Long day. Got daughter to St. Louis and back.  Left at 7 AM and back by 8 PM.  Weather good.  Roads not so much.  Law enforcement was out in force.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Hello there,

Roy.......continued prayersfor your friend.

The rain that was supposed to end overnight lasted til almost lunch time. Never got to working on the Tahoe. My work space contains a tractor and a snowmobile among other things so I'm working in the driveway. As Kev said I suspect a stuck caliper. It doesn't get driven much and one of them probably rusted.

Putzed with the porch some this PM.

This evening I went and woke up grandsons race quad. Still have the stock one to go over. Gonna be a challenge this year, he put on 20 pounds since last season. Test and tune is next Saturday  but he has baseball and I'll still be at York.

Bed is calling.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Evening all

Had a good day today, got some more detail lights hooked up, and run trains for awhile checking things out.   Programmed two electronic message signs I have in the train room.  I wanted a "train" image scrolling across the light.  Had to program it dot by dot.  Had sucess.  According to FB, Buckeye is on the Carribean side of Mexico.  Should be here in two weeks.

Then had somewhat of a startal, I stepped out on the patio and there was this HUGE lizard standing next to the SPA staring at me!  Where the Heck did that come from, and HOW did it get in the back yard??  It sure looked mean, now what do I do??  On the side of the house is a gate, so if I open the gate maybe I can herd it out of the yard into the front.  I also had a shovel near the pool filter and would use that to guide it.  As I approached it jumped in the pool.  So I got the shovel, the lizard climbed out of the pool and was basking on the deck.  I started approaching it, some hissing going on.  As I got the shovel under the claws it turned and started to run. (They are FAST!).  I forced it to turn the corner and was headed toward the gate.  Then it made another turn and we were on the other side of the pool.  It was running along the side of the train room, (and the door was open), but crosse the patio.  It then jumped up on the BBQ, climbed up the cover, then on a block wall, and onto a tree in the neighbor's yard.  It went UP that tree like a squirel, and stared at me.  It has sense disappeared in the neighbors yard, which is unkept and like a jungle.  So here in the middle of suburbia, we have had Red Tail Foxes, Canadian Geese, Oppossums, Ducks (nesting) in our little bitty yard.

At least 5 maybe 6 foot

It didn't like the water, it went to the side and was ABLE to climb up to the deck, which is a good 2' from the water surface.  I approached him from the left, and he ended up going around the pool andback down the side where I took this picture from.  Of course it dropped a load in the pool on its way out!!

Fun Times !

Roy hope your friend is doing well after the surgery.

Good Night All.

Afternoon all!

Sunny and rainy. Front moving through. Maybe some storms tonight and a temp dive for the weekend, 60's - so I will practice walking around the back yard for York next week.

SJ - YES - a real Friday the 13th! - best stay inside today and hope jet engine or space junk doesnt fall on your house.

Thanks again for the prayers, unfortunately my friend passed last night around 8 pm. Prayers for her family.

We have this group photo from our wedding 32 years ago on the wall. About 30 of my good friends, many of whom we still keep up with, visit, etc. 5 of them have passed over the last 10 years - all before 60 yrs of age. A couple of them are presently fighting some kind of cancer. Live it to the to fullest.

Kev - the page number thing comes and goes. Has for years now.

Regards, Roy

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 57, with highs in the 90's, in the Potomac Highlands.  Streamin' in some slack key guitar music to fit the mood.  Went fishing late yesterday on top of the mountain, and caught 2 more bass than I was expecting to catch, then enjoyed the sunset over my parent's pond.  Came home and enjoyed the So-Co that middle princess gave me.  Dept. 56 Ice Delivery came from oldest princess.  All-in-all, a good week for Fifey.

Today is Ms. Kelly's Cake.  Trip to Deep Creek today.  Whatever her little heart desires.  She has became quite the "backwoods Barbie" over this past year.  Less make-up, letting her hair grow natural and no dye: pretty lady.

Hello there.

Wow!!!...where is everyone???? No one since Fife this morning.

I think spring is here. The oak tree finally lost all it's leaves and the Barn Swallows came back yesterday.

Spent most of the day fixing things and hauling s**t. It was still 80 degrees on the patio at 8PM when I came in. Yesterday I got the Tahoe ready to tow the camper to York. Weather permitting I'll move the camper to the driveway and bath it on Monday.

Ready for bed.

Prayers for those in need

Sunny, cold N breeze, and only 45 at noon. Maybe 60 today.

Not sure they will get the NASCAR Bristol race in today.

Vacuumed the house this morning. I stick to a strict regimen. Every 6 months whether it needs it or not!

Fifer - Happy Bday to Ms. Kelly!

Kids coming for dinner tonight. Steaks!

Good evening all,

Welcome, Mike.  Good to see another Hoosier here.  For once a good day sports wise.  Pacers upset LeBron, Indy 11 won, TK got another top 10 for AJ, and watched an entertaining EPL match that clinched the title for Man City.  In between everything else, bought a new dishwasher.  Weather turning colder.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening all, Just checking in after a week on the East Coast.  We went to outside Jacksonville, N.C. and saw my dying sister.  Unfortunately, she was not consious so I don't know if she knew we were there or not.  We stayed for a day or so then headed North to see my brother in Va. who is also in stage 4 cancer.  My sister passed away last night early this morning.  We got home last night.  My brother came home from rehab last Wednesday but they will need a hospital bed and wheel chair.  Some friends built a ramp for him while we were there.  His cancer is very aggresive and the prognosis is not good.  Don't know how much good we did but he was glad to see us.  One of my boys went with me and did all the driving.  We had GPS on the car and needed it.  I would have been lost without it.  When we drove to North Carolina we followed the route of the old Atlantic Coast Line Norfolk branch from Rocky Mount to Portsmouth, VA.  Part of it has been removed but we found that parts of it are still in service and operated by the North Carolina and Virginia Railroad.  We stopped at Ahoskie, N.C. and took some pictures of the depot and some engines there.  The town saved the train order semaphore signals and had a plaque at the base.  We saw a couple of train stations in Suffolk, Va too, one of which is a museum now.  I am really glad to be back home.  I feel like I will never leave again.  I just can't do well in the airports.  I got a wheel chair between gates in Charlotte and glad I did.  We went from one end of the place to the other. Hope you are all well.

Ray

My church got a guy to help me build one for my wife. We are blessed with people like that. Glad you got home safe and sound.

I don't care to fly anymore with what I have heard it takes to get a flight.

No train news today. Hope all had a good weekend. Talk ot you all later

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.  Especially when the Mr. Coffee goes on the fritz...  Oh well.

Wifey enjoyed her ride along the Alleghanies Saturday.  Drove from home to Oakland, around Deep Creek, and headed north to Meyersdale, where we met up with a CSX coal train, and let it chase us to Sand Patch.

Mornin All !

Ray, Prayers for the family. I'd be willing to bet that she knew you were there. She held out just long enough for you to get there.

Not much happening here, just the regular routine of one doctor or another or visiting the vampires to leave a deposit. However after my primary care provider had my other doc's on a conference call several of my meds were stopped or the dosage changed. As a result my BP has come up to a better level upper 90's over 60's. But the "ejection fraction" is now at 27%, hopefully it will come up some over the next few months.

Might try to make it to the museum sometime this week. My BetterHalf said she would go with me and spend the day or as long as I can handle the time there before running out of gas.

Gotta get a move on, almost time to visit the dentist this morning.

Later all !
