Good evening,
I'm happy it's Friday as the work week seemed extra long. The wife and I enjoyed a dinner date tonight; we went out for Turkish food. It was great. I have plenty of household chores lined up for this weekend, but I plan to be at the Dayton train show tomorrow.
Buckeye - Sorry, I did not know about your surgery. Please let me know if you want me to look for anything for you. I'd be more than happy to get it out to you.
Good night,
Joe

Thanks Joe. That was very kind of you to offer. Hopefully I may be able to attend the Springfield Show at the fairgrounds.

Hello all
Back on the mountain for another week.
Kev - that baggage car looks good w/ set! Glad it found a good home:)
I got the MRC transformer in last week and hooked it up to the new layout. I actually like it better than the Kato units that came w/ the layout. Need to sort out all the drops to the tracks. And I made a modification to the bridge to keep the trains from stalling out.
When I was @ the LHS last week, I picked up some Micro-Trains coupler stuff to try switching out some of the couplers on the various pieces of rolling stock I have.

Buckeye Riveter Joe....I guess you didn't know that I had surgery in late September and I'm still confined to the house. I wish I could go to that show.
Joe, his slow recovery is due to me slipping up north and into the OR. I fixed him up real good.
Cloudy and possible T'storms.
Got chest cold now.
Boss Hog has stacked his Town Board. I recruited these ladies. They had not even thought of running.

Sun this morning and maybe 60s for the day.
Football Saturday will keep me near the TV today. I hate to say this BUT the CTT magazine is starting to look like all the grocery items that are getting smaller and smaller.

Good morning all.
Thought I would sleep in this morning, that didn't work out. Got my mile walk in and finished breakfast, now to unpack and service yesterday's stuff. No pile-ups, that's a good thing. Started out with a pretty good crowd but boy did it ever die after lunch. Makes for a long day.
Get well soon Buckeye, need to get back to ruff-housing with the munchkins.
Later all, gotta get to work.

Afternoon all. not a lot going on here. Just put some spaghetti sauce with meatballs on the stove to warm up. Need to eat some lunch as breakfast was late and not enough. Cloudy and drizzly here today 73 suppose to go to 75. we actually don't see sun in the forecast till Thursday afternoon man it's been cloudy/rainy here now for over a week already.
After I eat going out to garage to get some better pics of some trains I have on the bay really don't have good place in here and I made a tiny loop 8 curves and 4 straights so I can test trains. So at least while I'm trying to straighten some things up I can run a short train lol. Hope everyone has better weather and a better weekend going on. Talk to you all later.

Mailman just brought me a parcel from SC, Looks great, rt.
Went to a little swap-meet this AM, and picked up an arch-under bridge for $5.
Buckeye, best wishes for a speedy recovery. I did not know you had surgery either. I thought you just had a regular kidney stone episode that passed by itself with only the pain associtated with that which would be enough in my opinion but I assume the surgery was needed to remove the stone. Maybe I'm all wet but correct me if I'm wrong.
SPMan
I knew you had stones but didn't realize it was that major of a deal this time sorry to hear Buckeye hope your back up and moving soon. Kidney stones are not fun I had mine removed also back some years ago ( mid 90's)
Get well
Boy do I feel lucky ! I have been searching for some d/c Weaver trucks for quite awhile, since well before they closed up. Found and bought all the shop had, 9 pair of Bettendorf trucks. Maybe I should pick up a lotto ticket.
Mornin' boys. Brrrr....sweater weather. Probably work on North Pole addition today. Ran my postwar goodies last night. The Allis-Chalmers car sure has a unique profile, and tracks well for being so light. Then joined the in-laws at a dive for "Kroakie" (some of them were really dying on stage...).
Good morning,
A brisk Sunday morning here and I love it. It's 29 degrees and there is frost on the ground. Yesterday, after I finished some house chores I was able to spend over an hour at the Dayton Train Show. Wow! That is a great show with tons of vendors, plenty of O as well. There were some nice operating layouts as well in all scales. However, I believe the best one was the O scale one by the Queen City Modular Club from Cincinnati. I am considering joining them since they are only 45 minutes from my house. The show was well attended. I am going back today to actually spend some time shopping. That is hard to do when you have a 5-year-old with you. It's time to get ready for church now.
No worries Buckeye. I hope you're up and about soon.
Chief - Clever work stacking the board.

Right below that and right above the area where you can type you should see a button that read "Add Quote to your Post." When you click on that you should be able to find the post you want to quote.
Ordered the parts for my conversion. Hope that the guy Im giving it to appreciates it when Im done. Hope you find some good stuff, demay!
Bright sun this morning, not sure about the temp. 50s today, I think.
Well the football games I like had 2 winners and 1 loser by a point.
Same weather here as SJ's.
Finished with leaves for the year at long last.
NASCAR this afternoon.

Joe... The next show near Dayton is the Springfield Fairgrounds Show. Always a good show. Today is the Dalton Show in Wayne County.
Ray & RT... They first used a laser and other instruments at the end of September to remove a 1 cm stone. Then they blasted three more, twice. Stents are scheduled for removal this Thursday. It has been a long two months. I'm not allowed to do much with the stents in my body. The rule is not lift anything over 10 pounds.

Morning all prayers for you Buckeye on me they just wnet up me and broke them up as to large to pass and got them then I had to go thru a screened funnel for like a week to see if I passed anything and yes and yes I knew it. And first thing I did when woke up was to make sure all was still there.
Not much planned for today straightening up what was train room so it can be turned over to the cats ( I need a desk and the desk is in another room so we are changing rooms persay. there winning on this deal) Oh well I'll be transforming my Garage into a train room come spring or early summer as I get it closed off and made in to a heated/ac building for that purpose. That will give me about 14' x 14' for trains I believe so that will be good enough for me.
Sorry I did not post yesterday. Been a busy 2 days. All the train items are in the train room and all locomotive and rolling stock is on shelves (some still boxed). All train boxes are in attic (some need to be boxed to keep dust off them). Tonight I was able to run trains for the first time in the new train room! I selected the 1985 Burlington Northern Express to run on its first run here. Runs like a champ and looks quite spectacular. What is nice is that I can leave it up or I can put it back on the shelf without any boxing hassle. I had just enough shelves for everything although some pieces are a bit crammed together. I still have to get some Mianne tables, but that will happen. Buckeye, I hope you recover soon. I hope everyone has a good day.
Aloha. Sunny and cold. Below freezing this am. Was a quiet weekend. MikeC, congrats on the first train run in the new room! Banks, congrats to you and the Missus. Hope to reach your milestone someday. Chief, congrats to your allies being elected - that's a real milestone. Bob, those micro-train couplers are sure tiny but there's a neat de-coupling tool that looks like a pencil that lets you unhook them with a little twist. Boy, I don't miss those...

Mornin' boys. CLoudy and 55 in the Mid-Atlantic region. Gotta get up on the ladder and blow the leaves out of the downspouts, again. Scheduled lots of appointments: heating oil delivery, furnace clean, dryer needs drum rollers replaced, yatchett haul-out. Feel like an Army of One, like the old ad.
Banks - Happy Anniversary to you and the sweet one.
Sun and 30s this morning.
Looks like I made a good call on the grass cutting. Me thinks it's over for this season.
Real frost on the car windows this morning. A nice day Sunday with some of our little family.
Good afternoon, Like Doug said started out cold today.
Well all my plans for a trip north this week got changed. My friend from Denton Texas Gene is coming to town this week and wants to stay here Thursday and Friday so no trip north. I called Mark who has the place up north and he is going back up on Friday after Thanksgiving so I will ride with him and save the gas and still make a trip up before the dead of winter. So in the end it will work out even better and I will see both guys.
Ran trains last night and scored a great Williams Santa Fe Black Bonnet F3 A-B- A Diesel Set from a good friend along with a EJ&E box car.
Leaves are done!!!!!!!!
DJ, that is just not right about your tires.
Wetttttttttttt down here. Not cold yet, but it's coming. I might be leaving the floor finally and building a layout, finally have enough track and the like to justify it to my family. Hoping to get started next month, can't wait to see. Anyone had experience building their layouts out of foam (insulation board type)? Bout the only way I could make it light enough for the space I have, is mostly foam construction.

I have a little experience with foam.
In fact, everything is foam. It is very quiet.
Just type into CTT search foam benchwork. There is more out there.
Alright.
Ill probably put updates here as I go.
