Hey, got locked out AGAIN last week and reset my password and now I can get back in......?????

The Wreck-fest 500, at least no Mopar were hurt in the ensuing mele......

So the table is up, had to cut it 2 more times and it is standing on it's own, my measurements were spot on and everything fits.  Next time I have to bring in 8' wood or sheet rock, it'll be in 2' sections.  Insualtion within the month, sheetrock when funds allow.

Track plan will be taking a hit, might have to condense to 1 inner loop and an O48 outer traversing both tables and heading north.  Looks like there will not be enough room for the dog bone in O36 to accompany the O48 all away around the table, but I need to get the foam for the big table and that will be Friday night along with the support wood.

Back at it, 1 more to do and I exit stage right.....

Mornin' boys.  Grey and 39 along the front range of the Alleghanies.  Office today, all day.

Actually, it was a pretty darn good 500.  Gibbs' team had an emotional win, but his former crew chief (now with the 95) almost stole the show.

Buckeye - I will monitor the situation, and take appropriate actions if warranted.

Banks

Congrats both to mom and grand daughter!

More February weather.  Been dealing with a shoulder that keeps me up at night.  Nedless to say the surgery is going to cost too much so I'll have to wait a bit.

Evening all!

A chilly day today - gray, think it made it to 50 or so. I think a front hit this afternoon as temps next two days are 40's. Rain formTues.

Son and I went to the annual Autorama custom car and hot rod show yesterday. Had a pleasant time along with some popcorn and beers. We don't make this show every year as the Feb weekend it normally hits is usually bad weather, snow, sleet, etc.

Repaired a MTH 384E PS2 std ga loco today. Need it to test DCS on the layout at the shop. The main board was not working. Had a spare that came out of another std ga elec loco. Sounds are wrong but I will look into downloading the proper files later. Had an MTH O ga NYC 4-4-0 that had a bad speed sensor. Repaired that a while back but it would not accept the sound/operation files. Fired it back up and a transistor on the mother board burned up, possibly explaining the previous issue in sound/operating software download. So dug out another PS2 board and installed that. Appears to work (running the tender only),wrong sounds again, but need to test it with the loco after I make sure there are no problems with the loco wiring (speed sensor, smoke fan, smoke element, motor leads, lights leads, etc.) to make sure the loco is not a cause of the transistor blowing.

Nice track plan Buckeye!

Banks - congrats on your mom's big bday and granddaughters award! Nice family pic!

Watched Daytona today. A bit boring until the last laps when most of the cars were taken out in crashes.

Regards, Roy

The NEW Baltimore, Ohio and Wabash RR, aka BOW RR, has started with preliminary design. There are some elements of the old layout that have been incorporated. A new trolley track has been added such that passengers departing at the main station can get to the new White Castle at the end of the trolley line. We expect the trolley to be packed with slider customers. The signature reverse loops are in place as well as a separate track for conventional. The highest track is at 16”. I'm still not satified with the station location because you can't see the front.

Good evening all,

Did 10 miles today.  Not a great run at all, but finished.  Did the first four miles in an hour.   Total time was 2:46.37 for a 3.6 MPH average.   Sunny today.  Went to Mass.  Watched more Hill Street Blues.   Wife has left foot hurting.  May go to foot doctor Monday if not better.  Hopefully will work on and run trains Sunday.   Great news if you are in LCCA or a reason to join if not.  Will publish on website lots of archived data from several sources.   All Lionel catalogs from 1900 to 1995 will be there and so will all Model Builder magazine material plus other stuff.  Most excellent.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

I have three MTH engines, one is a dummy, the other two are proto 2 and if that dies will upgrade them with TMCC. The rest of my engines are either TMCC or conventional that I will run off of TPC's 300/400 or PowerMaster. I have original TMCC and I have Legacy L. Not sure when I hook up which I will hook-up.

Not much else going on here today.

Talk to you all later, hope you have a good Sunday

Did some wiring in the Train Box.  Did some straightening in the Box.

Put all 4 of my MTH engines on the track to charge.  Had not "cranked" 3 in three years.  No problem.  Let them charge and smoke.  Yes, got rid of all my MTH engines but these.  They are special so kept them.  If Lionel made these, they'd be gone.  I deleted all the many MTH diesels I had owned and sold.  Had to do that in each remote.  Had to shut down and restart both remotes twice.  Would get hung up.  Even had to delete several over and over as would not delete even though it said deleted.  Come to conclusion, system is trash.

Good evening,

Not to bad around here today, slow but fine with me, we will have plenty to handle tomorrow and Monday with the kids. I have been feeling kinda of bad lately so I decided that as long as it is close to freezing and everything is firm I would take a walk in the woods to loosen me up some and see if it would help my old bones. Damn it was nice to just walk out to the back ravine, a nip of cold on my face, the quiet, and nothing but me and God's creation. Sure can feel the upcoming snow fall in the air. I think it was just what I needed. If not at least I enjoyed it. When I got back from the walk the deer were at the feeder and waiting on me for more. How can you beat that? Maybe a beer or two? Wink

Afternoon all!

34 and maybe 41 today. 40's and 50's for the next week. Maybe some rain.

Ray, Don, and Dennis, wonder if the rain/snow out there is benefitting Lake Mead?

43 and rainy.  What a big change.  Not much on agenda.  Maybe get into Train Box and "cleanup some things".

Ray, saw them on [maybe RFD TV] doing some work on BNSF.  Bulldozer was down and train was headed that way.  Crew came by truck on the rails.  Got it fixed.  Got the snow moved before train got there.  Was interesting.

Mike, just finished Blue Bloods.  I DVR it so I can run through commercials.  Was a good one.

Later.

Went to Friday breakfast with my train buddies today.  That was the high point of the day.  Made spaghetti for dinner and have a lot left over.  Not much on TV tonight and it is supposed to rain again tonight.  Been looking at pics of trains over Donner Pass in the snow.  Looks like they are keeping up with it so far.  Just using flangers for now.  They only call out the rotaries as a last resort.  They use spreaders and bulldozers first.

Hello  there,
Mrs had a delay on Wednesday. I did some house stuff the rest of the day.

Yesterday skin doc took some spots off my cheek. Later Mrs and I had a nice Surf & Turf at a local Pub for Valentines Day. New York strip with Scallops for me, New York strip with Shrimp for Mrs. Chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

Tonight we're watching the littlest granddaughters while their folks do Valentines and sons birthday today.

Phish.....hope that video helped.

Best see what the girls are into.

Prayers for those in need.

Rich..... Can you cut the plywood in half and then splice together with a scrap piece of plywood or 1x2, glue and screws. I do it all the time with 1x6 L girders.

Morning all.

Slowly but surely I'm starting to pull out my tin-plate trains ( 810/2810 - 820/2820 ) and going thru them deciding what I'm going to keep and what will slowly but surely go up on the auction block as I have way to many of them. I might even see if theres any bite on them at a yard sale I'm planning for April. Who knows, I do have to many thou.

Otherwise not much going on here. Hope all have a good day

Roy, I think I heard that the reservoirs are full again.  Good news for the coming summer.  I think our rainfall is back to normal so far.  It has been a wet February.  They say another cold front is moving in behind this rain.  Cold for here is anything below 40.

Sturgeon-Phish

Good Evening, (Good Morning??) from a windy 54°F Southern Ohio,

I am going to show my three rail ignorance.  I’m looking at some lionel track repair pliers, and the choice is between 027 and O gauge.  How do I tell which one I have?

May God bless you and your families

Evening folks,

Been really busy so no time to post. Had a nice weather respite today with about 70. Another front tomorrow night and cold again next week.

Wife and I were going to go an Italian place for dinner tonight but the weather was so nice I went and picked up some steaks and we sat on the porch and grilled. All was good! Cards exchanged!

Hope all are well!

Ray, Dennis, maybe the reservoirs will fill back up?
