

Not much on the go today. I was fighting a nasty migraine for a couple of days. I always admittedly dismissed them as just "woman's headaches." Between the blurred vision, vomitting and pounding headache, I thought I was having a stroke! I won't down play them again!

Passed on going to the World's Greatest Hobby show this weekend. I ended up spending my "allowance" on ordering from Menard's instead.

Have a good one and prayers.

Rob

Good evening all,

Lucas stayed overnight on the return trip from his daughter's place.  I did some additional wiring on the layouts with some success.   Windy today in Hoosierland.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Wind still sounds like a freight train out there. 60mph gust all day long and won't chill out till tomorrow sometime.

Heading down to 9 tonight so winter is not going anyplace soon.

Starting to feel better after yesterday's stop over with the guys from the old home town, but it sure takes longer than it used to.  Beer Beer

Any of you guys ever use a pizza stone to cook pizza on?  Wife thinks we need one???  Dinner

Maybe start a fire in the fireplace?

Buckeye, What software are you using for that?

We have one. Keeps the crust from browning before the topping is done. Quit using it because topping was crispy and dough not done.

Some sun at 17 degrees The wind is still gusting here. I did some train running yesterday with no PILE UPs. We had a pizza stone but didn't care for it so out it went.
