Congrats Frank!

Another foggy and damp start on the North Bluff today.

Well I knew it was coming,,,,,,,,,,the Gator battery took a dump yesterday, still would start it but not very good. The thing is 10 years and 7 months old. Not bad. I will get a new one today at Farm & Fleet. Then more leaves this afternoon.

Sunny and 70s today

Not many of those left. Grass is cut along with the leaves. Mower is bedded down, I figure if needed I can always gas er up again. 10 years on a battery is a good life, got that on my P/U but one fall I swapped it out didn't want it to quit during the winter.

Did leaves twice today, they are falling like rain.
WOW so nice out there tonight that the wife and I built a bonfire,,,first time in nine years. We had them every weekend eleven years ago when we got this place and I cleared over two hundred trees for the house site.
Weather is still nice and the fire is going out. Mid 60s on a early November night. Can’t beat that on the North Bluff..

SJ, I did the same thing this year with the wife's car, she drives 51 miles one way to work and the battery was over 8 years old so I just replaced it. You got to know it would not fail in the drive way.

Mornin' boys.  Mild but a little damp in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Grandson is coming, so not much will git done.  Did some work on my MARX freight terminal yesterday, and found out rt has chased down something from my Postwar "wants" list.

Terrible what that cop from IL has put his family through. Sigh

Good morning,

Warm but damp here as well,

Today will be the last day of leaves. Put the 6' finish mower away yesterday and got the JD tractor ready for snow plowing.

Not just his family  Fife but the community and the whole police family to.  What a shame. They are saying the wife and oldest son were in the know on the money taken. Indifferent

Kinda cloudy, could be the last day of 70s for awhile. It reached 80 degrees in Flint Mi. yesterday. I used the warm day to get an oil change at the dealership. Figured most everyone else would be doing other things. No need to write about car dealers, for $34.00 I got the works including a car wash before they brought it out to me.

Aloha. All this good weather and all the sailboats are out of the water. . . Fife, I can be there in 15 hours or so Yes. Fox Lake, (that IL town with the corrupt cop) is where my wife's school is located. They were on lock-down all day back when all this happened. I feel sorry for the suspects he set up. Don't feel sorry for his family either - the wife and older son were involved in the scam.

evening all.

Finally finished breaking down the halloween layout, seems like it took longer than normal. Friday at the museum followed by the kid's club on saturday and all the ghouls & goblins saturday night made for a very long weekend. Thanks to the local rag did find that we are not the only crazies that do the halloween garage layout thing : http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2015/oct/30/fred-mcdowell-halloween-train/ , they are about ten miles from us.

Football, what will their new names be ? The Carson or LA Chargers, personally could care less. They want a new stadium  then open your own wallet to pay for it, no public financing . Whistling

Should be a busy day tomorrow, only two operators.

DJ, have you pissed somebody off lately. Sure would be fun to find out who it was for a bit of "payback".

Saw where Menards has a new building, a sauerkraut factory. Wonder if JT's can come out with a sauerkraut smoke fluid.

Gettin tired, later all.

Good evening all,

Spent all day yesterday putting trains on shelves.  Still not done.  Today we traveled to Madison, Indiana.  Checked out their local historical museum and restored train station.  Very nice.  Well worth the trip.  Made a side trip to Hanover College as well.  Still there.   Went to a presentation tonight at local high school.  Very good.  Congrats to Chief on win.   Raining here.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evening all!

Well the big storms passed north of here. Got some sprinkles/light rain. Not the 2-3 inches predicted the past week.

Celebrated wife's bday this evening. Kids joined us for a nice Italian dinner. Very pleasant time.

Have a great day tomorrow all!

Hello,

The family and I are still enjoying Ohio.  Work keeps me busy so I cannot post too often and with all the family activities going on, I rarely get on the computer at home.  I hope everyone is doing well.

Congratulations Chief!

Buckeye - Are you going to the Dayton train show this weekend?  If so, let me know.  I plan to attend Saturday.

SJ - What are the dates for the April York show?  I already told the wife I want to attend and she is supportive of me going.

Good morning from a sunny but way colder North Bluff.

Well did leaves twice yesterday and in the middle I went and gave blood. I will get my blood draw next week for the Dr. apt on the 19th. And I think after I get the draw I will head north for a few days to Mark's. Not sure where the money will come from but I could stand to get the heck out of here for a few. Darn 401 K ain't made nothing this year.  Bang Head  Bang Head

Good to hear form Joe.

Happy birthday to your wife Roy.  Cake

A lot of us kids got our spending money by being pin boys. There would always be a jerk in the crowd that would try to hit us with their second throw while we were in the pit picking up the pins. So for those jerks we would not send the ball back till we were finished in the pit.

Oh well. Good news is, I have begun distributing the equipment I rebuild that is outside of my interest to youngsters around me, and have plenty more projects to keep me busy/happy for a good bit now . As an aside, anyone ever considered kit bashing the short MPC flatcars to be crane cars/work cabeese?

Aloha - greyer and a lot colder today. More like it's supposed to be at this time of year, I guess. Missed all the storms - glad they missed you, Roy.

That sounds like a cool job, SJ. it would never be boring.

Have you seen the photos of the latest Menards buildings? Aren't they neat? !

These pictures are for you Bob.
Had some time today and got the replacement trucks yesterday so I thought why not.
I installed the trucks and wired up interior lights on the kit baggage car you sent me. I think it goes well with the RMT  Norfolk Southern Streamlined Passenger Car Set.
Thanks it was fun!!! Thanks a lot!!!!!!  Yes

Good afternoon all,

Took wife to imaging place today for CT scan of the skin cancer area.  Will see doctor on Monday.

Our son took off to spend the weekend with his girl friend in Palm Springs so we are home alone------again!  Doctors office is trying to get some home help for my wife and me indirectly.

Wife had to fast this morning before scan so we both skipped breakfast.  I made up for it with a brunch about 11:00AM.  Had a NY steak and eggs with hash browns and a large pancake.

Dougda, I read something about the chargers wanting to move to L.A/Carson but like you, I don't care either.  I am not a fan.

later,

Ray
