Still in recovery mode from the kidney stones. Hopefully this too will pass.  Really missed York this year.  Looking forward to April show.

I just installed the Lionel Control Tower on the layout.  Q: Do the little men in the tower move counter clockwise (walking backwards)?

Dear sirjames,

could you please have your Lions play better.  They keep trying to stand in the way of my Ravens on Draft Day.

Thank you.

Good morning Bucky, hope you're feeling better.  I have had a lot of those stones too.  No fun!

Chance of light rain tomorrow.  Hope we get it.

Did some research yesterday about a long lost uncle and found out he passed away in January 1996.  We had been out of contact for years.  I will always remember him because he gave me my first Lionel train in the 50's.  His wife, my aunt, preceeded him in death in the late 50's.  He remarried and started a new life, never coming back to see us. Wish him well though and a good spot upstairs.  He did a lot for the kids in my family.

Good Sunday Evening All!

April at York sounds nice to me.

As for the post below......

I just installed the Lionel Control Tower on the layout.  Q: Do the little men in the tower move counter clockwise (walking backwards)?

Sounds like a nice conversation piece!

Home from the train show.  Helped the guys bust down the layout and also picked up an engine for a friend who is a captain out on the lakes and was unable to be at the show.  He had a custom paint job done on an RS3 for an Upper Michigan short line.  November is here.. won't be long and we'll be talking turkey.

Good morning all!

Cowboys lost. Gordon won. Royals won.

Have had about 20 inches of rain over the last 2 weeks. House has leveled a bit but a long way to go. Need a number of years to replenish ground water after 15 years of sporadic rain.

Buckeye  - keep healing up.

Have a great day all!

Hi guys, The grand-kids left at dark last night, I was whooped after 24 hours of them both.

But in the end a good time. Got the Cat payment so need to do bills today. Glad I got to rest last night.

Anyway the kids wanted to show their mom the Menards hobby shop Sandra got me. So I turn everything on and tell her to look at the building,,,,,,,,,,,,,I notice the CSX Dash 8-40C is coming on way strong from the incline............. Darn little guy pushed the throttle to wide open crashed all of my Miller train but the engine,,,thank GOD for that.  Surprise

48. heading to 70 today all sun.  Cool

Roy, that is some strange soil you guys have down there. My friend Gene in Denton uses a soaker hose around his place to keepp it from moving.

Three weeks and still some tell-tail signs of the North Texas rash on me. Boy it is tough.

Here are some pictures of my first Christmas gift. It was 11% off so Sandra just went ahead and got it for the layout. I like it.

Sun and Hi 60s for the week.

One of these 60s days will be for the last grass cut of the season. Then drain the gas and put er away. Saw that hobby shop at Menards on Saturday, liked it, but I have no place on the layout for it. Didn't get to see Charlie at the show, I went on Saturday, he went Sunday.

Aloha. Sunny and pleasant ! Anytime I can say that in November, it is a grand thing. Nice weekend - worked at church. Took kids out trick-or-treating in Sat. downpour. Raked a few leaves whilst listening to the Bears lose in spectacular fashion. I hope they challenge the Ravens and Lions for the draft. That hobby shop looks great - Menards has some wonderful items - they have a long storage shed that comes with a million signs so you can customize it. I had that control tower that Buckeye installed. The guys on mine zipped around back-wards as well.

Good morning all,

Taking wife for appointment with surgeon this morning to schedule a time to remove tumor on her leg.

Had a Yankee breakfast today.  Oatmeal and a bagel with cream cheese.

Cooked a pot roast yesterday in crock pot.  Turned out OK.  Also cooked some rutabagas along with the rest of it but nobody would eat any of that except me.  Must be a Southern thing.

Got chicken and pork chops to cook this week but not enough here to eat them.  Might have to freeze something for later.  Son is out of town again.

Plan on looking for extra home care help for my wife after we get this carcinoma cleared up.

Another doctor appointment for her tomorrow and a care giver meeting for me.  Busy week.

Good evening all,

For all the old timers, IIABSDISEI with temps near 70.   Mulched leaves today.  Took far longer than I thought it would as I had to leaf blow all the leaves out of the new grass.   Mower did a great job of chopping stuff up.   Watched Supergirl and Jane the Virgin.   Going to vote tomorrow and maybe some other items as well.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Evening all!

Kev. We have soaker hoses also. Can't keep up With moisture loss. Rains the last few years have been deluge, not soaking. Fixes the lakes but not the underground moisture.

Good morning from a dull fog on the North Bluff. Will turn to sun and 70s latter.
James, we are just about there to. If we want to add anything, something else will have to come off the layout. I sure like that lumber mill operation but it takes a huge footprint.
Roy, I saw that foundation crack repair is a big business down there, kind of like basement seepage is here. Lots of TV adds. Smile, Wink & Grin
Wife is off today so it will be a trip to Krogers and then more leaves.  Whistling

Sun and 70 today

This will be the final cut for the season.

Voted this morning. The Chief's check finally cleared so I voted for him. Will go back after my nap and vote for him again.

Hmmm....

The 'Pot' is pretty slow. Likely due to Buckeye starting it this month. Everyone confused or everyone out voting for da Chief! Your pick.

Nice weather here, but cooling for the weekend after some more rain Thurs.

Good evening all,

Spent all day outside slicing styrofoam shelves for the bookcases.  No problems with legs.   Make one run tonight and pop goes the tendon....again.   Go figure.  We lost 2-0.   All sorts of upsets in the local election.   IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,
