Mornin' All.
Killing some time before getting gussied-up for our monthly CHF group meeting. Today's topic will be assets/liabilities of an ICD.
Don, If you are setting up for battery ops why worry about cleaning track ? For mine I used a LGB cleaning block attached to a pole sander, beats the heck out of all that bending over or crawling around on gravel/rocks.
Later all.

Morning. Nice rain before light this AM. Had busy day yesterday. Resulting in things added to County budget for R'ville. Then mowed everyone's yards late yesterday.
RT, no shopping across the street. Mainly offices. Two restaurants and that is it.
Got afternoon meeting and R'ville HS graduation. A informal meeting with Co. Commissioner and School Board Chair tonight.
Enjoy.
OH!!! Got first real ripe tomato from garden yesterday.

Mornin' boys. 69 and drying out in the Mid-Atlantic region. Really need to get one of those thunder shirts for FifeMax. Wifey and grandson still in bed. Rough night. The boy's habits and ours aren't in sync. He is going to ENT doc today for an ear infection.
KRM - I've heard that about #2.
dougnotta - Pretty sure that's why Wifey is draggin' her feet on the "relocation".
Good Evening,
Had a good day today, The fuel gauge on my El Camino, has gone cafooey. Had the car to a Carburator Shop when I was getting it through the SMOG tests. Asked them about it and as I thought need to replace the sending unit. AND, they couldn't find one, said the best they could do was back order it, and best guess was "maybe" sometime in July! I had been thinking about it and went on-line and found it. So will have it in 3 or 4 days. Already have my regular mechanic lined up to replace it.
THEN, I decided to clean my G-Scale tracks, and got some Scotch Brite, and put it on my palm sander. Boy did that do great. And FAST ! Cleaned it all within 1 & 1/2 hours. My only concern is there any negative aspects of using Scot Brite on track? Think I will use it on my O-Scale.
Sitting here falling asleep, so better sign off.
Take Care and Stay Healthy!

Saturday, I wandered around the last day of the Scott Jophlin International Ragtime Festival that was in town last week. A bunch of good piano players, as usual. The last event is four of the performers who have been active in this festival for a long time kind of free lancing (slapsticking?) and goofing around. One of the pieces two of played was a ragtime arrangement of 'Rubber Ducky". Interesting.
Stopped by the LHS and put a several items on order. It will be interesting to see when/if they show up.
Watched the F1 race on Sunday and got the first coat of paint on one of the spare bedrooms. Yellow does not cover very well. I'll need to put another coat on.
There is a small invitation in the new Hot Rod magazine to send pictures of items other than cars that you have hot rodded. Think I'll send pictures of my 4 motor A-B-A Alco.
All for now.
Sounds like your on the right track thou Mike glad for you. That diet can get away from you very easily

Good evening all,
USA! USA! USA! US Women's National Team playing that all-American sport, won their first match in the World Cup 3-1 over Australia tonight. Megan Rapinoe got 2 of the goals as the US broke away from a 1-1 tie in the first half to get the first win in the round of 3. Long day with lots of medical and financial stuff. Have to watch diet better and doctor gave me some more drugs to bring blood pressure and chlorestoral (sp?)down. Got my feet checked out as well. Just a long day for being off work. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
G'day all !
Hot-n-sticky is the word for the day. Finished what little, and I do mean little, yard work so now I'm sitting in the shade and still sweating like the dickens.
Yesterday was veg-out day and I do mean veg-out. Off & on I slept at least half the day. Back to back days at the museum are currently pretty hard on this old geezer, hopefully the ICD can help with some of that. It seems as though we are having difficulty getting crews for the weekends so that puts some extra burden on others to fill-in.
Fife, Those early years with the grandfifepups will be some of the fondest of all memories. Unfortunately I missed most of our daughter's early years so the time that the munchkin spent with us, every friday plus some weekends was the best part of my last 10years. Even though his "train gene" has gone into remission.
Gotta run !
RT, looks like a nice house. Hope it works out for you and the misses.
Enjoyed the train meet yesterday with Don. We talked a lot about BCR's to replace batteries in trains. Also saw Don's friend Bob just back from York and some of my other friends including Larry.
Went to birthday party yesterday afternoon for friend celebrating his 95th. I think I ate too much.

Morning,
67 going to 85 this afternoon with more rain late in the day.
Well we got 2" yesterday and so the drive is washed out in all the usual places so Later today I will put the grader on the overpriced JD bucket loader and fix it up. Why can't it rain just nice and steady here? Downpours or nothing seem to be the only way. In the afternoon we got like 3/4" in ten minutes.
Basement is dry as a bone, so that is good.
Fife, wait till she has the second child. Everything changes. She won't be able to drop them off fast enough.
RT, why is it I keep thinking about the 1974 movie Macon County Line when you post of your move?

Mornin' boys. Partly cloudy and 64 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Good sleeping weather. Grandson and I just arrived home from a successful plundering of the local Dunkin' Donuts. He wasn't there 3 minutes and was flirting with the some secretary type...
We've set up a Carpet Central around the loveseat in the living room, using Fastrack. Started off with the MTH J, now the Bicentennial GG1. Oldest Princess was really crying when she left him on Friday. Was she crying about leaving him, or leaving him with Fifepops...?
Survived the weekend. Best my drivers did in Texas was 16th. Not a good night. Saw all 3 kids today. Got to watch both of the World Cup matches today. Interesting those games were on FOX and the NASCAR was on Fox Sports 1, just an observation. USA's first match is Monday night against the Matildas. I hope everyone has a good day.
WOW!!! That is a nice looking RT!! That is really fantastic really a nice looking house, and sounds like it is really convient. I see it as a WIN-WIN situation, you get a nice looking place and Chief will now have 2 votes in the next election instead of only one.
Went to the train club today, and sptent some time with Ray, had a real nice chat. I ended up buying a G-Scale Stock Car. Got an idea at the Saturday train show. Going to put an electronic Transceiver board and some batteries in the car, converting the engine to battery operated as oppossed to track power. The cool thing is by putting that stuff in a "trailing car" all I need to do is connect the car to any of my G-Scale engines. And they will run fun on my Dog-Bone in the back yard.
Well going to close but wishing RT and the Chief the best of luck in their new relationship.
Take care!
Aloha. Boy howdy, is it humid out! It's been cool all weekend so the temp change is sudden and complete with thunderstorms which means Torbin (Thunder Dog) is huddling under my chair. Happy belated birthday to the Chief! I am still writing table seating cards for the upcoming nuptials (next Sat). My wife said it is because i have the best handwriting. I think it's because I'm dumb enough to agree to do it. At least I got to watch a million episodes of Batman and my favorite British steam engine dvd.

Oh Banks and Don this is the house I'm looking at it's just 3 blocks from the chief and across the street from shopping which will help Donna as she doesn't drive and never has because of her eye sight. So if something happened to me it would be perfect for her and I could go run trains with the chief every day.
I could walk to chiefs from there.
You know it is kinda funny you have a Rebel living in North Carolina and a Yankee living in South Carolina so I guess I need to move to North carolina to feel more at home but stay here in the south where I like it and beside wife is from North Carolina. It's to cold for here up North.
Morning all hope its been a good weekend for you. Doing a lot around here. Getting ready and there lots to take care of here befor we do move.
Talk to you all later.

You will be out of a house if you think you are buying one in Roseyville.
Sunny and warm but not hot. In-laws coming for a afternoon meal of burgers on the grill. Think I have to cook.
Have a great week ahead.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill..........
It is a sunny 70 degrees. Going up to 84 today with rain tonite.
Today is an easy day. Ball game and Nascar race this afternoon. Not much else going on here.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Good morning Banks!
Went to bed early and just got up. The rain is jut starting and it looks like it will be a sizable one. So dark out there the shed light is still on. (BTW I am liking that LED light on the shed a lot) 72 degrees heading to 86 later, rain for most if not all of the day.
So with this rain, guess it will be a slow day on the old North Bluff today.
Yesterday was grand-daughter's graduation from pre-school. Kindergarten now.
Where is everyone?

Don, the parts guy is worth a shot. However, I doubt that he has parts for modern engines. Will check anyway.
Yes, today is D Day. I will never forget it. I was eight years old at the time. All those men gave their all for my generation and the future of us all.
God bless them.
D DAY
Lest we forget
Prayers for those in need
good evening all, work was busy. graduation for nephew was nice. none of my drivers qualified well at texas. i hope everyone has a good day. keep on training, mike c from indiana
Hello there,
TGIF!!!!!! Another week done.
Drags Hillclimb and garden on the agenda this weekend.
This time next Friday I should be relaxing at Fenwick Island DE
Lots t do before we leave.
Nite all
Ray,
I don't have any, sure of that. But, the parts guy is suppose to be in Arcadia on Sunday, he should. Suggest you might want to take the one out of the oppossing side to get the correct geometry, length and thread sizes. Hopefully see you Sunday.
Still working on my pool trying to get everything in balance. Have spent over $200 in the last week on chemicals etc.
Don, I don't really know what restrictions Glendora has put on refilling pools yet if any but I haven't heard. I am trying a floater now for dispensing chlorine but have to be careful because of vinyl lined pool. Have to keep the cholorine tablets away from the liner and only in the floater. Unless the drought ends soon, when this vinyl liner goes, I am not going to replace it and will just leave the pool emptly until the drought is over or until I die, whichever comes first.
I interviewed a backup caregiver lady yesterday if I need help occasionally and have to be away from the house. She is very nice and seems exactly like the type of person I wanted.
Don, glad to hear you got a good report on the healing. Very good indeed. See if you have any driving rod screws for MTH in your junk box. I am trying to get one from them (that they lost) but can't get anyone on the phone to confirm my request yet.
later,
Morning all. Sun trying to come out. That is good. Things growing.
rtraincollector Don well I want to leave here and Chief always talks about the free food he gets I figure I hang around with him and I could get fed for free also with that new house payment I would be looking at I would need all the free meals I could get. Morning all not much going on here need to go take my meds and then figure out what I'm going to do this morning. Talk to you all later

NO WAY!!!!!
This software stinks.
LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Morning all!
Takin' it easy today. Temps to hit close to 90 and hoomid.
Don - constant chemicals use harden the water. Then chlorine levels will not hold steady. Chlorine level bounces and spikes then nothing. So one gets algae blooms easily. In a plaster pool the high ph will start eating the plaster. If you have any copper pipe (we replaced ours) it will start leaching the copper into the plaster, turning it green (permanent). So the only way to fix it is to replace 1/2 to 2/3's of the water whenever the ph exceeds a certain level. Do you test the "hardness" of your pool water? It is an extra solution to add to most test kits.
Have a great day all!
Regards, Roy
